Chapter 10 - Chapter 10: Analyzing Miles Morales

"Oh my God, are you serious?" "No way, that's unbelievable!" "Do I exist? Have you seen a story about me?"

From being scattered across the room, they had surrounded Peter in less than a second. Peter felt like thousands of ducks were quacking in his ear. His head was ringing!

"Stop! Stop! Stop!!!" Peter quickly raised both hands and shouted. "Are you trying to take me out with a sound-based magical attack?"

"Uh..." The noise immediately subsided, and the Spider-People all looked a bit embarrassed. The most mature and level-headed Spider-Man Noir stepped forward to restore order. He raised his hands in a calming gesture: "Everyone, quiet down. One at a time, one question at a time."

"Me first, me first!" Miles squeezed past Middle-Aged Peter's arm and looked at Peter, curious: "Your world really doesn't have me... I mean, me as Spider-Man?" "No."

"Then does your world have people who can travel through time and space, which is how you learned about all of us?" Hearing this, Peter hesitated. He had initially planned to deny it outright. But then he remembered that if something as bizarre as dimensional travel could happen to him, why couldn't others have similar experiences?

"Probably... not on the surface? My world appears relatively harmonious. Although there are conflict zones, we haven't heard of the existence of Super Heroes or Super Villains." Peter chose his words carefully.

"Your world sounds completely different from ours, then?" Middle-Aged Peter said, a hint of envy in his tone. Peter shrugged: "Maybe I was too ordinary in the past and simply didn't encounter it? Who knows?"

"Alright, well, can you tell us the stories you know?" Middle-Aged Peter urged.

Peter nodded. Then, he summarized the plots of the Spider-Man media he had seen. The main ones were the Raimi trilogy (Tobey-Spidey), the Amazing Spider-Man duology (Andrew-Spidey), and the more recent MCU trilogy (Holland-Spidey): Homecoming, Far From Home, and No Way Home. He even interspersed some details from the Avengers films.

"Tsk..." Middle-Aged Peter smacked his lips. "That 'plot' you mentioned about Tobey-Spidey is strikingly similar to my own experiences, though that was over a decade ago." Peter (Earth-616) understood. He had already suspected that Middle-Aged Peter was closer to the first generation (Raimi), and now his guess seemed confirmed. Since the first and second generations operated independently and weren't tied to the Avengers, they naturally didn't have Iron Man as a life mentor. The first generation (Raimi) was heavily focused on "mutation." Even the webbing was produced organically from his body—the biggest difference from the second and third generations. The second generation (Amazing) was an expert inventor, having developed his own web-shooters. This was very similar to the deceased Spider-Man of this world. From Middle-Aged Peter's demeanor, he clearly resembled the first generation. Now it was all but confirmed from his own words.

"Wow—the Holland-Spidey version is so lucky! He inherited such a huge fortune! Does that mean he can buy as many video games as he wants, and eat whatever candy he wants?" Peni's eyes were shining with envy.

"Yeah, yeah! I need to go to his world sometime and make him treat me to a hot dog! A super-duper, luxuriously double-stuffed, triple-sauced version!" Spider-Ham nudged his snout, wearing a look that said, I'm going to take that rich guy for all he's worth. Peter (Earth-616): (Thinking) They're missing the point, aren't they?

"Your world certainly sounds unique," Spider-Man Noir said solemnly. "I'd truly like to see it someday." Peter laughed: "Please don't. If my world suddenly experienced something this dangerous, I'd cry myself to death."

"Hahaha—" The group burst into laughter.

"Alright, back to business," Peter said, getting serious after the brief moment of levity. "Let me tell you what I know about Miles." He looked at Miles. Miles immediately straightened his posture, looking like a diligent student awaiting instruction from his teacher.

"First, let's talk about the spider that bit you!" "It was created by Norman Osborn in an attempt to replicate Spider-Man's abilities." "Because of this, the abilities you acquired are largely similar to Peter's." "For instance, your Superhuman Strength, the power contained in your body. Since the spider that bit you should be similar to Peter's, your strength should be roughly the same: between 15 and 20 tons." "Furthermore, your superhuman physique extends to endurance and agility. Your body can withstand dozens of times the impact a normal person could, and your quickness, balance, and reflexes are top-tier." "Next is Enhanced Reaction Speed—all Spider-People react at least 20 times faster than the average person, if not more. Combined with the Spider-Sense, this allows you to dodge most attacks, including bullets." "And finally, the Wall-Crawling ability, which uses a principle similar to static electricity to adhere to surfaces." "These are all standard abilities for everyone here, which I assume you already possess, Miles," Peter concluded. Miles nodded vigorously.

Although the others had long known and mastered these conventional abilities, they remained silent, listening intently to Peter's explanation.

Peter continued: "Next, we talk about the abilities unique to you, Miles." Miles stood even straighter. Peter raised one finger: "The first ability is called the 'Venom Blast'—what you referred to as the electric shock. When your hands make contact with an enemy, you can channel the energy within your body to transfer it to the opponent. A small amount of energy can paralyze the enemy; a large amount can even kill them! This move is incredibly effective against enemies with genetic enhancements!"

Miles's eyes widened, and he raised his hands: "My body truly contains such powerful energy? But why can't I feel it at all?" Peter nodded confidently: "I am certain that your body contains a very powerful force! Your instant burst of power is even higher than theirs!"

Spider-Man Noir clutched his head: "Oh, man, that comment stings!"

Middle-Aged Peter cautiously reached out a finger and poked Miles's raised hands: "Let me poke and see... seems like no feeling?"

Gwen, Peni, and Spider-Ham also looked doubtful, clearly skeptical that Miles's latent explosive power could exceed their own.
