Chapter 3 - PROXIMITY

The morning was thick with quiet. Gao Tu moved carefully, each step measured, aware of Wen Lang's Alpha presence like a gravity he could not resist. The child tugged at Gao Tu's sleeve, breaking his concentration, and Wen Lang's gaze followed him with a slow, deliberate appraisal—observant, commanding, yet tinged with unspoken care.

"You're too tense," Wen Lang said softly, voice low, carrying the subtle undertone of dominance that made Gao Tu's stomach coil. "Relax, Gao Tu."

Gao Tu's Omega instincts flared. Heat pooled in his chest, scent rising unconsciously, betraying every racing thought. "I… I can't," he admitted, voice barely above a whisper. The admission alone made his throat tight, heart hammering under Wen Lang's steady gaze.

Wen Lang stepped closer, closing the gap just enough to make Gao Tu keenly aware of the Alpha's authority. "Then let me help you," he said, hand hovering, a promise and a command all at once. "Let me control… just for a moment."

Gao Tu shivered. The Omega in him responded instinctively, a longing to submit mingled with fear of losing control. "I… okay," he whispered, surrendering—not fully, but enough for the pull to take hold.

The air between them thickened, every motion deliberate. Wen Lang's hand brushed Gao Tu's shoulder, light yet commanding, an intimate claim that sent shivers down his spine. The child played nearby, oblivious, a soft hum grounding the tension yet highlighting the forbidden closeness.

"You're always so… fragile," Wen Lang murmured, eyes darkening. "And yet, irresistible."

Gao Tu's breath hitched. Omega vulnerability and desire collided; he wanted to retreat but couldn't. "I… I can't help it," he admitted, body taut with the magnetic force of Wen Lang's Alpha dominance.

For a moment, the world narrowed to just the two of them, the unspoken desires, the fragile balance of control and surrender. Wen Lang's presence was an intoxicating command; Gao Tu's response, an instinctive, simmering surrender. And in that quiet tension, a silent agreement lingered: some desires, once awakened, refused to be denied.
