Trees of Three part 1
Grey navigated the woods, the glow of trees and plants casting an eerie light. His stomach growled, reminding him he'd forgotten to eat. "Oh yeah, I forgot to eat before I left," he muttered.
As he searched for food, he spotted a bright red fruit with blue dots. Before he could grab it, a small green hand snatched it away. A goblin, with a big head, ugly yellow eyes, and teeth, laughed at Grey before devouring the fruit.
Grey's anger flared. "Give it back!" he demanded.
The goblin tried to flee, but its head suddenly exploded, showering Grey with gore. Grey stumbled back, shocked.
A voice echoed in his mind, "Achievement unlocked: Goblin Popper." A new skill, "Tag," was added to his abilities.
Grey's fear gave way to curiosity. He checked his status:

The mysterious skill "Tag" puzzled Grey. "Why is it named Tag?" he wondered.
Hours passed, and Grey found no food. Afraid of poisonous plants, exhausted, and famished, he stumbled upon a dark, empty cave. Despite his reservations, he entered, collapsing from exhaustion.
A dream consumed him. A man made of words, with phrases like "Great one," "Farther," "the way," and "Nozin" swirling within him, spoke to Grey.
"Hey, your name is Grey, right?" the man asked.
"Yeah, why?" Grey replied, confused.
"Don't worry about it. You're too weak. You'll die if you stay with me for even a minute. Just remember, those people you're about to meet... don't trust them."
The man vanished, leaving Grey shocked. "Who was that?" Grey wondered as he woke up.
A group of people stumbled upon the cave, finding Grey. "Are you okay?" one of them asked.
"I think he needs food," Noah said.
"Yeah, I think so," Reln, the leader, agreed.
The group consisted of five people: Reln, with a sword and shield; Smith, with a spear; Ama, a skilled archer; and two kids around Grey's age.
As they offered Grey food, they asked him to join their group. Grey hesitated, weighing his options. Despite an uneasy feeling, he decided to join them.
