The moment Aoshi came home, stumbling through the door, Eliss immediately called a doctor. After examining him, the doctor diagnosed multiple fractures and internal bleeding — but fortunately, nothing serious enough to require hospitalization.
«I already told you… I got hit by a car on my way back. How many times do you have to ask?» Aoshi snaps, lying flat on his futon.
«The doctor said those aren't the kind of injuries you get from being hit by a car… they're from a beating!» she retorts, staring at him with watery eyes that won't stop streaming, like a faucet that just won't stop dripping. «Tell me right now who did this to you!»
«Ugh… why do you keep pushing? If I told you no one did this, then no one did! That doctor must've messed up the diagnosis or something! If someone had beaten me up, why would I even hide it from you? I'd just tell you, wouldn't I?»
