Chapter 60 - Vik's driving classes

I gave a long introduction, adding a few lines. As I spoke, the village men looked at Lu Xiaoran with hope and awe. Meanwhile, the thugs gulped in fear at the sight of him. I thought these lines worked well. I should aim for a longer introduction next time. Soon, Lu Xiaoran defeated all the thugs. Only the man named Hyena remained. He stood up and wore a confident expression while flaring his spiritual aura, signaling that he was at the peak of the foundation establishment stage. As he slowly walked toward us, he said, "Boy, you messed with the wrong people. Don't blame me if I accidentally kill you."

He coated his fist with flames and punched toward Lu Xiaoran. Lu Xiaoran caught his fist easily, and I heard a crunching sound. I think he just broke Hyena's hand. Hyena screamed in pain, but Lu Xiaoran didn't give him time to register it. He punched him in the gut, knocking him unconscious. The fight didn't last long at all. Most of the thugs, along with Hyena, lay on the ground, many of them unconscious. Thankfully, they didn't die because I had instructed Lu Xiaoran to control his strength. A normal punch from him could tear these thugs apart.

We wasted no time and freed all the village men. I spoke with an old man who seemed to be their leader, named Sam. He told me that the thugs had kidnapped them after the police released them, and it was actually the police who dropped them off here in a large truck. Once they arrived, the men were beaten, and the thugs took their thumbprints and signatures on blank papers to ensure they couldn't legally claim any rights to their land.

After hearing this, we didn't linger. As we moved out of the warehouse, we found a large truck and several SUVs outside. They even parked our pickup truck there. It seemed they didn't want to leave any evidence at the crime scene. However, these vehicles could work as our transportation, considering we had more than a hundred men with us. I directed everyone into the trucks and remaining cars, telling those who could drive to follow our pickup truck, as they might not know the way back. Then, Lu Xiaoran and I walked back to our pickup truck, bringing the unconscious Hyena with us to gather more information. We placed him in the back seat, and as I got inside, I noticed Pushpa sitting in the driver's seat.

I remembered that I left her in my room at the society, so she must have followed me. Now, she was making a cute face and meowing at me. This cat had zero survival skills, and I couldn't understand how the system classified her as an outer god.

After taking Pushpa in my lap, I started driving while the others followed in their cars. After about half an hour, we reached the society. Upon seeing the large convoy entering, the women stepped out with nervous expressions. But when they saw their family members, joy lit up their faces, and some even ran to hug them. Watching this made me feel proud. I said, "Lu Xiaoran, look at the smiles on their faces. This is what we aspire to. This should be your goal, at least while you're acting as a hero."

He nodded in response. I noticed a mysterious glint in his eyes. Just then, Hyena woke up and started screaming for us to release him. I was about to ignore him when he said something he shouldn't have.

Hyena: "You don't know who is behind me. Let me go now, and this could end peacefully. Think about it—you cannot win. If we can kidnap all those men in the heart of the city in broad daylight, can't we do it again? Will you always be there to protect them? Even if you protect the men, what about the women? We know women can be easier targets. You don't want to see your women kidnapped and sold in the black market."

Hearing him made something crack inside me. I was very angry, so I turned to him and said, "You're right, we should let you go."

Hyena: "That's right! Release me now!"

Vik: "Okay, but not now. You're injured. How can you get back to your people? Why don't you tell us where your friends are, and we'll drop you there? So, where do you want to go?"

Hyena: "You understand things quickly. Drop me at the West Night Club in the entertainment district, and I'll forget your misbehavior."

After he spoke, I looked at him and nodded with a smile. I then faced the people in the society who waited for us to get out of the pickup truck and said, "Guys, I remembered an urgent task. I'll be back soon."

With that, I drove back onto the main road. I told Lu Xiaoran, "Fasten your seat belt. We're in for a race. I'll show you how to drive a car." I held Pullsha close. Then, I focused my mind on the pickup truck. It might not handle what I was about to do, so I modified it a little with my spiritual energy, slowly changing its shape.

System: "Host, what are you going to do?"

Vik: "System, I'm going to start driving. Like a drive from my childhood, I'll drive my car in the city GTA style."

I took a deep breath and said, "Cheat code 'PANZER.'" Now, the truck had completely transformed. It looked exactly like a T-90 tank, with an armored chassis and a 125mm smoothbore cannon. Both Lu Xiaoran and Hyena were stunned by this change. I pulled the accelerator, and the tank sped up suddenly. Hyena lost consciousness from the inertia, but Lu Xiaoran was fine.

I was now speeding through the city streets in a tank. I gradually increased the speed to 50 km/h, then pushed it to 100 km/h. I was driving a tank at the speed of supercars, drifting on city roads. I kept control to avoid harming anyone nearby. Still, I created chaos on the streets, and soon two police cars began tailing us. These hover cars sped toward me, and I accelerated again to 200 km/h, taking a swift turn and leaving them behind. I quickly reached the entertainment district where the club Hyena mentioned was located and drove my tank right into the club.

In the West Night Club, a bald man with a long scar across his face was enjoying a drink while watching women dance. Beside him, a young woman who looked like a college student was shivering. The man smiled and said, "Hey sweet girl, why are you shivering? I'm not some devil. Think about your family; their loans won't clear themselves. Come sit on my thigh so we can talk closely." The girl closed her eyes, preparing herself for sacrifice. Suddenly, a strong tremor shook the club, causing everything to fall. As the bald man fell, he saw a tank crash through the wall.

Inside the club, people were running out due to the chaos my entrance created, but I didn't have time to notice. I grabbed Hyena, waking him up from his unconsciousness. As he looked around and cursed at me, I said, "Hey, we arrived at the location you mentioned. Now, tell me where your friend is."

Seeing fear in my eyes, he pointed at the bald man on the floor and said, "Brother Black Boar, please save me! This man kidnapped me."

Hearing this, the bald man stood up. Before he could say anything, I glared at him, immobilizing him with my aura. I pulled him into my tank as we moved out of the club. Back in the tank, I asked the man named Boar, "So, you're his boss. Tell me how many people you have and where those papers signed by the village men are."

Boar: "You don't know who you're messing with. Release us now, and I'll give you a light punishment. Once my boss finds you, you won't have a place to bury yourself."

Familiar with this type of threat, I snapped one of his legs, making him scream and beg to know who his boss was. Overcome with fear, he said, "His name is Vicky. We call him Lion, and he leads our Jungle Gang. You won't be able to hurt him; he's a police officer at the governor's district police station. He might know about those papers."

After breaking another one of his legs, he revealed everything he knew about his leader. I confirmed my suspicion—someone from the police was involved. However, I didn't expect the leader to be connected to these thugs. Their naming sense was pathetic, calling themselves the Jungle Gang. Now, I was angry and determined to burn down this gang. Sigh! It was going to be a long day.
