Chapter 3 - God of Justice

Arjun—now in Aarav Das's body—stumbled back from the mirror. His hands trembled. His pulse thundered in his ears. The reflection staring back wasn't his own. The skin felt alien, the face unfamiliar, the weight of the body strange. He felt trapped—like a soul wearing someone else's life.

Then, the blue hologram before him flickered again, sharper, more vivid than before.Letters formed in midair, glowing like molten sapphire.

"Ultimate Justice System — Activated."

A calm yet commanding voice echoed, not from the room, but from within his head.

"God of Justice is angry.""Voice message received. Do you wish to hear it? — YES / NO"

Arjun—Aarav—froze. His breath hitched."What… what is this? Who are you?" he stammered. No reply. Only silence and the faint hum of the hologram.

He tried to touch the screen, but his fingers passed through it like mist."Answer me! What are you?!"Again—nothing. The glowing YES/NO symbols pulsed patiently, as if waiting for him to surrender.

After several futile attempts, confusion gave way to desperation."Fine! YES! Just—tell me what's going on!"

The air shivered.

Then, a new voice cut through the silence—majestic, thunderous, as if echoing from the heavens themselves.

"Arjun Rao… or Aarav Das, as you now exist… listen carefully.""I am the God of Justice. I have watched the world twist its laws with greed and power. The innocent perish while the guilty feast. You begged to live… and to see justice done. I grant you this chance.""MAKE IT USEFUL."

The voice faded, leaving a heavy silence behind.

Arjun dropped to his knees, trembling."My… my mom… my body… what is happening?" he whispered, the words breaking apart in his throat.

The hologram pulsed again, softer this time.

"Do you wish to enable Voice Assistance? — YES / NO"

Arjun wiped his tears, forced himself to focus, and whispered hoarsely,"...Yes."

"Do you wish to activate mental interface? — YES / NO"

He hesitated—then nodded. "Yes."

~Ding~ "System configuration complete.""To view your current status, say or think: STATUS."

"Status," he said shakily.

Arjun stared at the glowing text, utterly lost."What is all this…?" he murmured.

The hologram flickered again."You have received a message from G.O.J (God of Justice). Do you wish to view it? — YES / NO"

"Yes," he whispered.

"Hi Aarav,I hope you have adjusted to your new body. To aid you in your path against the corrupt, I shall bestow upon you three gifts. Each holds limited power—use them to serve justice."

"Gifts? What gifts?" Arjun muttered.

"Do you wish to receive the gifts? — YES / NO"

He sighed, weary and overwhelmed. "Yes…"

~Ding~ You have obtained AI assistance — J.A.D.E. (Justice Administration & Decision Engine).~Ding~ You have acquired the skill: Judgment's Gaze.~Ding~ You have acquired the skill: Mind's Verdict.

"Do you wish to restart the system with J.A.D.E.? — YES / NO"

"What even is this Jade thing? These skills?!" Arjun shouted, exasperated.Silence again. No reply. He groaned and whispered, "Yes…"

~Ding~ System rebooting… Complete.

Then came a new voice—lighter, smoother, almost teasing.

"Hi Arjun Rao—no, wait, Aarav Das now, right? Pfft… awkward.""Anyway! I'm J.A.D.E., your Justice Administration & Decision Engine. Need legal research? I got you. Need emotional support? I'm your new best friend. Need a reality check? Yeah… come to me."

Arjun blinked. "Wait—you can talk?! Finally! Jade, what is all this? What happened to my mom? To me? To—"

"Calm yourself," J.A.D.E. interrupted softly. "I know you have questions. I will answer them—one by one.""Your previous life ended when your lifespan reached zero. That body, your home, your mother—they are gone. I'm sorry, Arjun."

His chest tightened. The words struck harder than any blow.

"But your soul remains," J.A.D.E. continued gently. "You lived with compassion. You fought for others. You suffered injustice. Those deeds forged your Karma Points. They saved your soul from dissolution."

Arjun whispered, "Karma… points?"

"Yes. This body you now inhabit—Aarav Das—was also dead. Careless, indulgent, corrupt. His soul has departed. You are now his vessel. His name, his wealth, his skills—they're yours to wield.""Each act of true justice will earn Karma Points. Every point extends your lifespan. Ignore your duty, and within a day, this body will perish as well."

He sat motionless, numb, the truth settling like lead in his chest."So… I'm dead. Twice over."

"Perhaps," J.A.D.E. said, its tone softening. "But not without purpose. The scales of justice need balance, and you are its instrument now."

Arjun looked down, his voice a whisper. "My mother…?"

"She passed from the mortal plane, Arjun. Nothing can change that. But through your actions, others like her can be spared. That… is your redemption."

Silence hung between them. Then, slowly, Arjun rose to his feet.

"Start with what you know," J.A.D.E. advised. "Observe, learn, and act. Every decision from this moment will shape your fate."

A new message appeared:

"Will you accept this responsibility?"

Arjun's fists tightened. His heartbeat steadied.Fear and sorrow burned away, replaced by something sharper—resolve.

"I… accept," he whispered. "I will not fail again. I will bring justice—whatever it takes."

"Affirmation confirmed.""Karma tracking activated.""First mission pending."

The hologram dimmed, leaving only the faint hum of divine energy in the air.

Arjun—now Aarav—stood tall, the fire of purpose kindling behind his eyes. This world had taken everything from him once. This time, he would return the favor—with justice.
