~FLASHBACK YEARS AGO ~
"Hey, there are survivors here, Alpha. What should we do with them" Axel, the Beta of the attacking pack asked as he sheath out his sword ready to strike.
A Huge tall Wolf strode up to him and morphed back into human. The Alpha-Alpha Kane of EverStone pack - A bunch of rogues who had come together to form a powerful and very feared Pack.
"You know what to do, Axel. Kill all the ranked males, find the sword and Imprison the weaker ones and bring the women and children along. They will serve us well as slaves"alpha kane spoke.
"Your wish is my command - Alpha" Axel growled then morphed back to his wolf form and sprang off at the speed of lightning.
Dark clouds began to form. It was already about to rain. Stormborne Pack was already conquered and was left in ruins by the Rogue Pack who had been rivals with them for quite a long time.
Stormborne Alpha had died few days ago. He was poisoned and couldn't save himself when it happened.
And immediately after their great Pack had fallen, EverStone had began planning to overtake them and make Stormborne theirs to Claim.
And now they were here - slashing and killing ruthlessly, not sparing even a single ranked male alive.
Heavy droplets of rain began dropping from the sky as the blood soaked fangs of the Male rogues continued to tear and rip through organs relentlessly.
It was dark. Everywhere Bloody and muddy like a slaughter house. Infact, This was no different from a slaughter house because the rogues were also slashing and biting through the males as they pleased - not even a thread of sympathy emanating from them.
At the back of the Den, down through the forest. Two ranked wolves were helping the recently widowed Luna escape. The ground was all slippery and the fact that she was pregnant and heavily due made it harder for them to pass true.
"Luna...Luna Rachel. Stay with me....stay with me Luna. She is losing a lot of blood, Kyle, do something" Katherine shuddered in shaky breaths as she helped Rachel rest her back on one of the forests thick trees with rain beating them uncontrollably.
"What should I do, Kat.. you are the female here. I know absolutely nothing about birthing a pup"
A thunder clap followed and Kyle immediately turned back terrified that they might have been followed.
"They have killed almost all our men, Luna. I can't go back to call anyone. I might not even return alive. I'm sorry" Kyle let out, his voice filled with fear.
"There is nothing in this forest for us to use. She is weak and in pains. Is your life more important than hers"Katherine snapped.
The heavy rain made it more difficult to think clearly. Lightning sparks and thunder claps rumbled through the atmosphere with vigour, not sparing them any warmth.
Katherine shakily tore a piece of her clothe and placed it under Rachel's lap to soak the dripping blood.
"This won't do Kyle, you are not helping matters" she said, looking up at a freezing Kyle who looked scared out of his pants.
"Fine...since you are so chicken to protect your own Luna. I will go get supplies for her myself." Katherine spat in a frustrated tone as she turned to leave.
Luna Rachel hold Katherine hands, stopping her from going any further.
She immediately sat up and shook her head disapprovingly at Katherine.
" No Katherine, dont..dont go. That doesn't matter right now. Just Forget getting any supplies- I'm fine...Please... just..." She winced heavily as she sat up in pain.
She gently lifted her dress. Blood was practically spurting out of her uncontrollably and it had already stained her so much.
She rubbed her hands around her bloated belly and looked up at Katherine's teary eyes.
"Luna?" Katherine softly let out as she began sobbing.
"Nothing is goin to happen to you, Okay. I will make sure of it" She said, crouching to her level as she hugged her. She got ready to leave again.
Rachel called out to her again.
"I know you will, Kat. Please forget the supplies - I'm fine. This will heal in just a matter of time. I am an Alpha female... don't you remember?" Rachel teased, Even while in pain, she was still cheerful as she smiled at Katherine.
"I do but...?" Katherine tried to say.
"Shh" Rachel gently silenced her, placing her index finger between her lips to keep her quiet.
"You and Kyle have both served me greatly, Katherine...and it's something I will never forget, not now and not in the afterlife"
"Then let me still serve you now, Luna" Katherine told her clutching her hand with both her palms.
"You will Katherine...in ways you might have never imagined"Rachel smile.
Racheal winced again in pain as she held tightly to Katherine's hand.
"They are coming, Katherine. I can feel them" She said as she looked up to the sky.
"They? Who's them?" Kyle asked. He was as confused as Katherine as they both stare at her, trying to understand.
"My pups and the sword. They are coming" she gittered shakily as she screeched in pain.
"Pups, as in twins, and the ancient sword?" Kyle asked rushing to stand beside both of them.
"Yes, Kyle. Please..." She let out again, still shuddering and wincing.
"Please...promise me you both will take care of them...please"
"No, stop it Luna, don't say such. You will live long and healthy to raise them by yourself" Katherine cut through.
Rachel chuckled and stared at her.
"You have always been the stubborn type, katherine. Please... raise them the same way"
"Stop it Luna, you are scaring me"
Rachel let out a loud scream. It echoed through the forest loud enough that anyone with ears who was nearby would hear.
"It's time, Katherine" she told her and lay down flatly. She huffed and puffed relentlessly, struggling with her breath.
Kyle who was confused as to what to do, quickly rose and turned back to give them some privacy.
"Steady, Luna, steady... Breathe in and breathe out...easy okay".
Katherine helped her steady her breathing a bit then lifted her legs up and widened them.
Rachel let out a loud scream as blood continued spurting out uncontrollably from her hole.
"Stay with me, Luna...Look at me.On the count of three, When I say push..You push, okay. Don't stop till I tell you to"
Rachel nodded, still huffing as she held the ground tightly like she was trying to conceal the immense pain rupturing through her thighs.
"On the count of three. Push when I tell you to" She said and Rachel nodded approvingly.
" One..." Katherine began, looking up to meet her gaze.
"two....three...puuuushhh"
"Uhhhhhhhhhh" Rachel groaned in pain as she arched her back stiffly and eventually dropped back, unable to hold back the pain any longer.
"C'mon Luna, you can do this, just listen to my voice" Katherine encouraged her.
" Now when I say push again -You push, okay"Katherine continue.
Rachel nodded and bit her lower lip as she lick her wet tears and readied herself.

The next moment was filled with endless groans and screams as Rachel fought tirelessly before finally. A gently cry was heard as something popped out.
It was the head of the pup it already sprouted out and Katherine helped her pull him out.
Katherine happily ripped off his umbilical cord as a glint of hope and joy shone in his eyes making hers sparkle too.
just then a shinny white sword falls between them.
He let out a louder cry and Rachel smiled. She looked like she was about to pass out as she spun her head around and began to act dizzy.
"Luna? Luna?" Katherine called out startled.
"Hold him for me Kyle" she said handing the pup over to Kyle and crouching beside Rachel.
"Rachel held her hand. Just one more to go and you are good, Luna. Don't give up"
Rachel laughed in pain.
"I always told you to stop calling me Luna, Kat. As usual, you never listened" she began
" You never listen to whatever I tell you kat and I always loved you for it " she continued as she let out little coughs.
"especially because...you never for once, thought about yourself, just others" she told her, her smile not faltering all the while she was in pain.
"And that's one of the reasons why you will always remain dear to me, kat."she muttered.
"But I need you to listen to me this time, Kat. No matter what...make sure both my sons live. Even if it takes ripping me open for it."she continue and Katherine eyes widened.
"Luna" Katherine screamed, heavy eyed as tears began forming.
"Take them both far away from this. From Alpha Kane, from EverStone and here. Please keep both them, the sword and yourself safe. I will never forgive you if you do otherwise"she spoke.
" Kyle?" Rachel gently called out and he turned back. His eyes were also wet with tears. He had been listening in on their conversation and it seemed he had already prepared himself for what was about to happen. He gave her a reassuring nod and Rachel smiled.
"Take care of them for me, please" Rachel let out and without a warning, she gave up the ghost.
The Silence that followed was deafening as her last words rang loudly in Katherine's ears.
Katherine let out a loud scream that tore across the forest and hugged Rachel's body as she let her grief and the cold that came after consume her.

Not shortly after, Kyle heard sudden footsteps approaching and closing in towards their direction.
It made him begin to panic seriously as he knew they weren't in any way safe where they were currently.
"She's gone, Kat. But it's up to us, to keep her death wish" He said, consoling his sister.
"It's easy for you to say. You weren't the one who lost your best friend, were you? She was literally barely more than a Luna to me."she Sobbed.
Kyle stiffened in his steps, clenching his fists tightly as her harsh words pricked him badly.
Yes, he had not always been the emotional or stubborn one but for him, Rachel meant as much as a friend to him as she did to his sister.
Hearing her say this was just painful.
"I know I have never been thoroughly helpful and yes, I might not know what you are going through- but we need to face reality here kat. They are coming. Rachel is gone but we need to keep them alive...just as she asked."Kyle said.
"Them Kyle?Them? What them" Katherine let out facing him with a stern gaze.
a mere ancient sword took my best friend away from me, I will never forgive them."she ranted pointing at the shinny sword on the floor.
"No Katherine, No. I won't let you do that. This is exactly what she was talking about. You want to sacrifice someone's who's alive and what will that do for you? Bring back they dead mom. Isn't that hypocritical of you to even think of."Kyle stepped forward, patting her shoulder.
He brought out his fangs as he gave the baby with him a deep scar in his back.
"Get a grip of yourself kat. Here...take the pup let me do it. She might be gone- but let her children live on for her."he muttered.
Katherine paused for a while, letting the silence linger for a while before she finally wiped her tears and swallowing her grief, she shakily held out her arms to kyle.
Kyle placed the pup in her arms as she smiled at the pup who was currently sleeping and smiling when she carried him.
"He looks just like her" she says then smiled.
"He sure does" Kyle added
"Even the white hair" he said and they both chuckled.
Suddenly, A loud growl tore through the forest. They both looked at each other panicked.
"The rogues, they are here" Kyle let out, shaking in fear.
"Turn away, you shouldn't see this" He tells his sister and she gives him a reassuring nod then quickly turns.
Kyle quickly morphed into his wolf and let out a cold howl. His wolf was large and since he was a beta, very powerful.
His gold eyes shone brightly as he strode over to where Rachel's body laid.
"They are survivors here, Beta" a male rogue shouted, calling the attention of the others.
Katherine and Kyle looked up in panic as he did. Katherine quickly tore a piece of her cloth. She strapped the baby on her back tightly and screamed to Kyle.
"C'mon Kyle, hurry up . They are here." She said, her voice panic stricken with fear.
Kyle quickly ripped Rachel's body open, trying to be gentle so as not to hurt the pup.
He reached in and pulled out a lifeless and not breathing pup whose eyes were tightly shot. A gasp left his lips as he stared at the lifeless poor thing.
"We weren't quick. We failed her, Kat." His let out shaking as he dragged the pup out with his fangs. He cut the umbilical cord and let out a cold howl again.
Katherine whimpered in response. She gestured for them to leave him and go.
Instead, Kyle suddenly morphed back to his human form.
He let out a gasp and closed his eyes.
"Run, Kat. Run as fat as you can and protect that pup and the sword with your life."he said.
Katherine whimpered at what he was saying and gave a disapproving gaze as tears formed on the brim of her eyes.
The Male rogues were already closing in and-fast and if they didn't leave now, both them, the sword and the pup are done for.
"Trust me kat, I know what I am doing" Kyle told her, giving her a reassuring smile before turning back.
Katherine pick up the sword then turned to leave and glanced at him one more time, still whimpering as she gave him a sad look.
Her wolf swiftly sprinted off, leaving only the wind behind her as she ran not looking back.

Despite not knowing where she was heading to Katherine ran endlessly, like her life depended on it. Probably because it did. This pup was her main and only priority at the moment and she was definitely not going to lose him too.
She would rather die protecting the sword and the pup than let that happen, she told herself.
She looked back several times, hoping intently that Kyle was just behind her but every time she looked back, he was no where to be found.
She still didn't stop running. After a while, She briefly came to a hill as she stared out the vast slope, looking out for any village or person nearby.
She stared far out and tried listening in for sounds but heard no footsteps.
She then walked over to a nearby tree. She saw no one was around and quickly used the opportunity to shift back into her human form.
After she rested there for a while, she suddenly began hearing voices and footsteps approaching them.
She instantly stood up, strapped the pup back on her back and hid behind one of the large boulders nearby.
"You know, it ain't a surprise that she would come about confessing how much she likes you... and in the presence of other wolves there" Ramsey - a male wolf spoke as he faced his friend who he was strolling with.
"She's not that bad... I just don't think I would like anything to do with anyone who isn't my mate and until I finally find her... I stay single" Klaus, the friend whom Ramsey was with, said, smirking.
"Spoken like a true Alpha. I hope this mate of yours is deserving of all your wait" Ramsey laughed and Klaus shook his head at how stupid Ramsey was looking while laughing.
"I still wonder what sorcery you used in making me choose you as my Beta. You give the absolutely worst advice anyone has ever given me before" Klaus said and they both laughed.
Katherine who was still hiding behind the giant rock gulped in fear that they might eventually find her and the pup if she didn't start moving in time.
They could be working with the EverStone Pack and if they were, it wouldn't end well for her if they ended up catching her.
As she made to quietly bend over so as to hide better, a thorny bush roughly clung to the back of the sleeping pup's hair and as expected.
He let out a quiet sob as his eyes fluttered open.
Klaus quickly turned back as he faced Ramsey.
"Wait, did you hear that? I think someone's following us?" He said.
"Hear what?" Ramsey asked.
"Wait, shhh" Klaus silenced him as he turned around taking silent steps as he approached the area where he thought he had heard it come from.
Katherine immediately unstrapped the pup and began trying to make him stop his sobbing but unfortunately she made it worse.
"Shhh"she gestured, staring at him as she gently began rocking him.
"C'mon don't cry. Not now. Pleasee don't cry now" she whispered as she held him.
He immediately kept shut and soon enough, without a warning, he suddenly let out a terribly loud cry.
Katherine froze in fear and so did Ramsey and Klaus.
They held their ears as the search got worse.
"I knew I heard something. Something's behind that boulder" Klaus said as he took some steps forward towards the rock.
