Chapter 4 - DOUBLE????

Chapter 4

Since when were males allowed to be this beautiful? The only beautiful male I'd seen was Dad, and this… this was another type of beautiful. His green eyes roamed all over me me calmly, and I felt a thousand nerves shifting, a thousand messages shooting to my brain and back to my body.

"She's your new roommate!"

"What!" They echoed.

"You know we don't have roommates, Genevra!" A female voice said, "this room is reserved for us alone. No one else is allowed!"

I couldn't even look up. I could feel the guy's eyes fixated on me. My heart was pounding, and my breath was coming out slow and heavy. I was trying to regulate my jumbled up emotions.

"Do you own the school!? Oh, why don't you open up your father's treasure deep in the ocean, and bring all the water's goodies to Principal Marshall! Maybe he'll be only too happy to sell his school to you, or maybe he'd be just as satisfied if you offered him your hand in marriage!" She snapped, and I felt a little bit of relief.

The goat lady didn't hate me. She was just a cranky person.

"Your dull brains may need to know she's Perez's daughter, who just realized she needed to go to school despite having nothing special about her. I don't care whatever you all think, but this is the only vacant dorm, and you all can as well erect another building for you all to stay in. Perhaps some grand palace out on the school grounds if your highnesses please. I'm sure she'd be glad to have all these to herself!" She snapped, and turned around, slamming the door.

Silence.

I was left alone with these people. No, not people—these creatures. I finally looked up. There was a really light skinned girl with light blue hair coming down in smooth curls down to her waist. She had ocean blue eyes the color of her hair, and markings of some kind of faint blue plant with three leaves on either side were imprinted on her cheeks.

Do I need to say it? Any female would turn lesbian just to have her smile at them. Even me! I wanted her to smile at me, to tell me something kind, to look at me sweetly. I wanted to get to know her. Damn… the rush of emotions she provoked. Everything was spiraling too fast.

Next to her was another girl with dark hair also tumbling down to her waist. Her eyes seemed to be a bottomless dark pit, and she simply stared at me without any reaction, her lips as pale as death. She looked like danger, the kind of danger you'd willing jump into. The one you'd happily allow to strangle you. Heck, she seemed to see through me. I shifted my eyes onto the last girl, who had her gracious blonde hair packed on top of her head, and her ears—elf ears. She walked towards me gracefully, slim and elegant.

This room was filled with beauty. Not to mention the other guy with light brown hair, and what seemed to be wine eyes. He had a sharp kind of handsomeness. The kind that seemed to say, *Don't touch, you'll get burned.* He felt like dangerous fire. He grinned, as his eyes went down my body. Maybe I was a little curvy, yeah, but his eyes seemed to regard me as his new toy. A thrill raced through me.

The elf stood before me, taller than I was. She came closer to sniff me, and I froze, staring into her golden eyes that seemed to promise an eternity of playing under golden trees, laughing, holding hands and getting warm under the sun.

"Uh, I'm… um… I'm…" honestly, my tongue was lost somewhere I didn't know..

"She's mortal. At least she smells like it," she said, her voice as smooth as honeym

"You're… an elf." I said awkwardly in an high pitch that wasn't mine. Damn!

"The ears gave it away, didn't they?" She didn't smile, but she didn't give an hostile vibe either.

"And me?" The blue-haired girl asked, brows raised, like a challenge, as she tucked her blue hair behind her ear, showcasing elf ears, "Let's make a deal, mortal. If you get it wrong, then you do whatever I say for a day."

"I'm not interested," I said stiffly. Dad had said a lot about making bargains with mythical creatures. They could be cruel.

"Boring." she retorted.

"Elf? Y…your ears," Okay, maybe we should stop talking, Ceci. Stuttering makes me sound and look like a fool.

"Wrong," the blue-haired girl rolled her eyes, and went back to eating.

"She's a Nymph," the heartthrob on the staircase said, walking to me. He flashed bright teeth, with slightly pointed canines, and my heart leaped, "A water nymph. She's a Naiad."

"Oh," I looked away.

He walked around me, his fingers playing on my shoulders. I stiffened.

"Do you have problems looking into people eyes? You seem to be shy," he said, amused, as he came to stand before me.

"No, I do not…" I tried to look up into his eyes, and they nearly sucked me in.

Man, this green-eyed boy was going to be difficult to avoid. His height wasn't helping. I felt intimidated, cornered…

"I'm too handsome, don't you agree?" He asked, then seeing my shock, burst out laughing.

Wow. Him laughing nearly knocked me out breathless. I can cry out of jealousy.

"I'm thinking you staying here may be actually fun. I've never had a mortal so close to me," he said, touching my skin, "Wow, she's so soft," he suddenly exclaimed like he was touching something he'd never touched before.

I stepped back, "What are you?"

A slender finger came under my chin, raising it, "Your Alpha," he said his voice lighter than air, and my heart skipped. He smirked, his eyes suddenly shifting to a powerful red.

A werewolf… like mom.

"Enough of the flirting! That's disgusting, Damien! Hey, go to the last room upstairs," the Naiad said, coming to grab the green-eyed boy's arm, who kept grinning at me.

Carefully, I picked up my snack traveling bag, and wheeled my way up the stairs, aware of all their eyes watching me. I was shaky all over.

I located the last room which stood alone at the end of the hall. Quickly, I made my way to it, needing to think of that encounter, and trying to get that green-eyed boy's smile out of my head. I barged into the room, and closed the door, looking around. It had blue lights, and there were lots of books on the desk, and shelf. The bed was large, and neatly spread, the walls painted in white. There was a guitar in the far end, and portraits of fangs that all seemed to have been painted by someone obsessed with fangs. I dropped all my stuff, and walked to the floor-length mirror, looking at my flushed face.

It didn't seem real yet. None of what was happening did. Back in the human world, my beauty was that of a Queen's. I got proposals I didn't need, and attention I never wanted, but here… I paled in contrast to their beauty.

I placed a hand to my cheek, and looked into my dark eyes. Would I be fine here? Did I want to be here? What was awaiting me in Mysia?

I stepped back slowly, my eyes roaming over my own body, only to bump into something solid and warm.

I froze. Nothing…nothing was behind me previously. And nothing was in the mirror I was staring into. Just me…

"And you are?" A smooth voice came out, and my throat parted, a scream tearing out, only for me to be turned, pushed and smashed into the mirror, a firm hand on my mouth, wrenching off my scream.

The mirror splintered into shards that pierced my back, but that wasn't my concern. The horror of what was before me shone in my eyes.

It wasn't the bright blue eyes or the somewhat pale skin. No. This was the exact replica of green-eyed boy who was downstairs. This was green-eyed boy with blue eyes instead. How…?

A little smirk tugged at the lips of the figure before me.

"Mortal," he drawled.

Suddenly, the door was kicked open and in came green-eyed boy, who seemed to have rushed up the stairs.

What the!?

"Oh yeah. You met him already. Meet Hayden."
