Chapter 249 - chapter 187 part 2

chapter 187 part 2

Before Poison Ivy could retort, yet another voice spoke.

"Damn you! Damned Batman!"

Mr. Freeze sat in the corner of his cell, his voice chillingly cold, "Batman! You took everything from me—my wife, my research, my life! If I ever get out, I'll make you experience the taste of being frozen solid, to feel the despair of absolute cold!"

Batman replied indifferently, "I look forward to it."

"Hahaha! Don't waste your breath on him; he's just a lunatic!"

Scarecrow, wearing his signature mask, let out a sinister laugh, "Batman! Do you think you can defeat fear? In front of me, you are merely a fragile mortal! Your heart is filled with terror, and I will show you the most terrifying illusions, making you collapse in fear! Do you dare to let me go? Do you dare?!"

Batman scanned each of their faces in turn, then slowly said, "I need a small favor from you all. As a reward, you can have two days of freedom."

The villains, who were just moments ago hurling insults, instantly fell silent. Poison Ivy blinked, "R-really?"

"Of course. However, you'll need to wear electric shock collars and bracelets. If you attempt to remove them, you'll be severely electrocuted. You know my principles, but trust me, don't try it. You've willingly chosen this, and your ideals don't conflict with mine."

Scarecrow excitedly thumped his cell bars, "Then hurry! Hurry and put them on me! Oh God! I can't wait to go out and spread terror!"

A hint of sternness flashed across Batman's composed face. "This time you go out, your target is singular. I will explain the details later. For now, I still need to find one more fellow."

The underground chamber was dimly lit and damp, permeated by a pungent, fishy odor.

At the far end of the underground room was a massive water tank.

Within the tank, a colossal figure was lazily gnawing on a bone.

It was Killer Croc!

A hybrid of man and crocodile!

Killer Croc sensed someone approaching and slowly raised his head. The moment he saw Batman, his eyes instantly blazed with fury.

Killer Croc violently slammed his head against the electrified bars, and a "sizzle" of electricity instantly filled the air. His body was wracked with spasms from the shock, but this did nothing to diminish his rage.

He swung his thick, powerful arms, continuously splashing water from the tank towards Batman.

Batman's figure was agile. With a few deft dodges, he avoided all the splashed water.

Batman stood in front of the water tank, his expression cold, and said to Killer Croc, "I need your help."

Hearing this, Killer Croc let out a low growl, "Hmph, what help can a damned Batman expect from me?!"

Batman said slowly and unhurriedly, "I can let you out for two days of freedom, provided you test one person's combat power according to my requirements."

Killer Croc heard this, and a hint of cunning flashed in his originally furious eyes. He burst into hearty laughter, "Hahaha, such a good deal! Fine, as long as I can get out, I'll do anything!"

Batman went to the asylum's equipment allocation room and personally selected and prepared the specialized electric shock collars and bracelets designed to control these villains.

To ensure foolproof execution, Batman also prepared electric shock ankle restraints. Specifically for Killer Croc, he even brought out a custom-made electric shock suit.

Each piece of equipment had undergone his repeated testing and inspection, ensuring its precise and flawless function.

Afterwards, Batman returned to the cells with this equipment.

He first approached Two-Face, saying with icy eyes, "Don't even think about any tricks." With that, he proceeded to place the electric shock collar, bracelet, and ankle restraints on Two-Face one by one.

Two-Face gritted his teeth, his eyes full of unwillingness, but under Batman's intimidation, he could only obediently cooperate.

Next was Riddler. As Batman fitted the equipment on him, Riddler was still muttering, "Hmph, do you think these can restrain me?" Batman paid no attention to his words, simply securing the equipment in place.

Poison Ivy watched Batman approach, a trace of fear in her eyes, but more so, hatred. As Batman fitted her with the equipment, her body trembled slightly, but she offered no resistance.

Finally, it was Killer Croc. When Batman appeared before him with the specially made electric shock suit, Killer Croc let out a furious roar, "What in hell is this thing?!"

Batman said coldly, "This is for you. If you dare to take it off, you'll instantly be incinerated by electricity."

Although Killer Croc was thoroughly unwilling, seeing Batman's resolute gaze, he could only submit.

Batman meticulously helped Killer Croc put on the electric shock suit, fastening each strap tightly.

With all preparations complete, a large truck slowly pulled up to the entrance of Arkham Asylum.

Batman led Two-Face, Riddler, Poison Ivy, and Mr. Freeze onto the truck, one after another.

Finally, Killer Croc, with a heavy stride, seated himself in the very back of the truck.

Batman then got into the Batmobile, driving ahead of the truck to escort it.

As they got closer and closer to Bruce Ren's apartment, the atmosphere inside the truck grew increasingly tense, as if the air itself was thick with the scent of gunpowder, and a major battle was about to erupt.

The night was over, and the clock silently pointed to midnight.

In the silent apartment corridor, a figure suddenly appeared, slouching and hunched.

Green hair, a smile playing on his lips—who else could it be but Joker?

He moved lightly and quietly to the door of his home, pulled out a lock pick from his pocket, and silently opened the door.

Entering the apartment, he tiptoed through the living room and arrived at the bedroom bedside.

Without warning, he violently yanked open the blankets, as if he was about to uncover a world-shattering secret.

Jane Ru was startled awake by this sudden action, her sleepy eyes filled with irritation. She shouted angrily, "Jack, have you gone crazy? You didn't come back all night, and as soon as you returned, you woke me up and ripped off my blankets!"

A twisted, signature smile hung on Joker's face, stretching his lips to his ears. He chuckled, "Hehehe, I was just checking if you'd hidden any men. Who knows, maybe a muscular hunk is hiding in there, whispering sweet nothings with you, meow~"

Jane Ru heard this and became incandescent with rage. She snatched the nearby pillow and furiously pummeled Joker.

Joker dodged left and right, leaping from one side to the other, all the while cackling, "Ouch ouch! The tigress is acting up!"

Finally, he stumbled out of the room, slamming the door shut with a "bang," narrowly avoiding being struck by the pillow.

"Get out! And don't come back if you leave!"

Jack leaned against the door, clutching his chest and gasping for breath, muttering, "Women are truly terrifying. Even more frightening than that damned Batman."

But no sooner had his words faded than faint footsteps echoed down the corridor.

Joker warily perked up his ears, his eyes wide and round, staring intently down the hallway.

Scarecrow slowly ascended the stairs. His tattered, straw-like attire fluttered slightly in the breeze, making his signature appearance seem exceptionally sinister in the dim corridor.
