Chapter 70 - Chapter 69: Sentinel Robot Duo

They had no idea that everything happening was simply standard operating procedure for the Time Variance Authority.

After capturing Bolivar Trask, the Time Squad immediately jumped to their next target—William Stryker.

For the TVA, time and space were meaningless barriers.

They could travel across timelines freely, and teleportation was instantaneous.

Stryker, still just a Captain at this point but already a technical specialist, was in the middle of a laboratory experiment when the Timekeepers silently burst in.

Alarms blared.

Heavily armed soldiers swarmed the lab, raising their rifles and opening fire without hesitation.

Bang bang bang!

Boom boom boom!

Beakers and equipment exploded into shards, and the terrified researchers screamed as they scrambled to escape.

But the Timekeepers stood calmly behind a transparent energy barrier.

The storm of bullets hit the barrier without leaving so much as a ripple.

"Let's go, Comrade Stryker. You're under arrest," the Squad Leader said, walking up to him as if taking a casual stroll.

"F**k you! Who are you?! Which department? How dare you arrest an officer without proof?!" Stryker shouted furiously.

The Squad Leader didn't even bother responding.

Bam!

He sent Stryker flying with a fist.

"F*cking annoying. Take him away!" he spat, kicking Stryker once more for good measure.

"Yes, Captain!"

His subordinates rushed forward, slapped the shame collar around Stryker's neck, and dragged him through a portal.

The soldiers left behind could only stare in shock, as if they'd just seen ghosts.

And so, the unlucky trio—Logan, Bolivar Trask, and William Stryker—were all captured and brought to the TVA for processing.

The Squad Leader, Roger, escorted them before the Chief Justice.

"Hm? Roger, what's this? Why did you bring Wolverine too?" the Chief Justice asked, surprised.

Roger chuckled shamelessly. "Hehe, Your Honor, I think this guy would make a damn good Timekeeper. So, I brought him along."

The Chief Justice nodded with casual indifference. "Fine. If he's captured, he's captured."

Bolivar and Stryker were pale with fear.

One glance around was enough to tell them they were in a place where the rules were written by gods.

They watched a defiant prisoner get casually "reset" into a flash of light—erased from existence.

Wolverine was calmer. He'd lived too long, seen too much.

He didn't like this situation, but he didn't panic either.

The Chief Justice didn't bother with questioning. She simply passed judgment.

"Logan, you have traveled through time, altering established history. This court sentences you to serve the Time Variance Authority for life."

"Bolivar Trask, time criminal who deviated from the sacred timeline—death."

"William Stryker, time criminal who escaped death—death."

"Take them away."

It was nothing but a performance—an illusion of justice.

"No! I refuse! I want to appeal!"

"Yeah! I demand a retrial!"

Bolivar and Stryker shouted in defiance.

The Chief Justice didn't even blink. "Appeal? Pathetic."

"Take them away."

Bang!

Stryker barely finished shouting before a Timekeeper drove an elbow into his ribs, knocking the wind out of him.

"Refuse? I'll beat you to death," the guard growled.

Bolivar shrank back. If he was going to die anyway, there was no point adding a beating on top of it.

Logan, on the other hand, remained unruffled.

A new "job" at the TVA? At least it would be something different from his long, boring life.

The three were separated.

The TVA wiped Bolivar's and Stryker's memories clean and implanted new ones.

Their fake past now included everything needed—especially the Sentinel robot technology from the year 2023.

The TVA didn't need them to win.

They just needed them to delay Leo.

"Your Honor, memory implantation complete. Bolivar and Stryker are ready," a Timekeeper reported.

"Good," the Chief Justice said with a faint smile.

"Send them to Leo's universe. Let's see how much trouble they can stir."

"Yes, Your Honor."

The Time Squad set out again, teleporting the two sleeping men into Leo's world.

"Hehe, let them wake up with all their hatred intact," Roger said with a grin.

"Sentinel robots are too powerful. Let them play. As long as they're Mutants, they'll be detected."

His laughter echoed as they disappeared through a portal.

Bolivar and Stryker slowly woke up, confused at first, then—clarity.

"Mutants lurk in the shadows," Bolivar muttered, his expression hardening.

"They endanger humanity. We must eliminate them."

Stryker's eyes burned with rage. "Yes, Teacher. Mutants killed my wife. I'll wipe them out."

Their hatred aligned perfectly.

No one knew where they went after that.

But their new plan was already in motion.

Leo didn't know it yet, but someone was targeting him again.

And even if he did—he'd simply meet force with force.
