Chapter 97 - Chapter 95: Let Me Pull It

Chapter 95: Let Me Pull It

After a night's rest, Thor felt like he had come back to life.

The last time he felt this way was the hangover from his five-hundredth birthday.

He walked out of the bedroom and into the living room.

He immediately saw Stephen Fang, his partner who had provided him with a place to live and food to fill his stomach, sitting on the sofa and studying a black feather.

Thor was a bit confused. "Why are you always looking at this feather? Is there something magical about it?"

Stephen Fang didn't explain, simply tossed the feather to him.

Thor squatted down and managed to retrieve the feather with some difficulty. He felt its heavy weight. "Doesn't seem special at all?"

"Just looking at it like this, it's indeed not strange."

Stephen Fang stood up.

The next second!

His wings fully unfurled!

Seeing wings sprout from a human's body, Thor was so shocked he took half a step back. "You're not human?"

"Of course I'm human." Stephen Fang retracted his wings. "Compared to this, someone who can throw a hammer and use its power to fly is much stranger, don't you think?"

"How do you know so much about me? Who exactly are you?"

"I told you, I only want Asgardian magic. Nothing else matters. But first..."

Stephen Fang looked downstairs at Black Widow, who already had the car ready. "Shouldn't we go take a look at the hammer first?"

Many "idle people" had recently come to New Mexico.

Last week, a hammer fell from the sky and crashed into the New Mexico wilderness. After the first busybody went up and tried to pull it out, many idle people from all over the country flocked here, just to see if they could lift the hammer.

During this time, it wasn't as if no one had tried using cars, or even excavators and cranes, to move the hammer.

But they all ended in failure.

When Black Widow drove Stephen Fang and Thor, the God of Thunder, to the edge of the crater, Thor stared dumbfounded at the long, dense line of people inching forward.

Deep down, he felt something, but he didn't really want to face it.

What was this?

Was this like Thor working hard all day, coming home, and finding a line of people queuing from the elevator to get into his house? Then he runs inside only to find that in his bedroom, his beloved "Miss Hammer" is doing the splits, welcoming guests who have come from all corners of the world?

Thor was furious!

He forcefully opened the car door, jumped out, and charged toward the most crowded area!

However, when he pushed into the crowd and saw that the center of their attention was actually a stall selling Mexican burritos, he was stunned on the spot.

Because, looking further along this long queue, there were even more people lining up.

This was ridiculous.

Stephen Fang and Black Widow caught up. Seeing Thor's devastated look, Stephen Fang laughed.

"What? You want a chicken wrap too? If you want one, go get in line."

"Yeah, exactly!" A few burly white guys nearby were cursing while rolling up their sleeves. They were clearly strongmen who wanted to pull the hammer, but got tired of waiting in line and came over for a burrito.

"Get lost, kid! Look at your build, you think you can lift that hammer!? Go run home to mommy!"

"You!"

Thor gritted his teeth in anger. But he had been beaten up too many times recently and knew he couldn't beat many people in his current state. He could only vent his anger on the ground, stomping his feet hard.

Black Widow leaned close to Stephen Fang's ear. "Are you sure he's fifteen hundred years old? I feel like his mental age is eighteen at most."

"Thirteen would be generous. A god who can hang out with the Guardians of the Galaxy... his level of immaturity is beyond your imagination."

While the two were bantering, Thor had already followed the main line of people and walked ahead.

It seemed he planned to throw his public decency to the wind and cut in line to pull the hammer.

Following Thor forward, Stephen Fang couldn't hold back and started complaining in the "Chat Group."

Uchiha Ren: "A qualified dark humor joke. As expected of me."

Pirate Ren Arakawa: "Tell me more. I love hearing it."

After walking for about twenty minutes, the three of them finally reached the front of the line.

When he truly saw his hammer being "humiliated" by so many people, Thor could no longer contain his inner rage and roared as he charged toward it!

"Hey, hey! Stop him!"

There were self-appointed security personnel maintaining order for the hammer-pulling activity. Seeing Thor acting up, a group of them moved forward to block him.

"Get out of my way!!!!"

Thor angrily pushed at the crowd, only to be shoved by several burly men twice his size, making him fall flat on his face.

"Go get in line! What are you, crazy?!"

Thor glared at the burly man in front of him. "That's my hammer! That's my hammer!"

"Hahaha, your hammer? If this is your hammer, then I'm the All-Father!"

"You dare insult me! Mortal, you will pay the price for your words!"

The burly man raised his fist, ready to smash it into Thor. "I can make you pay the price right now!"

*Pak!*

The expected scene of Thor being sent flying by a punch did not happen.

A black-haired young man, looking much thinner than everyone else, appeared in front of Thor. He casually raised his arm and gripped the burly man's fist.

"And who are you? Is this your hammer, too?"

"Sorry, just cutting in line." Stephen Fang forced a smile. "We're in a hurry, the Mission is important, it won't take more than a few minutes."

"Screw off!"

The burly man cursed and tried to exert force, only to find his fist was clamped as if in a vice, unable to move at all!

"Do me a favor. We'll pull it and leave."

Before the burly man could speak, a few of the organizers became displeased. "Even if you waited in line, we wouldn't let you touch this hammer! Get lost!"

"Heh heh..."

Since things had come to this, Stephen Fang no longer hesitated. He raised his hand, exerted his strength, and directly threw the burly man away!

The terrifying strength stunned everyone. Many people took out their phones and started recording!

That was a strongman who weighed over three hundred pounds!

He was thrown with just one hand!!

Everyone silently backed away.

This was the good thing about strength enthusiasts: whoever was stronger had the final say. The people who had just been angrily denouncing them for cutting in line were now looking at Stephen Fang with faces full of expectation.

To see if this young man with innate divine strength could pull up the hammer.

And only now did Thor realize.

Without Stephen Fang, he wouldn't even be able to touch the handle of his hammer.

The path ahead was cleared, leaving an open space in front of Stephen Fang, Thor, and Black Widow.

Seeing the hammer he had been yearning for, Thor strode forward...

But Stephen Fang placed his hand on the hammer a step ahead of him.

What guy hasn't dreamed of lifting Thor's hammer?

Stephen Fang exerted a little force.

As expected, the hammer didn't budge an inch.

Thor snorted, snatched the spot, and winked at Stephen Fang. "Watch this!"

With that, he tried to pull with all his might.

His face turned red from the effort, but the hammer didn't react at all.

Stephen Fang laughed and quipped, "After being manhandled by so many people, it's already been worn out. Even seeing its husband, it's as responsive as a pool of stagnant water."
