After several hours of waiting, the sky had turned a dusky yellow. The girl named Felt returned to the hideout, humming a tune.
The moment he saw her, Satou Kazuma's eyes widened in surprise.
This girl... was the same one he had run into earlier, the one whose panties he stole, and who had given him a flying kick in return!
"You... you... it's you!"
"What are you pointing at? Who the hell are you?"
Felt looked at Kazuma with a confused expression.
"You... you don't recognize me?"
"I've never seen you before. Don't just talk to me like you know me!"
Felt frowned, looking at Satou Kazuma with disdain. After all, the wounds on his face hadn't fully healed, making him look rather creepy.
"Just as I thought."
Felt's reaction was within Kazuma's expectations. He had only asked again to confirm if she remembered him.
This further proved his earlier theory: time had indeed been reset.
Natsuki Subaru stepped forward and explained his purpose to Felt. He learned she had also been commissioned to steal the insignia—but if Subaru could offer a
higher price, she was willing to sell it to him.
In the end, Natsuki Subaru took his cell phone from his pocket and gave it to Felt and Old Man Rom, claiming it was a "metia" that could freeze time.
Hearing this, Kazuma and Aqua, who were standing nearby, had to turn away to keep Felt from seeing their expressions, which were struggling to hold back laughter.

Then again, in a world without internet or electricity, a cell phone was pretty useless.

Old Man Rom said, holding Subaru's phone. Kazuma and Aqua whipped their heads around at the same time, staring at him.

They had worked their asses off all afternoon, using 'Steal,' and hadn't made anywhere near that amount.
The skill's target was random, so they rarely got valuables. Plus, the pawn shop they found knew the items were stolen and ripped them off, and Kazuma was in no position to bargain.
"This should be enough to buy the insignia," Subaru said with a smile.
Satou Kazuma and Aqua immediately rushed over to Subaru, asking with utmost seriousness, "Subaru, are you really going to use those twenty holy gold coins to buy that insignia?!"
"Um..."
"Are you sure!? Are you sure!? Twenty holy gold coins could keep us feasting for a long time!"
"I'm very sure. I have to repay that beautiful girl's kindness!" Subaru said with a firm tone.
Hearing his answer, Aqua and Kazuma deflated like punctured balloons and slumped to the side, crestfallen.
Just then, there was a knock at the door.
"That must be the original client!"
Felt hurried to open the door. A graceful woman in black appeared before them.
Although she wore a dark cloak, her fair skin and slender figure were faintly visible. Beneath her long black hair was a face that could only be described as dangerously beautiful.
The moment this woman appeared, Satou Kazuma's gaze was locked on her.
"Kazuma, you feel it too, right? This person is weird. She's giving off a bad aura."
Aqua said, turning to Kazuma, only to find him staring intently at the woman, practically drooling.
The woman was the buyer for the insignia. She introduced herself as Elsa. After a brief bidding war with Subaru, she chose to give up.
"My client did not provide me with additional funds. It can't be helped."
Elsa shook her head, then her gaze fell on Subaru.
"But I am curious, what do you plan to do with this insignia?"
"Find the owner and give it back!" Subaru said with a smile.
The moment he finished speaking, a terrifying killing intent, palpable to everyone, emanated from the woman named Elsa.
A flirtatious smile spread across her face.
"My, my. So you're an interested party, then."
Felt realized what was happening and immediately grabbed Subaru, pulling him back. That action saved his life.
Elsa threw off her cloak. The cold, gleaming blade in her hand sliced through the exact spot where Subaru had been standing.
"She's an enemy! An enemy!"
Satou Kazuma reacted instantly. This woman, Elsa, was an incredibly dangerous existence.
He hadn't even been able to see her move.
But Kazuma couldn't just watch his new companion get into danger. He had to do something.
He raised his hand and aimed it at Elsa.
"Steal!"
"Oh?"
A dagger appeared in Satou Kazuma's hand. It looked identical to the one in Elsa's.
What really baffled Kazuma, however, was where she had been hiding it. Her outfit was already showing a large amount of her pale skin, and the rest clung tightly to her body.
"Well, this is unexpected. It seems, little mister, that you are also one of 'heaven's blessed'."
In the instant Kazuma was distracted, Elsa appeared in front of him at a speed he couldn't possibly react to.
"This is getting me a little excited. I wonder... what temperature will the intestines of a blessed person like you be?"
In the next second, Elsa's blade had pierced through Satou Kazuma's body. Blood gushed out.
"Kazuma! Kazuma!"
He could faintly hear Aqua's voice, but it sounded farther and farther away. Satou Kazuma's vision began to blur.

He didn't know how much time had passed, but Satou Kazuma's vision cleared again.
He looked around and found himself in a familiar space.
It was the place where he and Aqua had first met. The goddess's exclusive domain.
"Right... I was killed by that Elsa. I can't believe my adventure ended so quickly."
Satou Kazuma gave a bitter smile and shook his head.
"Welcome to the afterlife."
At that moment, a white-haired goddess appeared before him. Compared to Aqua, this goddess seemed much gentler.
And more normal.
"I am the goddess Eris, here to guide you to your new path. Your life in that world has ended. You've worked hard."
The goddess, Eris, even spoke with a hint of sadness.
'What's going on? This goddess is completely different from that useless Aqua! And she actually seems sad for me!' Satou Kazuma marveled.
