"That's right." Ron snapped his fingers, and a translucent system interface unfolded between them, which was the system Ron had prepared for Luffy. He explained, "I am a Devil Fruit user with the System-System Fruit. From now on, you will also have your own system."
Luffy's jaw nearly dropped to the ground, his rubbery eyes comically bulging. "Woah! That's amazing! What kind of ability is that? Can one person have two Devil Fruit abilities? Brother Sabo said that if a person eats two Fruits, they will explode!"
"Don't worry." Ron reached out and pushed Luffy's jaw back into place. "This is a characteristic of my ability; I'm just temporarily lending it to you to use." He pulled up the system records. "Look, Sabo's is the Pay-to-Win System, Ace's is the Daily Check-in System…"
Luffy's eyes instantly sparkled like stars, and his rubbery arm suddenly stretched out to wrap around Ron. "What about mine? What about mine? I want a system too!"
"Calm down." Ron was a little breathless from the squeeze. "I've already prepared it for you—the God-tier Choice System!"
As his words fell, a golden light entered Luffy's brow. Luffy immediately let go of Ron, touching his forehead. "Huh? It feels warm…"
[Ding! God-tier Choice System successfully bound!]
[Host: Monkey D. Luffy]
[System Feature: Rewards can be obtained every time an important choice is made]
[Current selectable task: Do you want to set sail immediately?]
1. Set sail immediately, Reward: 100 kg of grilled Sea King meat
2. Train for another two and a half years, Reward: Observation Haki initial awakening!
3. Go to the tavern to say goodbye first, Reward: One special rubber dinghy!
Several translucent option boxes suddenly popped up in front of Luffy, startling him. "Woah! What is this? So amazing!"
Ron patiently explained, "You see, if you choose 'set sail immediately,' you will receive a reward. And…" He winked mysteriously, "The rewards will include all sorts of delicious food and meat."
"Meat?!" Luffy's saliva instantly drooled to the ground, his rubbery tongue wiggling like a wave. "I want to choose to set sail immediately! Only cowards need to train for two and a half years!"
He eagerly reached out and tapped the "set sail immediately" option.
[Choice successful! Reward: 100 kg of grilled Sea King meat!]
Following the system prompt, ten huge grilling racks appeared out of thin air on the dinghy, and the aroma instantly filled the entire dock. Luffy's eyes directly turned into the shape of meat, and his rubbery arms swirled towards the grilled meat like a whirlwind. "Meat! It's meat! This is great!"
Ron watched Luffy devour the food. He walked to the dinghy and gently patted the hull. "Luffy, it's time to depart."
The vast blue sea sparkled. Ron stood at the stern, gazing at the gradually disappearing outline of Dawn Island, a meaningful smile appearing at the corner of his mouth. He turned to look at Luffy, who was excitedly looking around on the deck, the rubbery boy stretching his arm to reach for a passing seagull.
"Brother Ron! Look, I can catch it!" Luffy's arm stretched longer and longer like a rubber band.
"Stop messing around, sit down." Ron lightly patted Luffy's Straw Hat. "In a few days, we'll reach Shells Town. You'd best conserve your energy."
Just three days after they set sail, a dog-headed warship aggressively sailed into Dawn Island port. Vice Admiral Garp's face was ashen, and his fists clenched, cracking.
"That brat Luffy dares to sneak off and become a pirate?!" His roar made the barrels on the dock tremble. "And that brat Ron, he's going along with this nonsense too!"
Makino hurriedly stepped forward to explain, "Mr. Garp, Ron deliberately went to sea with Luffy. He said…"
"Said what?" Garp's eyes widened.
"He said he would watch over Luffy and not let him cause big trouble," Makino softly added. "And Ron left the nautical chart, saying that if you're worried, you can go find them anytime."
Upon hearing this, Garp's furious expression suddenly froze. He rubbed the bristly stubble on his chin, lost in thought. "That brat Ron… he's quite considerate."
Images of Ron from childhood to adulthood flashed in his mind—the boy who always quietly stood behind Ace and Luffy but could always come up with perfect solutions at critical moments.
He remembered one time Luffy almost fell off a cliff, and it was Ron who had tied the rope in advance; and when Ace was injured in a fight, it was also Ron who had prepared an emergency first-aid kit.
"Hmph!" Garp suddenly burst into laughter, slamming his fist into his palm. "With Ron following him, this old man can rest easy!" He turned and shouted to his subordinate, "Return to base! No need to chase them!"
The subordinate's mouth dropped open in surprise. "But Vice Admiral, Luffy, he…"
"With Ron there, that brat won't be able to turn the world upside down!" Garp waved his hand, a cunning light in his eyes. "And…" He lowered his voice, "It's a good opportunity to let Ron discipline that disobedient grandson."
At this moment, on the sea, Ron seemed to sense something and looked towards Dawn Island. He knew Garp's temper too well; calculating the time, the old man should have already discovered their departure.
"Brother Ron! Look! Dolphins!" Luffy shouted excitedly, leaning over the ship's railing.
Ron reined in his thoughts and walked to Luffy's side. Looking at Luffy's smiling face, he secretly planned his next move: first, recruit Zoro in Shells Town, and then systematically assemble the Straw Hat crew.
With the system, speeding through the Grand Line won't be a problem!
"Luffy," Ron suddenly said, "Remember, after you meet your first crewmate, you must follow my instructions."
"Got it!" Luffy replied without looking back, his whole body almost leaning out over the railing. "Wow! The dolphins are jumping so high!"
Ron shook his head. He took out his nautical logbook and carefully marked the route. He had deliberately left a copy of this logbook in Dawn Island, just in case Garp came looking for them.
…
After two days of sailing, the outline of Shells Town finally appeared on the horizon.
Ron stood at the bow, the sea breeze ruffling the fringe on his forehead, a glint in his eyes. He turned and shouted to Luffy, who was playing with the passing seabirds, "Luffy, prepare to dock. Remember what I told you; no matter what you see later, wait for my signal before acting."
"Got it!" Luffy replied in a drawn-out voice, but his rubbery arm was already eagerly reaching for a wooden post on the dock. "I want to be the first one ashore!"
Ron shook his head helplessly, skillfully maneuvering the small boat to the shore.
As soon as he stepped onto solid ground, he led Luffy straight to the tavern he remembered. Pushing open the creaking wooden door, they were greeted by the strong scent of alcohol and a tense atmosphere.
Inside the tavern, the green-haired swordsman was surrounded by a group of Marines.
Zoro's three swords were already unsheathed, his gaze as sharp as a blade. At his feet, Helmeppo's wolf-zoan subordinate lay in a pool of blood, and the blond young master was screaming hysterically, "Kill him! I want this pirate hunter torn to shreds!"
