Chapter 31 - Arrival at the Rain Country Battlefield

After dealing with the Sunagakure Ninja, Takeshi wrote another scroll, detailing the Third Kazekage's infiltration into the Land of Fire for a surprise attack.

Although he had already repelled him, there was no guarantee that the guy wouldn't suddenly return.

To be on the safe side, reporting to the higher-ups would be more secure.

Plus, he could also earn a military merit, so why not?

As for why he didn't report to Hiruzen Sarutobi?

On one hand, it was troublesome. Both he and Tsunade were contractors of Shikkotsu Forest, and using summoning jutsu to transmit messages would be faster and more convenient.

On the other hand, it was because he always felt that the old man seemed very displeased with him lately. Since the other person wasn't happy to see him, there was no need for him to try and curry favor.

After summoning a slug from Shikkotsu Forest and delivering the message, Takeshi went to Kushina's side.

Thanks to her Uzumaki bloodline and the body potential enhancement from the acupoint opening that Takeshi had performed on her earlier,

her injuries recovered very quickly, and she returned to her energetic state, ready to retort to him as before.

This proved that Takeshi's bloodline purity method was still effective, and he needed to work even harder in the future.

After confirming that Kushina was truly fine, Takeshi took her back to where the Uchiha had camped last night.

"Kushina, where did you run off to? Do you know how worried I was about you?"

As soon as they returned, Mikoto rushed forward and hugged Kushina.

"I'm sorry, Sister Mikoto, I made you worry."

Kushina hung her head like a child who had made a mistake, standing there obediently, listening to Mikoto's scolding.

"Did you two go on a date?"

Minato came to Takeshi's side at this moment and poked his shoulder with his elbow.

"A date, my ass!"

Takeshi slapped him on the back of his head.

This guy was indeed still very cheeky.

After the pleasantries, the team once again set off towards the Land of Rain battlefield.

Of course, Kushina also followed along. Takeshi no longer planned to send her back; it was indeed a bit pitiful for the little girl to stay in the Village alone.

Moreover, as he had said before, Takeshi would no longer excessively interfere with Kushina's choices.

Since she wanted to come, Takeshi would take her along. As for safety, as long as he was there, Kushina would not be harmed.

There were no more attacks on the way, and the team spent another day and a half successfully reaching the Land of Rain battlefield.

"Kushina, how do you feel? Is there anything still bothering you? Do you want me to heal you?"

As soon as Tsunade saw Takeshi and the others, she immediately went forward to check on Kushina.

This was because when Takeshi had transmitted the message about the Hidden Sand Village's surprise attack, he had also included the incident of Kushina's injury and danger, which was why Tsunade was so worried about her.

"Sister Tsunade, I'm already fine."

Kushina felt guilty, realizing that her recklessness had caused so many people to worry about her.

"It's good that you're fine."

Tsunade breathed a sigh of relief, then looked at Takeshi beside her:

"Kid, our Kushina is very grateful for your care."

When Tsunade learned that Kushina had almost been captured by Sunagakure, she was nearly scared to death.

If Jiraiya and Orochimaru hadn't stopped her, she would have intended to go directly from this front line battlefield to the Hidden Sand Village.

Fortunately, Takeshi later said that the problem had been resolved, which calmed her down, but she still felt worried.

After all, through their years of interaction, she had long considered Kushina family.

"It was no trouble at all. As Kushina's friend, of course I couldn't just watch her be in danger."

Takeshi waved his hand, "By the way, regarding this surprise attack by the Hidden Sand Village, what is Konoha planning to do?"

"Don't worry, I've already reported this matter to the old man. I believe there will be a result very soon."

Tsunade clenched her fists and said, "It's about time to teach these disobedient Sunagakure a lesson!"

Although she said that, Takeshi thought Konoha probably wouldn't send troops.

After all, given Hiruzen Sarutobi's indecisive nature, he would always seek peace rather than fight if possible.

He was submissive to outsiders but ruthless to insiders.

Like in the original story, during the Kumogakure kidnapping of Hinata, it was clearly their fault, and the Kumogakure Ninja should have been held accountable.

But Hiruzen Sarutobi, fearing that the hard-won peace would be broken again, directly turned and pointed the finger at the Village.

He forced the Hyuga Clan to hand over the person who rescued Hinata from Kumogakure to the other party.

Ultimately, the Hyuga Clan had to offer Hizashi Hyuga's body as a substitute for Hiashi Hyuga to Kumogakure.

This also caused a rift between the Hyuga Clan and the Village, and Neji, having lost his father, developed animosity towards the main family and Hinata.

It can only be said that when it came to stirring up internal conflicts within the Village, Hiruzen Sarutobi was definitely a professional.

So Takeshi didn't hold out much hope for this.

Next, Tsunade led Takeshi and the others to the back of the Konoha camp.

As for the Uchiha reinforcements, they temporarily took over Tsunade's work.

Currently, the battle in the Land of Rain was in a stalemate. Hanzō was truly cunning, often sending people to ambush Konoha's logistics and transport units.

In addition, Hanzō's summoning beast, the salamander, could release a wide range of poisonous mist, which caused Konoha's Ninja to fall into a bitter struggle, leaving many poisoned.

This made Tsunade, being a medical Ninja, extremely busy preparing antidotes, working tirelessly.

"Ah, you can move around freely, as long as you don't leave this camp. This old lady needs to rest."

As soon as they arrived at the camp, Tsunade collapsed directly onto the large bed.

The current Tsunade had transformed from her previous flat chest to a curvaceous figure.

The moment she lay down, her snowy peaks trembled, creating a powerful visual impact.

"Where are you looking?"

Kushina huffed and walked forward, hands on her hips, blocking Takeshi's view.

"Uh, well, let's go find Nawaki."

Takeshi lightly coughed, his eyes darting around, changing the subject.

Although Tsunade said they could move around freely, the camp was only so big, and there wasn't really anywhere to explore.

This wasn't an amusement park; leaving the camp easily could lead to encountering enemies.

If they were surrounded, they would be dead for sure.

Fortunately, Kushina was easily fooled and was convinced by Takeshi's few words.

Nawaki was one of Takeshi's main reasons for coming here.

It was very necessary to understand his current situation in advance.

"Kushina, Takeshi?"

Nawaki was surprised to see them: "Why are you here?"

In fact, the two were quite familiar with each other.

Because Takeshi would always interact with Kushina and Tsunade, he would inevitably encounter Nawaki, and naturally, they became acquainted.

"Hmph."

Kushina crossed her arms, saying discontentedly.

"If you're here, why can't we be?"

"No, no, that's not what I meant."

Nawaki scratched his head awkwardly, smiling foolishly:

"Well, my resting place is a bit messy, so I hope you don't have too high expectations."

"How messy could it be?"

Minato asked, puzzled.

"Uh..."

Nawaki's expression became unnatural, and he gestured in the air with his hand: "Very special."

After he built up the suspense, everyone became even more curious.

"So... is this a garbage dump?"

When they arrived at his tent, everyone froze in place.

Could a person really live here?

They all wondered this in their hearts.

Although through their years of interaction, Takeshi had some understanding of this guy's character.

But he hadn't expected it to be so sloppy.

Tsunade was already quite outrageous, but Nawaki was even more so.

Was Senju Hashirama's gene that powerful?
