The two-week vacation was deeply fulfilling.
Somehow, I think I was spoiled to the absolute limit by Rice Shower's parents.
And I can't deny how happy that made me. I've never had parents in this world. Being cared for like that… it stirred something warm inside me.
I'll repay that kindness with everything I have—through love and training for Rice-chan.
"Hmm, well rested."
"It's true."
Rice looked refreshed too.
Come to think of it, she hadn't taken a proper break since we signed our contract. After two full weeks of rest, she'd filled out a little—her body plump and firm, her energy restored.
She was now in excellent condition.
From here, we'll ease back into training and then dive into the voluntary summer camp next week.
"By the way, who's Rice-chan inviting to the camp?"
"Mihono Bourbon and Nishino Flower."
"I'm always grateful for their help with slope training."
Rice had invited two of her closest classmates.
Still, Mihono is technically her rival—especially in the classical races. I wondered if I should intervene… but no. Trying to play matchmaker in a Love Derby would only get me kicked by a horse girl. Better to watch quietly and support her from the sidelines.
"What about you, Viola?"
"Ayrton Symboli and the others said they'd join. Lovely-san might bring someone extra."
I had invited a few classmates, but many were busy with family training or housework. Honestly, a smaller group might be easier to manage. My organizational skills aren't exactly top-tier.
It was a bit surprising that Ayrton Symboli chose to join us instead of training with her own family. Maybe something came up at home?
"I'll start taking measurements tomorrow to prep for camp. Please let Mihono-san and Nishino-san know we'll meet at 9 a.m."
"Got it. But… I might've gained a little weight over the break…"
"Rice-chan is cuter when she's plump."
"I'm not sure how to respond to that…"
"I meant it as a compliment…"
She's already slim, and a little softness is ideal before intense training. Plus, it's just more comfortable to work with. Okay, that last part is personal preference.
Now it's my turn to get serious—planning training menus, meal plans, and schedules.
Let's rest up tonight.
Tomorrow, the real work begins!
