Chapter 11 - Chapter 11: Who am I tamed for, who am I angry for

After midnight, the coffee shop gradually filled with more customers.

However, many customers, both men and women, while enjoying their coffee or milk tea, frequently cast their gaze towards the perfect woman at a corner table, yet dared not sit too close due to her powerful aura.

Diana, like a beautiful scenic view, stood up from her chair first and bid farewell to Barbara across the table: "That's all I wanted to say. If there's nothing else, I'll head back. It's getting late, and my child will be worried at home."

"What... a child?!"

Cups in the coffee shop immediately crashed to the floor.

The men and women at the nearby tables, who had originally intended to approach and strike up a conversation, heard Diana's words and their feigned elegant expressions instantly vanished, replaced by feelings of despondency and despair.

Barbara was equally shocked by this peculiar term, confirming Vincent's place in Diana's heart.

But, who would have thought?

A god would truly become family with a human.

Barbara watched Diana for a long time, then finally whispered, "You can't hide it from him forever."

"Of course." Diana's flawless face bore a faint smile as she softly said, "When he turns eighteen and is fully an adult, I will tell him everything he wants to know. He can choose what kind of life he wants to live, and I will respect his decision. But for now, I won't allow anyone to disturb that child's life."

As she finished speaking, a cold light flashed in Diana's eyes, and then she turned and walked out of the coffee shop, her boots clicking.

"He's just an ordinary human boy, after all." Barbara shook her head, finding it hard to accept, and recalling Diana's previous words, she suddenly smiled and muttered, "Vincent Prince. How did you do it? I really want to meet you sometime."

How could a child adopted by a god indirectly tame a deity?

...Diana walked out of the coffee shop, looked up at the light snow falling from the night sky, and inexplicably thought:

Is that child currently hunched over his homework at the table, or sitting on the sofa watching TV, or already asleep in bed in his room?

Whichever it is.

Diana suddenly wanted to see Vincent, to kiss that child's face, to carefully embrace his body, just like the ordinary days of the past sixteen years.

"It turns out, I'm scared too."

Catching the white snow with her palm, feeling a touch of cold, Diana murmured softly.

This morning, upon learning that Barbara had shown Vincent a photo of her from the World War I era. Compared to Vincent's unease and apprehension, Diana was actually just as afraid.

Diana was worried that Vincent, upon knowing that she was a descendant of a god, that she had lived for hundreds of years, ageless and immortal, would see her as a monster and create a rift, and that their life together could very well be overturned as a result.

Therefore, Diana concealed her true identity as Wonder Woman.

After buying a hamburger near the coffee shop, Diana carried the takeout bag and started heading home. Seeing a Police car parked on the road downstairs, and several Police officers patrolling, Diana suddenly had an ominous premonition.

She quickly entered the elevator and returned to her apartment door.

Diana took a deep breath, unlocked and pushed open the door. Immediately, a cold wind whistled in through the broken French window on the balcony, disheveling Diana's hair as she stood at the doorway.

The pitch-black living room was filled with severely damaged furniture, and the floor also had obvious marks of trampling and cracks.

And from Diana's perspective, her armor and weapons, which she had always hidden on the living room ceiling, were all gone.

"Something happened." Diana clenched her hands, her beautiful eyes showing a calm devoid of any emotion.

That was her divine nature infinitely amplifying... Meanwhile, on the other side.

As pedestrians evacuated the smoke-filled urban war zone, Vincent, lying on the top floor of a church, had an expression of utter disbelief on his face.

"How could it be her?"

Vincent stared intently at the battlefield not far below, at the lower half of the young girl's face revealed as Spider-Woman removed her mask.

She looked too much like Gwen Stacy, his childhood friend!

If it weren't for the fact that she was currently binding the mighty Abomination with webs, and defying common sense by sitting on a ten-meter-high building exterior, Vincent would have almost identified Spider-Woman's true identity.

However, Spider-Woman's voice was clearly different.

"Could it be that they just happen to look alike?" Before Vincent could think further, the battle below took another turn.

Several sounds of tough webs snapping could be heard, and under Spider-Woman's astonished gaze nearby, several webs suddenly snapped under the immense pressure. More webs, though still fixed to the building's exterior, also faced a complete collapse in the next moment—the building's exterior, which held the webs, was pulled down along with the webs!

Boom!

For a moment, the ground shook, and dust rose to replace the white snow.

The building Spider-Woman was sitting on also collapsed, and Spider-Woman fell down, caught off guard. In mid-air, she was about to shoot new webs to swing away, but at that moment, a massive green hand violently broke through the spiderwebs and the exterior wall, its five fingers like iron clamps firmly gripping Spider-Woman's waist, imprisoning her hands as well!

From within the dust, a pair of cold, terrifying green beast eyes opened.

"Let go of me!" Spider-Woman struggled and cried out. No matter how hard she pulled, that hand did not budge an inch.

This terrifying, inhuman strength reminded her of the cross-dressing pervert she had encountered on the rooftop earlier.

Abomination grinned ferociously. Beneath its colossal, two-meter-tall monster body, the petite Spider-Woman in its hand seemed as tiny as an infant.

It naturally did not release its left hand gripping Spider-Woman, but instead raised its other hand, wrapping its right hand over its firmly clenched left hand.

As Abomination's two hands squeezed together, the gripped hands contracted inward inch by inch, Spider-Woman's struggles diminished, and blood oozed from her tightly pursed lips.

Clearly, Abomination intended to crush her to death!

Spider-Woman Gwen's legs dangled downwards, completely losing the strength to resist, and her consciousness began to dim and blur.

"Am I going to die here? Wait, I haven't even worn a white wedding dress yet..."

Gwen thought with reluctance, then her vision went black and she fainted.

However.

In her last moment of consciousness, as if in a rapidly fading memory, she heard the most familiar voice of a young boy.

"Let go of her!"

A silver glint arrived first, splitting the inky black night sky and the fiery red fire in two.

Abomination was completely unprepared for an ambush at this moment, and even if it had known, it wouldn't have cared, as even thermal weapons like rocket launchers couldn't penetrate its defenses. So, it merely watched as the sword tip magnified in its pupil's reflection.

This time, it was wrong!

Pfft!

The vintage longsword instantly pierced through its closed, hard eyelid, and the right eyeball inside then burst open, a section of the blade completely embedding itself into Abomination's eye socket!

How, how could this be?

Abomination froze, its sole remaining eye suddenly wide open, looking at the silver-haired young man who had fallen from the sky onto its arms.

"I'm very curious. Monster, do you feel pain?"

Perhaps due to the divine nature inherited from his abilities, Vincent's face was very calm, without a hint of emotion displayed outwardly.

But precisely because of this, it showed his current anger!
