Now that the suit had been tested and Wanda's abilities successfully stimulated, things were finally on track. Although she had not yet reached the peak level of the Scarlet Witch, her current strength was already more than sufficient.

"Red Queen, what's happening?" Xu Dan asked urgently.
A small red holographic figure immediately appeared beside him.
"Master, a large volume of seawater has suddenly appeared inside the high-speed pipeline leading to the southwest of the main city," the Red Queen reported.
"Water?"
Water was the foundation of human life, praised in countless stories for its adaptability and versatility—but inside an underwater city, that was an entirely different matter.
A moment later, Xu Dan suddenly realized something.
"No. The pipe walls can't possibly be breached. Even if someone tried to sabotage them, the defense systems would have triggered immediately."
The Red Queen nodded.
As Xu Dan's right-hand intelligence system, she would have detected any damage to the city's infrastructure instantly.
This situation was clearly abnormal.
"After a full system inspection, all facilities are functioning normally," she reported. "That means the seawater appeared out of thin air."
"What about mutants?" Xu Dan asked. Although he accepted mutants, that didn't mean he ruled them out as suspects.
"No mutant activity has been detected," the Red Queen replied.
Xu Dan nodded. There was no time for further questioning. Seawater appearing out of nowhere inside the city was a serious matter.
"Seal off the entire southwestern passage," he ordered.
Since even the Red Queen could not determine the cause, the best course of action was simply to isolate the area and prevent further damage.
"Yes, Master."
The source of the sudden seawater remained unknown, though fortunately the flow rate was not large.
By the time Xu Dan arrived, the entire transportation pipeline had already become a gigantic test tube filled with seawater.
Inside that massive glass-like structure, several fish were even swimming leisurely.
"These fish are surprisingly carefree," Xu Dan said helplessly. "They have no idea what their fate is, and they're still taking a stroll."
He then added, "Red Queen, trace the origin of these fish."
The Red Queen replied almost instantly.
"They are all shallow-water species, typically found directly above our location."
"Hmm…"
Xu Dan frowned.
"This looks like spatial disorder… but why has nothing like this ever appeared on Earth before?"
While he was still pondering, the phone in his pocket suddenly rang.
Only the black technology developed by Antarctic Enterprises could maintain a signal at such depths beneath the ocean.
The caller was Dr. Selvig.
"Hello? What's going on?" Xu Dan asked.
"Dan, I've discovered something extremely important," Selvig said excitedly. "According to my calculations, my hypothesis is almost confirmed. I'm about eighty percent certain now…"
"Short version."
"Ah—right. The Nine Realms may be aligning!"
Xu Dan instantly understood.
The convergence of the Nine Realms—exactly the event depicted in Thor 2.
And it perfectly explained the current situation.
In the movie, flocks of birds could vanish from the sky and suddenly appear underground. The overlapping of the Nine Realms caused spatial distortions on a massive scale—it wasn't limited to just the literal merging of nine regions.
Those birds might have disappeared from one point on Earth, slipped through a spatial overlap into another realm, then reappeared somewhere else entirely.
In this case, the explanation was similar.
Seawater from the ocean above could be flowing into a spatial rift, passing through another realm, and then re-emerging elsewhere—such as the southwestern pipeline inside Xu Dan's underwater city.
Water leaving Earth… traveling through another world… and returning to Earth at the wrong location.
This was extremely important information.
Because it implied several things.
First, the Dark Elves—once defeated by Asgard—were about to return. They were lunatics determined to plunge the universe back into darkness. At least, that was their public claim. Their true motives were likely far more complex.
Second, the Aether—also known as the Reality Stone—would soon appear. As someone determined to collect the Infinity Stones, Xu Dan could not ignore this. The Reality Stone played a crucial role in his plans.
Third, the convergence of the Nine Realms itself represented an enormous opportunity.
For many people.
Malekith wanted to use this moment to conquer the Nine Realms with the power of the Aether.
Xu Dan, however, intended to use the same opportunity to accomplish something even greater.
"Wanda, I'll leave things here to you for now," Xu Dan said. "There shouldn't be another spatial anomaly like this one. If it happens twice, I'd have to assume my luck is unbelievably bad."
The Nine Realms were vast. For spatial chaos to occur once in his underwater city was already extraordinarily unlikely.
If it happened a second time, that would truly be absurd.
"Huh?" Wanda blinked, clearly confused.
She had no idea what Xu Dan was planning.
Besides, she barely understood the systems in this place. She didn't even know the basics of operating the equipment.
Xu Dan continued, "Just stay here and keep watch. If something happens, deal with it using your powers. But the odds of another anomaly are practically one in a hundred million."
"What about you?" Wanda asked. "What are you going to do?"
"I'm going to take care of something with the Red Queen."
As soon as the words left his mouth, Xu Dan turned and shot off in another direction without waiting for further questions.
Wanda watched his rapidly disappearing figure, confusion filling her mind.
In her eyes, Xu Dan had always been calm, composed, and completely in control.
But now… there was unmistakable urgency in his departure.
And the danger here hadn't even been resolved yet.
So why was he leaving now?
