I listen attentively as Regulus recounts what happened after I left the rendezvous point.
"So, they simply took Seth away?"
"Yes. They said that the leader had ordered all able-bodied Variants to participate in the campaign. Since Seth is one of them, he had no choice but to go."
"And you?"
"They left me behind. I tried following them, but they noticed and warned me to stay away. I didn't want to risk getting caught, so I returned here."
"I see."
I rub my chin.
The Brilliant Dawn of Humanity must be taking this campaign seriously if they are mobilising every able-bodied Variant. Their objective is to kill a Rank 6 Magivore and secure its territory, which is no small undertaking.
I wonder how much they know about the creature and whether their leader has a proper plan.
More importantly, I need to find out what they intend to do with Seth.
"Do you know how long ago they left?"
"Several hours."
"Then I should leave immediately."
I stand up and begin preparing my belongings.
