Chapter 3 - 3 The meeting

I hear talking outside the door. That's a good sign, right? Something is gonna happen. I listen in and hear his name. Yes, the one I've been waiting for. I sit up straighter and cross my legs, trying to look more presentable for the man I've loved since kindergarten. He was a jerk, sure, but underneath I know he's a good guy waiting to sweep me off my feet. He just needed a push.

I catch a glimpse of sandy blonde hair and blush. Calm down, Izuku. You'll be fine. It's only you're first time seeing him since middle school. He's still the same Kacchan. I might've changed, but maybe he'll like me back now? The thought alone makes me grin.

The door cracks open and Eraser Head comes in with his scarf at the ready, and behind him, my prince charming. We lock eyes and he goes deathly pale. He stops in his tracks and his breathing grows heavier. I can smell his fear from over here. I smile genuinely and ear to ear.

"Kacchan! You finally came!" He flinches at my voice. To be fair, it is a lot easier than middle school, but it's still about the same. I look about the same too. I'm wearing the kind of clothes that make you a shadow, my green hair long ago dyed black. I'm palee than I already was, and I guess I do have a blood stains and scars. But none of the blood is mine, so it's fine.

He looks like he cant decide between running, fainting, or blasting me to next week. "You're... You're dead, Deku... I watched you bleed out on front of me..." Eraser Head looks intrigued, but remains silent and holding his scarf at the ready.

I frown. "Kacchan... I did bleed out in front of you on the ground, but... You only ran. You never called for help. You wouldn't know if I lives or died. Lucky for you, though, I lived. The L.O.V. took me after All For One put me back together. They seemed to like those 'stupid notebooks' you blew up. Funny, huh?" I smiled at him brightly. Hopefully knowing what happened to me would calm his nerves. "It's so sweet you care, though."

When I walked into that room, I wished I was the dead one. He was just... Sitting there, covered in dried blood and a crazed look in his eyes. He looked like the sun hadn't seen him in years, and he was practically a shadow. He had to be ghost... Just had to be, because if he was alive, then... No. This fake doesn't even have the same hair color as that nerd.

"You're... You're dead, Deku... I watched you bleed out in front of me..." The stupid ghost smiled at me. A big, classic, Deku smile. Except for the fact it was a little too wide, a little to thin, a little too sharp. This... Thing, whatever it was, was NOT the dang nerd I watched die. That smile was the same one he had while he hit the ground. That f-er. That gosh dang idiot.

The ghost frowned and explained what happened to him. That I left him to die. My legs started to shake. I felt sick. No, no no no! This is all some twisted joke, or some kinda nightmare! That idiot died... A long time ago... Tears sprang to my eyes and threatened to fall. No. I refuse to except this. This THING, this MONSTER, is the not the green haired idiot I watched die.

I turned around to leave, when the creature snarled my name.

"Kacchan? Don't leave... I still have so much to tell you, my love..." I shivered when it called me 'love.' That creature doesn't know the first thing about Deku. Deku hated me. That's why he jumped.
