Hey everyone! Thanks for diving into The Devil Fruit Gamer.
This is my first journey into novel writing, and honestly, combining the high-stakes world of One Piece with a System/Gamer power has been a long-time passion project of mine.
I know some of the early chapters—especially this current one—are focused heavily on Marineford. It's intense, tragic, and sometimes overwhelming, but that chaos is necessary for Leo to earn and understand his new powers. I promise that once we get past the initial setup (think of the first 10 chapters as a very long tutorial phase!), the story opens up dramatically.
If you feel like the pace is a little slow or too focused on existing lore in the beginning, please stick with it! The real fun—building a crew, exploring the Grand Line, and leveling up his summoned characters—starts right after Marineford.
