Chapter 4 - Chapter 4

08:11 cycle seven, Ba'seth, of calendar Moonrachia

It's early in the morning... not really, but for Kaleth it is...

I had already been inside the Arnentiasis, sitting across from the principal of this school. Honestly, I don't think I could describe him correctly.

Noah, A man in his late 50s with a fit body, like a model, let his hair fall without styling it, smiling gently with a calming voice.

"Kaleth, are you sure you're going to work as an assistant teacher?" he said, and just stared at me with his gentle manner, without even seeing Rheya's recommendation letter, not even a glance.

"With your potential, you could easily achieve something greater, like becoming a researcher or doing an experiment and such?"

That's exactly what Kaleth thinks, before it takes over his body...

"Sir Noah, I... honestly think so too, but I think having experience of becoming an assistant would help me understand my own thoughts."

"Because I think becoming a researcher requires knowing how to explain things more easily to others." I really want to be smug, with Aronn's memory, licking to his superior, I could easily win this off right?

His eyes were slightly wide open.

"That's so mature of you, honestly, it's shocked me a bit," and then he smiled a bit.

"Alright, you are accepted as an assistant teacher," he leaned a bit and looked at the archive of teachers.

"You might probably want to be Rheya's assistant, right, cause I know you both are pretty close, but sadly, you can't since she already has one..." With a little sigh, he said that.

Honestly? I don't want to, God knows how many secrets I had would be dug up by her?

She might even realize I'm not the same Kaleth she knew...

"Teacher... in Magictology study huh..." While tapping the table with his finger in a rhythm.

"There is one who really needed an assistant, but she doesn't teach Magictology, you might need to catch a lot, though."

Am I hallucinating, or do I feel he is trying to scheme something...

"Honestly, I'm fine with anyone-" He cut me off before I could even finish my word.

"Perfect," He said, and standing, picked up some archives around the cabinet.

"Millenia, a teacher of History Major," and then putting a slim book in my hand.

"That's her information you needed to know. Come back again tomorrow for work, then." He forcefully pushed me out of his office...

"It's the second time I was kicked out... in this school..." It's like I wasn't welcomed here...

Lunch time, but I don't really care much.

Currently I'm inside Arnentiasis library, the library is pretty much deserted, I mean, who even goes to the library at this time after sitting their ass off for a few hours studying?

"But there is sure always an anomaly no matter which world we live in..." as I whisper to myself, seeing there are actually few student reading or even learning instead of eating their lunch...

Sighning

Instead of commenting on others, I should've focused more on studying.

There are a few history-related books, but why did I even read this? Of course, I didn't need to learn every single history class material, but what's wrong with learning a few things?

"If I want to live normally, I should work diligently and professionally."

It seems I've become much more mature after combining both Aronn and Kaleth's memories, which, if I totaled, I should be around 40 years old, but that doesn't mean I'm old.

Let's see...

The most basic history is something everybody knows.

The world is separated into 7 continents. The'ireth, or more commonly known as The main continent, is filled with a lot of different races, such as human, elf, mermaid, etc It is named as the main continent because of how big it is compared to the other 6.

But doesn't mean it was livable, or a lot of population, rather it's much more dangerous, why? The bigger the land, the more its danger, the more resources it has, the harder it is to get them.

It's basically if Australia and Amazon merged, and then slapped some magic on it.

The second biggest continent is solely a human continent, The'nareth, it's filled with the kingdoms that have existed for a long time, such as Arnentian, Ze'riath, Elionth, and others.

Let's say this continent is much more like a combination of the Medieval era and the Industrial Revolution. Honestly, it's not that 'Industrial' yet, but you could see a steam machine here and there, though.

Combining both of those eras is strange enough, I couldn't even imagine it, with Aron's memory alone, but seeing it with my own eyes, somehow, it's a real thing.

A loud hum could be heard across the entire school, a sign of lunch time and a short time to prepare for the class.

"I probably should leave. I can't let someone who knew Kaleth see me."

Standing up, I realized that I couldn't borrow the book that I'd picked, given that it seemed the principal had forgotten to give me my Assistant ID.

With a heavy sigh, I had no choice but to put them back on.

Walking around the library to return the book that I've borrowed.

The Basic of History, "It should be around that corner..."

When I turned around the corner, I was bumped by someone.

My book and her were fell apart to the ground.

"Ah, sorry, sorry," I said while picking up the book that had fallen, and seeing the book she dropped.

The Advanced Magic Theory

History of Magic

Philosophy of Magic

Magictology student, huh.

After I helped her.

"I-I'm s-sorry... I should've been careful," she said while looking down.

"It's fine, I too should be more careful when turning around the corner."

Seeing the badge she was wearing.

Saya vor Telia, class 5

A noble, huh...

"I should leave now," and walked past her.

A Telia family, huh, weren't they known for their swordsmanship?

Whatever, not my problem, anyway, I should put the rest of this book.

It's early in the morning, even for Aronn, who even wakes up at 6 in the morning?

But here I am, already in front of the Arnentiasis, sitting on the bench near the gate.

"I mean, I can't be late on my first day of work," while eating some sandwiches.

The world is showered by a warm golden light, though the air is still pretty cold, even I could see my own breath turn into a fog.

The time passed faster than I expected, the guard were finished their shift, and then I saw Rheya opening the gate.

But instead of entering, she just stood there and stared at me...

A minute passed...

Another minute passed...

And another minute passed...

I could see her eyes twitching from over here, it seems I won't live for long...

Then I walk toward her, "Umm, good morning..."

"It seems that head of yours needs a little beating, huh?" she asks.

"Uhh, no ma'am," as I bow my head slightly.

She caressed her forehead and sighed...

Honestly, did I even do something wrong? How come I know if she called me over if she didn't even say it?

She hit me gently with her fist, it's the same gesture that Kaleth was getting used to when making mistakes, she would do it...

Honestly, is it wrong for me to smile right now? Like this...

I might be Kaleth, or might not be... who cares? This is my life now.

After entering the school hallway with her.

"I heard you've become Millenia's assistant. Well, you might never have entered her class, but..." Then she turned around and looked at me

"She's a pretty stubborn person, she doesn't talk much, and I think you will get a hard time," she sighed and turned away again, while we kept walking toward the teacher's office.

"I mean, she won't be 'quiet' right, I mean, she's a teacher, no?"

"Whatever, you would know it today anyway, why bother explaining it?"

"Alright.."

The moment we entered the office, there were others who had arrived before us.

The principal, or should I say Sir Noah

I was forgetting that he was a halo level magician... so he appears and disappears out of nowhere is pretty much a normal thing...

A halo level is basically the highest level someone could achieve, a swordman in halo level could easily cut the continent, while a halo level magician could flatten the continent in seconds...

Basically, a continental level weapon.

"Good morning, both of you," he said with a warm smile.

"Mornin'," Rheya said

"Good morning, principal," I said while bowing my head slightly.

Despite how dangerous his ability is, he seems like a chill guy, seeing that he is pouring tea for himself.

Walking to the Millenia desk, looking at the condition of her table, it seems she hasn't arrived yet, which makes sense enough given her class starts at 09:00...

Now I don't have much of anything to do, except waiting for her, hearing how bustling the hallway is, I take back my idea of going into the library... who knows whose I'm going to meet to...

After a few minutes had passed, Rheya was taking something from the cabinet, either for her class or something else.

"Don't do something stupid here while waiting, just be obedient for once," she said while giving me a sharp look, and then she was gone.

"What do you even think I am? A kid?" and let out a heavy sigh

Noah seemed pleased by our banter, as he tried to suppress his smile.

"What a nice relationship, you had." A loud hum could then be heard.

A sign that the class has just started.

While I kept my ass, sitting around the empty seat on the corner, Noah sat down in his chair.

"Care for a tea?" while holding his cup slightly higher.

"Thank you for the offer, but I'll pass this time."

"Alright then," with just that, he somewhat disappeared.

Teleportation magic sure is useful...

While waiting for Millenia, I'm reading the last archive Noah gave to me, the archive is focused on Millenia's information, it's not like private information, but more like a CV...

Millenia is part of nobles, the Lilac family, a family renowned by its blood for giving birth to a genius, which has almost one genius every generation of its family...

Last graduated as an expert magician of the magic tower... and still 26 years old... yeah, genius, period.

So she's the current genius of the Lilac family, huh... but she's female... damn, it would be hard for whoever is trying to win her heart, I mean, if I were the head of the family, I won't let her marry some bum, who can't reach expert in a few years too.

Without realizing it, a few hours have passed, while I'm reading her CV, I think I know why she doesn't talk much, I mean, at that level of geniuses, I too wouldn't talk to others, unless they were at the same level of intelligence.

The quiet door of the office room was opened slowly, and the fresh air was flowing into the room full of nothing but archives, even the air felt like it too.

She's arrived, with really long blue hair that reaches her waist, an emotionless face, and deep emerald eyes. She isn't that tall, like around 155cm.

"Kaleth, am I right?" Her voice was calm, like it was already calculated before saying it out loud.

"Yes, ma'am."

"Your magic circuit is eroded," she said, like that was the most normal thing that happened.

"H..uh?"
