The advancement in technology enabled humans to travel to distant planets within the galaxy, and with it, encountered life forms which came to be known as beasts, and within them, crystals that would better aid with the advancement were discovered.

As the school bell was heard, a slender girl with golden eyes and long black hair was lost in thought as she stared outside her window.
"Aren't you going home? It's getting late, you know." Veronica spoke with concern in her eyes as she got closer to her friend Lyra.
"I'm just enjoying these few moments of peace before I go. Besides, no one is even gonna notice me if I am a few hours late."Lyra said with a reassuring smile on her face, but her eyes were as cold as winter itself.
'I might as well not go back, but that would be even more problematic. '
"Arlight then". As Veronica left, Lyra took out her phone and saw news that the mayor had funded an enormous amount to the enforcers.
"Tch, another ruse to get my dear younger brother out of trouble, I see. Oh well, it's not like I didn't expect this tho next time I should be more careful and make sure not to leave my tracks." After she was done, she headed to the front of the school, where a driver was waiting for her, and as the driver saw her, he got out and opened the back door for her, and let her get in.
As the car was driving through the city, it was able to see various tall buildings and bright coloured stores, and as it went on, a large holographic billboard with a man presenting Aetheris Academy.
"Huh! Guess it's almost time then, my life is going to be so much trouble, but at least I will be safely out of that house." As she said this, she started remembering the day she found out about her powers.
At the age of 7, a woman was shouting at her for seemingly just bumping into her in the house, and as she was about to slap her, Lyra saw a small illusion of a hand about to smack her and instinctively backed away, and just then the woman's hand nearly missed her face. The woman became more furious, then another woman came in and hugged her and took her away from there. She knew it was her mother, and the other woman was her stepmother.
"How intriguing, that woman was the trigger to the very same thing that will bring ruin to her and her children".
"Miss, we are here". The driver spoke after opening the door for her to get out.
It was dinner time at the Caelis Household almost the entire family was seated eating dinner, and as she was eating, she would see her little brother stealing small glances at and with eyes that seemed furious, so much so that it put a small smile on her face.
'Well, this is certainly entertaining.' As she gobbled another slice of meat, she put the most exemplary smile on her face, directing it to her brother. Darien Veyra was seeing small veins almost pop out of his head.
'You damn bitch I don't know how, but you must have been involved with the incident, and I will fucking kill you. '
"It would appear that you're excited to be enlisted in the academy, daughter, so much so that you're putting that smile on your face". Magnus caelis said casually as he was continuing to eat his meal.
"Yes, Father, I am very excited as it would be a good opportunity to further my abilities."
"Too bad your abilities are simply subpar compared to Darein, what was it again, mmmmh oh yeah, you can slightly guess with your instincts when something happens." Selene Veyre said with an amusing smile on her face as if she was complimenting a dog catching a ball.
'Seriously, that's the best you can do, let me do you one better. '
"At least I would use it to further benefit this family, not use it to threaten a minor into bed with because I couldn't get a real woman to sleep with me". As those words escaped Lyra's mouth, Darien abruptly got up from his seat.
"YOU SLY B*#CH! I know-"
"ENOUGH." As Magnus said those words, the room became engulfed with a small pressure that stopped everyone from moving
"Not only did you bring shame to my name as the mayor, but also as the father, I am deeply disgusted by you. In fact, I just lost my appetite". After that, Magnus left his seat and left the room silently, and a small chuckle could be heard. And it would seem that it came out of Lyra's mouth.
As she got off to leave the room, she also said loudly for no one in particular, "Be careful, Ilyra, who knows what our brother might do to you as well".
Ilyra, seen seated next to her brother, looked scared and shocked, and as his brother was about to console she ran away immediately from the room.
In a large room with almost filled shelves with books and a large bed, Lyra stands in front of a picture depicting her and her mother, as she begins to reminisce about her childhood before the accident. And just as she was about to touch the painting. A sudden knock could be heard from the door.
"What is it?"
"The master would like to speak to you in his office in private". As the sound of the maid was heard, Lyra stayed still for a couple of seconds before shouting, "I will be right there".
As she entered the office, she instinctively activated her ability, as she was most cautious around his father
"You asked for me, Father".
"Yes, how have you been preparing with the enlistment of the exam to determine your rank?".
'Right, the enlistment includes various ranks'

As Lyra was about to leave, he heard Magnus speak
"Do not disappoint me, Lyra, you know what you have to do". Magnus spoke with calm yet slight authority.
