Chapter 5 - Ch-05 We can use him.

Gojo said, "What exactly is happening to me right now? Why am I suddenly able to sense and manipulate the world in this way? Is this all because I ate that strange fruit just now? And wait — isn't this power exactly the same as that of Gojo Satoru from the Jujutsu Kaisen anime? What in the world is going on with me? Not only have I transmigrated into the world of One Piece under the name Gojo Satoru, but I also seem to have consumed a fruit that granted me powers similar to the Limitless ability of Gojo Satoru himself. How is this even possible?"

At this point, Gojo was now completely certain that the fruit he had eaten was, without a doubt, a Devil Fruit. Even though he had not watched the initial episodes of One Piece — the series being extremely long and having only followed it from the later stages — he still understood the basic workings of the world. A fruit that had such an unusual, peculiar shape and such a disgusting, unbearable taste — something that made him grimace instantly — could only ever be a Devil Fruit. Its characteristics left no doubt in his mind: the fruit's structure, its strange colour and patterns, and the sudden, immense power it had granted him were all unmistakable signs.

After contemplating the situation for a few moments, he said to himself, "There is no use in overthinking my current circumstances. It's not like I can return to any place from before I transmigrated, nor can I ask anyone in this world to explain what is happening to me. I'll leave what happens to me and my future to the future itself."

This mindset was characteristic of Gojo in his previous life. He generally did not worry too much about the consequences of his actions; instead, he focused on what was happening in the present and lived moment to moment. Whatever might happen in the future would happen — there was very little he could do to change it. If there were something within his power that could improve the future, he would certainly act, but in his current situation, there was almost nothing he could do to alter the circumstances he faced.

What he needed to focus on right now was using the immense power he had gained from this Devil Fruit — the power of Limitless — to find a way to escape from the predicament he was trapped in.

Although Gojo had closed his eyes, even with them shut he could perceive every single detail of his surroundings—everything but color. He could sense the edges of the wooden deck beneath his feet, the slight sway of the ship, the positions of each pirate, and even the faint creak of ropes swaying in the wind. Every structural detail of the ship was clear to him; the gaps between planks, the angles of the railings, and the distance to the mast. Moving forward with calm precision, he navigated effortlessly, a silent shadow among the chaos.

One of the pirates, startled by the boy's sudden movement, shouted loudly across the deck. "Captain! That money boy has escaped from his room! One of the cannonballs must have struck the door and shattered it completely—he took this chance and ran!" His voice trembled slightly, caught between the roar of cannon fire and the shock of seeing the boy slip past them so easily.

Finn, the captain, immediately turned his glare toward Gojo, taking in the boy who was now steadily approaching. "Boy, get back in your room. Right now," he barked, his voice low and threatening. "If you don't, I will shoot. Do you understand me?"

With his eyes still firmly closed, Gojo slowly turned his head to face the captain, as if mocking the very threat. His voice was calm, deliberate, and unshakable. "Go ahead. Do whatever you want. I don't fear you."

Finn's irritation, already simmering from multiple frustrations—the abrupt interruption of his rest, the incompetence of his guards, the relentless assault from the marines, and the precarious state of the ship—boiled over instantly. Every small annoyance compounded into a tidal wave of fury. His face twisted with rage as he leveled his gun at Gojo, his knuckles whitening around the weapon. "You bastard!" he shouted, voice cracking with anger. "Do you really think I won't kill you? I swear, I am going to kill you!"

Around them, the sounds of chaos—the creaking wood, the shouting crew, and the distant thunder of cannon fire—seemed to fade for a moment, leaving only the tense standoff: one boy, unnervingly calm, and one captain, consumed by a fury that threatened to spill over.

Just as Finn was about to press the trigger and fire, Juno, the vice-captain, suddenly shouted, "No! Wait a minute, Captain. Don't shoot this boy. He could turn out to be an important asset for us if we want to get out of this mess alive."

Finn whipped his head toward Juno, his eyes narrowing with a mix of surprise and irritation. "What are you talking about?" he demanded, his voice tense. "How is he supposed to help us escape from the marines who are swarming around us? Tell me, how?"

Gojo, listening to their exchange, silently noted the truth of the situation. The Minnow pirates were not being threatened by any rival crew; the real danger came from the marines, whose numbers were overwhelming and whose goal was clear—they wanted to capture the pirates alive or dead.

"Calm down, Captain," Juno continued, his voice firm but measured. "Think this through carefully. This boy is just a civilian—an innocent caught in all this chaos. If we present him to the marines as a hostage, there's a high chance they won't attack us directly. They won't risk harming him. In fact, we could even demand an escort, using him as leverage. It's a way to protect ourselves while escaping this battlefield without suffering any further losses."

Finn's eyes widened slightly as the words sank in. For a moment, all the frustration, anger, and fear that had been building inside him—the constant bombardment, the incompetence of his crew, the relentless marine assault—seemed to melt away. Slowly, a gleam of sharp, calculated hope appeared in his gaze. "You're absolutely right," he said, almost to himself, his voice carrying a mixture of relief and renewed determination. "Why didn't I think of that before? Yes… this will work. This plan will give us the best chance to get out of this alive, all of us."
