At night, when everyone else was asleep, Ryūga once again entered the system space.
This is the time for him to diligently acquire knowledge.
When Teacher Harun saw that Ryūga had arrived, he immediately began his lesson.
"Ryūga-kun, I gave you a brief description of the cooking utensils used in different countries before. Now, I will give you a systematic explanation, starting with Chinese cuisine!"
"Among the cuisines of various countries, Chinese cuisine is unique in its rich variety. Therefore, among all the cuisines of the world, China has produced the diverse range of cooking utensils!"
"Many cooking utensils have disappeared in the course of history, but we should not underestimate their value because of that!"
"To become the best chef, you must master a great deal of knowledge that others cannot!"
"So today's lesson will begin with the most basic cooking utensils used in Chinese cuisine!"
With a wave of his hand, Teacher Harun conjured up a variety of strangely shaped, historically significant tool images in front of Ryūga.
Harun pointed to the pictures and introduced them to Ryūga one by one.
"This is a ding... an ancient Chinese cooking vessel used for cooking food. It's cast in bronze, and its length and thickness are..."
"This is a cauldron, an ancient large bronze vessel used for cooking livestock... It has three legs that are raised off the ground, allowing for a fire to be lit underneath... The two handles are raised by hinges and levers..."
"This is a zeng... an ancient earthenware vessel used for steaming grains or meat... it..."
Teacher Harun introduced Ryūga to many cooking utensils that Ryūga had never even heard of before. He also patiently explained the structure and uses of these utensils, as well as their advantages and disadvantages during use.
Starting with the ding, and continuing to the yan , li , fu ...
So many cooking utensils, long forgotten, are being unveiled one by one before Ryūga's eyes, revealing their mysteries...
Eight hours later, Teacher Harun finally finished today's lesson.
Just as he was about to leave, Ryūga called out to him.
"Professor Harlen, um, there's something I'd like to ask you!"
"Oh? Is there anything else you need to ask, Ryūga-san?"
"Teacher Harun, haven't I been focusing on theoretical courses these past few days? I'd like to hone my practical cooking skills at the same time... Could you give me some good guidance or advice on this?"
"Does Ryūga want to improve his practical cooking skills? There is a way, but you'll have to practice in your spare time."
Mr. Harun thought for a moment and continued:
"My courses mainly focus on cooking utensils. Correspondingly, my expertise lies in the skillful use of cooking utensils, so I can teach you some practical techniques in this area!"
With a wave of his hand, Teacher Harun quickly created a simple cooking station in front of Ryūga.
Teacher Harun picked up the wok from the cooking counter and then said to Ryūga:
"To be able to handle any dish with ease in the kitchen, a chef must master the basic cooking skills!"
"To master superb cooking skills, you must have a solid foundation in cooking fundamentals. There are no shortcuts to mastering these skills; diligence can make up for lack of talent. The more sweat you put in, the more fruit you will reap!"
"I suggest that Ryūga start by practicing simple wok tossing techniques!"
"Next, I will demonstrate the correct way to toss the wok and some very practical tips that can be used in the process. You should remember them carefully, learn them diligently, and practice them frequently outside of class."
Teacher Harun's pot was full of sand, but no matter how hard he tossed the pot or how high he tossed the sand, not a single grain of sand spilled out.
"The main purpose of the tossing technique is to ensure that all sides of the ingredients are heated evenly when stir-frying various ingredients over high heat, so that they are not burned. It can also speed up the cooking process and enhance the flavor absorption of the ingredients."
"To master flipping a wok, you need to develop muscle memory in your body!"
"At the same time, while honing your wok-flipping skills, your arm strength, arm control, and overall explosive power will all be greatly improved."
"Furthermore, tossing the wok is not just about simple stir-frying; it can also evolve into techniques such as swirling the wok and adjusting the heat..."
Teacher Harun demonstrated his wok-flipping skills, and Ryūga had to admit that Teacher Harun's wok-flipping posture was the most graceful he had ever seen.
Each grain of sand, as it dances in mid-air, seems to sparkle like tiny crystals.
Furthermore, Ryūga noticed that every time Teacher Harun flipped the pan, the top and bottom layers of sand switched perfectly...
After the demonstration, Mr. Harun said to Ryūga:
"Based on my demonstration, practice tossing the wok a thousand times every day, starting with a weight of one kilogram of sand in the wok... When you can control a weight of more than five kilograms at will, I will teach you the next training method."
After giving Ryūga a few simple instructions, Teacher Harun disappeared.
Ryūga also woke up from his dream.
