A ruckus ended hastily.
Laxus had long lost the strength to resist, and probably the will to resist too. One slap from the President could send him to a deep sleep.
The damage to the church will be noted for now, and compensation will be made after the Harvest Festival.
Not just the church, but many other shops, residences, and stalls in the city will also be compensated later.
They couldn't worry about that now; everyone planned to return to the Guild first, check on everyone's status, and then decide whether to postpone the Magical Parade.
Makarov originally intended to meet with the mayor to resolve the panic caused by the strong light from Fairy Law.
But after walking a bit outside, they found there was no panic at all; some even approached to ask if they were preparing for some special program, hence the big commotion.
Everyone felt awkward and could only claim it was an accident.
The Guild's infamous penchant for causing trouble came in handy at times like this.
As they slowly walked toward the Guild, they dealt with inquiries from passersby.
Gray was in charge of carrying Laxus, and Jubia was supporting Erza.
Erza wanted to ask the President about Mystogan, but now wasn't the right time.
Lucy was pestering Mira to ask about what happened, and Natsu was a bit unhappy that the fight ended halfway through, but Kana wrapped her arm around Natsu's neck to quiet him down.
Gajeel also felt dissatisfied, but felt too awkward to join in with them.
Rhode looked at the low-spirited Makarov and inquired, "President, have you had Granny Porlyusica check your health?"
Makarov suddenly broke into a cold sweat: "Ah... this, this... of course... I think I should first go apologize to the mayor!"
Rhode impolitely grabbed Makarov by the collar, forcing him to stand still: "Why are you so guilty?"
Kana said, "Because the President snuck out. Granny Porlyusica said he shouldn't be out of bed today, so we came to take him back."
"Oh~" Rhode definitely couldn't let go now, letting the President struggle like a caught child.
...
"You idiot!"
"Pwah!"
Makarov had just returned to the Guild; before he could say a word, he was sent flying by a broomstick, plastered against the wall, slowly sliding down.
If it had been an outsider doing this, the members would have piled on and pinned the person down for a beating, but since it was Granny Porlyusica, it was fine.
Everyone continued their activities, some even wanted to enjoy a drink while watching the President get beaten.
After today's chaos, out of nearly a hundred members in the Guild, sixty to seventy were injured to various degrees.
Some acted as if nothing happened and moved freely, while others were bandaged up and complaining about their injuries.
Actually, before Rhode and the others returned, quite a few people were awkwardly apologizing to each other, or had fought again to mend their relationships.
Those not injured hadn't even started fighting before the petrification and techniques got lifted.
Currently, the Thunder God Tribe trio was still lying in the infirmary, with only Fried awake, being cared for by Elfman.
As Mira had mentioned, Elfman was quite good at taking care of people.
When Gray came in carrying Laxus, he received many unfriendly looks, not directed at him though.
Laxus had turned the festival into a mess and did such outrageous things, claiming not to be angry would be a lie.
But since he was still unconscious, there wasn't much to say.
Porlyusica seemed tired from hitting people, unceremoniously calling out to Rhode and the others, assigning tasks to Gray: "You lot stay put, you, put that idiot on a bed and take out my medicine box."
She had heard about Laxus's outrageous actions from others in the Guild, and if she hadn't watched him grow up, Porlyusica wouldn't bother with him.
"The old one's an idiot, the young one's an idiot, not a single one gives peace of mind. That's why I hate this idiotic Guild..."
Porlyusica complained while checking Rhode, Mira, and Erza's injuries, prescribing the most suitable medicine.
However, these three were quite low-maintenance, compared to those unconscious from mutual beatings, they were lightly injured.
Erza took the medicine and bandages, "We'll take care of the rest ourselves. Please tend to the President... and Laxus first."
Porlyusica nodded, these slight injuries indeed didn't require her care.
Erza said to Mira and Rhode, "Alright, Mira, Rhode, let's help each other out; we still need to prepare the Magical Parade later."
Rhode promptly held Mira, quickly saying, "The two of us together is fine. Erza, you go help Natsu and Gajeel. Natsu's clumsy, and Gajeel, as a newcomer, needs your attention."
Mira smiled, "Indeed."
"Makes sense," Erza thought seriously, "Forget Natsu, Hapi can help him; Gajeel indeed needs some good care."
The kind-hearted Rhode and the innocent Mira tended each other's wounds, applying bandages where needed.
"How did your face get so badly injured too?" Mira gently used a cotton ball to wipe the bruises on Rhode's face.
The Friendship Face-Breaking Fist was mutual. Rhode was confident that Laxus's face must've been more swollen than his own.
"He must be jealous of my good looks."
"Vain."
Watching Mira's careful actions, Rhode joked, "I heard that when your face is swollen, a kiss makes it heal faster."
Mira didn't buy his nonsense, "Heard it? You mean you said it yourself?"
