"Are you sure you want to continue tangling with me?"
Wave opened his system interface to check the location of the Primordial Star Core fragment, then raised his head and looked at the middle-aged man.
The middle-aged man also glanced at his system panel.
His brows furrowed slightly.
"I will come to slay you later!"
Sensing something, he gave a cold snort and immediately turned into a streak of light, leaving the square.
A trace of disdain curled at the corner of Wave's mouth.
He did not pursue.
Instead, his gaze shifted toward the golden tree standing in the center of the square.
He slowly walked toward it.
But after taking only two steps, his body suddenly staggered.
Wave dropped to one knee.
"Cough!"
He opened his mouth and spat out a mouthful of blood.
Clutching his aching chest, Wave's expression darkened as he looked in the direction where the middle-aged man had left.
When he first encountered that man, they were clearly on the same level.
