Chapter 12 - Chapter 12 – Who is Tai?

Tai began his life as any other child, filled with simple dreams… but reality is cruel.

When he turned four, he entered a stage no child his age should ever endure. Every night, his mother would tell him:

"Go to your room and sleep. Whatever sound you hear from our room, don't come."

But curiosity is lethal.

One night, he couldn't fight it anymore. He opened the door to his parents' room—and witnessed something no child should see. His mother… betraying his father with another man. Tai froze, unable to breathe. He ran back to his room, trying to sleep, but his mind wouldn't stop screaming.

When the man finally left, the mother noticed she hadn't closed the door properly.

Next morning, she said:

"Next time I'll make sure to lock the door."

(The next day)

She discovered she was pregnant. She told her husband, and he was overjoyed. She told Tai too, but he wasn't happy—just stunned, thinking:

"Is she pregnant from my father… or from that stranger?"

He said nothing.

A year passed. She gave birth to a baby girl. Tai was five, and the same thought consumed him:

"Is she my sister… or his daughter?"

He kept everything inside.

Years passed, and Tai became twelve.

One day, as the family sat at the dining table—everyone eating except Tai—his father looked at him and said:

"Tai, you've grown so fast. I want to hear you talk sometimes… but you're always thinking. What troubles you?"

He should never have asked.

Tai answered:

"I've seen the same man enter our house for eight years straight."

Silence fell.

His mother claimed he was lying, joking.

Tai exploded:

"Father, you don't know. A man comes here late at night. And you don't know that the woman you love… is cheating on you. And both she and that man have been beating me."

Tai had endured violence from his mother and the stranger since the age of five.

When he finally revealed everything, his father raged. He demanded divorce.

"I'll sue you for adultery," he said.

She asked, "What proof?"

"My son. And the child you gave birth to—I'll take a DNA test."

He did.

And the result shattered him.

Neither child was his.

He divorced her.

He said:

"I'll raise Tai. I raised him from the start—I can't leave him with you. You'll hurt him."

She smirked:

"Fine. Take him. I can take him back anytime if I want."

Two weeks after the divorce, Tai's father was murdered.

At court, the judge declared:

"Since the father has passed away, custody returns to the mother. Case closed."

Tai stood, shouting:

"Why did you close the case!? The killer wasn't even caught!"

The judge ignored him.

Officers forced Tai out of the courtroom for "disturbance."

Tai looked at the jury, the officers, the audience—waiting for anyone to stand with him.

But their eyes were empty.

None believed he had the right to speak.

When Tai ran out of breath from shouting, he knew… that he was no longer just a child.

In his mind, he said:

"A whole jury, police officers, a full courtroom… none of you looked at me. I promise you—one day there will be cases regarding your deaths.

No one will survive me, I will throw your dead bodies in front of your loved ones... and then kill them."

He was forced to return to his mother.

She beat him relentlessly.

He didn't sleep—he passed out from pain.

Tai had a video of his mother and the man, showing everything: the man entering, staying, leaving. Every detail.

After a year of abuse, she threw Tai out.

"These problems are your fault. No one told you to expose me."

She kicked him out at age 13.

No bag.

No belongings.

His clothes torn and filthy.

Her partner helped beat him, saying:

"I'm the one who killed your father."

Tai's eyes sharpened—focused on the man.

He was bruised, broken, barely able to stand… but that moment was enough to ignite his hatred.

Tai glared at him:

"You will never live a happy life."

The man laughed:

"And who's going to make it miserable? You?"

Tai responded:

"I am. And I'll make sure it's me. No one helped me in court because they saw me as a kid. I'll upload the video. I'll haunt you in your dreams. Believe me… 'sorry' won't save you. Laugh all you want now—you'll wish I died as a child. But I'll be the one who ends your life slowly."

The man punched him again and again:

"You!? Do something to me!? Don't get cocky, boy. This is my house—no one will hear your screams."

The baby girl started crying, so the man turned away from Tai.

His mother shoved Tai out into the rain.

Nightfall.

Cold.

Thunder.

Tai, soaked and bleeding, lifted his head toward the sky.

Tears mixed with rain.

Then he heard it…

A voice slithering inside him:

"You are weak… humiliated… broken… small. These are your strengths. No one will expect what you'll become. How about revenge?"

Tai whispered:

"It doesn't matter who stood against me… I'll take my revenge. And I'll show those who abandoned me—they were wrong."
