# Chapter 95: Greedy Venom Fusion Dragon
"Dragonic Armament Combination: Dragon King Utopia Ray's effect activates! Once per turn, when this card is targeted by an effect or chosen as an attack target, I can select one 'Zexal Weapon' monster from my hand or Deck and equip it to this card as an Equip Spell Card."
"From my Deck, I equip Zexal Weapon - Wild Eagle Divine Claw to this card!"
Dragonic Armament Combination: Dragon King Utopia Ray ATK: 5000 → 7000
"It's useless. That effect does nothing but increase the damage you'll take," Yuri said.
"Your Spell Card only takes effect when a monster is destroyed by battle, correct?" Yūga Hōzumi said unhurriedly, facing the furious offensive.
"The effect of Zexal Weapon - Wind God Cloud Dragon Sword activates! If the equipped monster would be destroyed by battle, I destroy this card instead."
Dragonic Armament Combination: Dragon King Utopia Ray ATK: 7000 → 5700
The dragon-shaped longsword beside Dragonic Armament Utopia Ray flashed with a cold light as it was destroyed along with the incoming vines.
"I see. So this Equip Card's effect is a substitute for battle destruction?"
"Then, Predaplant Chimera Rafflesia, attack Tornado Dragon!" Yuri commanded with a wave of his hand, and the enormous Rafflesia opened its maw toward Tornado Dragon.
"Tornado Dragon's effect activates! Once per turn, I detach one Overlay Unit from this card to target one Spell or Trap Card on the field and destroy it! I'm destroying your Field Spell!"
Just before being devoured by the Rafflesia, Tornado Dragon unleashed a hurricane at the Field Spell behind Yuri. As the Field Spell was destroyed, Tornado Dragon was swallowed whole.
"I set one card and end my turn." Yuri set his card. "At this moment, Starving Venom Fusion Dragon's ATK returns to its original value."

"My turn! I draw!" Yūga Hōzumi drew a card.
"I summon Gogogo Golem in Attack Position!"
"I activate the effect of Dododo Dwarf - Gogogo Glove from my Graveyard!"
"While this card is in the Graveyard and I control a 'Gogogo' or 'Dododo' monster other than this card, I can Special Summon it."
"I overlay my two Level 4 monsters!" Yūga Hōzumi raised his right hand, summoning forth a cosmic vortex.
"Shine forth, light of hope! Xyz Summon! Rank 4! Descend, warrior of hope! Number 39: Utopia Double!"
"I activate the effect of Utopia Double! By detaching one Xyz Material from this card, I can add one 'Double or Nothing!' from my Deck to my hand. Then, I can Special Summon one 'Utopia' Xyz Monster from my Extra Deck, other than this card, by using this card on my field as material. That monster's ATK is doubled, but it cannot attack directly."
"Xyz Change! Number 39: Utopia!"
A radiant light burst from Utopia's armor. In its original form, Utopia brandished its longsword and pointed it at Yuri.

"Battle! Utopia, attack Starving Venom Fusion Dragon!"
With a wave from Yūga Hōzumi, the wings on Utopia's back beat powerfully, launching it into the air. It then raised its sword and charged toward Starving Venom Fusion Dragon.
"I activate the effect of Utopia! When any monster declares an attack, I can detach one Xyz Material from this card to negate that attack."
"At this moment, I activate the Quick-Play Spell, Double or Nothing! When a monster's attack is negated, I can target that monster! During this Battle Phase, that monster can attack one more time, and when it does, its ATK is doubled during the Damage Step."
"Go! Utopia Double Sword Slash!"
Aided by Double or Nothing!, the longsword in Utopia's hand blazed with light, gathering a surge of energy before swinging down on Starving Venom Fusion Dragon.
Number 39: Utopia ATK: 5000 → 10000
"10,000 Attack Points, huh? What a terrifying creature." Yuri chuckled lightly and revealed his set card.
"I activate the Quick-Play Spell, Rapid Trigger! I destroy Fusion Materials on my field that are listed on a Fusion Monster Card, then Fusion Summon that monster from the Extra Deck."
"I destroy Predaplant Chimera Rafflesia and Starving Venom Fusion Dragon on my field! Fusion Summon!"
Following two gunshot sounds, Starving Venom Fusion Dragon and Predaplant Chimera Rafflesia were shattered by bullets, the fragments of the two monsters slowly intertwining.
"O poison dragon with hungry fangs! O fragrant flower that lures souls to the abyss! Now, become one and devour all as you please! Fusion Summon! Appear, Level 10, Greedy Venom Fusion Dragon!"
Accompanied by a hoarse draconic roar, an eerie purple light shone from the fusion vortex. In moments, the great dragon burst forth, soaring high and roaring in mid-air.

"When a Fusion Summoned Starving Venom Fusion Dragon is destroyed, all Special Summoned monsters on the opponent's field are destroyed."
A phantom of Starving Venom Fusion Dragon appeared behind Yuri. With a flap of its wings, a faint purple wave swept toward Yūga Hōzumi's field.
"He guessed I would be ready for his Trap Card, so he used a Quick-Play Spell for defense instead?" Yūga Hōzumi frowned, watching the arrogant purple evil dragon soaring through the air.
"The effect of Zexal Weapon - Thunder God Fierce Tiger Sword activates! If the equipped monster would be destroyed by a card effect, I destroy this card instead."
Dragonic Armament Combination: Dragon King Utopia Ray ATK: 5700 → 4500
The longsword floating beside Dragonic Armament Utopia transformed into a white tiger, blocking the spreading purple wave. However, the original form of Utopia beside it wasn't so lucky. Under the influence of the purple wave, its glowing armor crumbled bit by bit, vanishing from the field.
"Dragonic Armament Combination: Dragon King Utopia Ray, attack Greedy Venom Fusion Dragon!"
Dragon King Utopia Ray spread its red wings, leapt into the air with its red longsword, and clashed with Greedy Venom Fusion Dragon.

"When Greedy Venom Fusion Dragon is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, its effect activates. All monsters on the field are destroyed." After taking damage, Yuri frowned slightly, then waved his hand to activate Greedy Venom Fusion Dragon's graveyard effect. Where the dragon had vanished, countless vines sprouted from the void, tightly entangling Dragon King Utopia Ray.
