HARLEIGH'S POV:
Were Francheska and Eric caught?!
I swallow hard as I reach for my phone from Damian's grip.
After entering the password, I hand it back to him and let him scroll through it.
My heart thuds painfully, but his tense expression softens when he finds nothing except old calls and messages.
Luckily, out of instinct and caution, I deleted all call logs and text messages from Eric and Harper, and I told them to do the same.
Even so, I'm still not entirely relieved.
What if Damian takes my phone again and they contact me? All our plans to save Alpha Torrin will fall apart.
"Why do you have to hide your phone underneath the mattress?" Damian asks, suspicion still threading through his tone.
"I'm scared you'd take it away, and I'd lose contact with the new friends I made in Dingle Valley," I answer.
"If those friends won't interfere between us, then there's no reason to fear me. Unless,…"
