My clan members came. And then they gave names. Except for Danzo and Orochimaru. Every Shinobi they identified was executed right there before our very eyes. They had only captured them two weeks ago. So thankfully, they hadn't implanted cursed seals on them. But they did do a few experiments.
Those labs and records were burned indiscriminately.
The next day, in the clan council. The act was trashed. The Fuinjutsu Board was abolished. The Fuinjutsu Council was established with me as head, as an independent body only answerable to the Hokage under certain conditions like the KMPF.
There were no surprises and no turnarounds.
The council was established. And I named my four commanders as the councillors. Along with a rough draft of the Council. Which was as restrictive as the act had been, actually , even worse in some aspects. But this time. I was the executor.
The council assigned a generous budget and a ridiculously high amount of compensation. The burden of which will be shared by the village, the Shimura, the Sarutobi, and Orochimaru.
The council vote was unanimous and silent. Then it discussed a few random things before being let out.

I was caught by Uchiha Fugaku right outside the door. "Lord Kurosawa."
"Lord Uchiha. How have you been?"
"I have been fine. How about you?"
"I am more than fine now."
He chuckled. "I suppose so. Anyways, I was hoping to have a meeting with you as soon as possible."
"I understand your concerns, Lord Uchiha. But my clan has been through a lot. I will not be taking any meetings for the next month or so. But after that, I assure you that you will be among the first people I meet."
"Very well. I understand."
A similar conversation played out with almost all heads, including the Inuzuka, the Aburame, the Nara, the Akimichi, the Hatake, the AKSE, and the FAK. And with a lot of middling clans. Although with them, my last line changed. "Ask me again after that. And we will see."
I wanted to focus on rebuilding. The Kurokami didn't approach me that day. But they will soon. They needed my approval to survive. The Tear was too strong an asset. Everything else was dirt in comparison. Mini-Bijudamas rock. Now their tags were auxiliary. And if I executed the whole clan in retaliation. Nobody would bat an eye. Total control over all already registered Fuinjutsu masters was part of the deal.
But unlike me. They won't survive trying to defect.
I stopped on my way at Ichiraku Ramen. Its calming presence made me nostalgic for the Chunin exams.
I wanted to call Rina over. But she had been out on some mission. Good for her. She was finally getting back on her feet.
On the way we bought everything we needed for a grand celebration. People made faces. They won't make them soon.
Our compound was still barebones. So we just sat down and ate. Played music and danced around a campfire in the training field. My first 10 warriors told stories of their legendary adventures. I wanted to discuss the future. But when I saw the light and laughter spilling around. I decided to wait.
Interestingly after that haunting experience. A lot more couples were made. I even saw Raya and Emi with other boys. Their girly crush had faded now. Hina was still here, though.
And when I slept on my broken bed that day. For the first time in a long while. I slept like the dead.

Warm sunlight hit my face. I guess I forgot to close the blinds. I yawned and stretched only to feel a warm body right beside me. I slowly opened and lifted the blanket to see Hina there. Still clothed.
I remembered her climbing in and wanting more. But the sleep of peace was too deep. I had just fought too long and too hard for it. So I just slept with her in my arms. Snuggling close, breathing deep.
It felt nice and wholesome.
She scrunched up her face when light touched it. I smiled and extricated myself. I left the sleeping beauty there and went to have breakfast. I had things to do.

The winter legion and I took everything and then some at the Fuinjutsu vault, along with the things that had been seized. The Autumn legion worked to find contractors for the repair work we needed at our compound and the shop, and for the out-of-the-village lab I planned to construct. It had been approved really fast when I mentioned Tear testing site. Unofficially, I was gonna convert it to a secondary base. There will even be a tunnel connecting the two.
The brainy Spring legion was given the task of building a comprehensive plan for the council. While I gave Haruto and Summer the task of establishing the information network. The Ryo inflow was gonna help them a lot.
Especially after the announcements were made. All the blame was put onto the Fuinjutsu board as it was abolished. Danzo was forced to call a retirement from public life again. This time for good. The rumors surrounding us changed from traitors to heroes who had helped the Hokage uncover the deep seated corruption in the board and advisor council. Our new weapon and status were made known far and wide.
A letter came from the Daimyo three days later. Except the apologies and hope for the future, and calling everything misunderstandings. There was one crucial news. Lady Hana was coming back. But this time she was bringing the Royal Princess for a visit. They'll arrive in around 2 weeks.
There were several other letters. I picked them up. Read them. Then left. These 15 days are for the clan alone.
Over the next seven days, we did exactly what was assigned. We repaired our home and made it grander. With an expansion plan in the works. The Spring hired some former administrators and Board staff to help them draft the new Fuinjutsu policy. It went into effect on the same day. I nominated my whole clan as Council Enforcers.
The clan worked on armors to arm everyone, while I went outside the village and drained Natural energy and SS to create more Yami no Reigan. And yes, I planned on draining my entire balance on them to gain 270 Tears total. To arm each man with 2. 10 on me. And 20 In clan armory as reserve. I won't need defensive measures for a long time now. It was easier and faster to make them. Way harder and time-consuming to charge them.
During this time, we laughed and played and ignored everything else. Also, we approved Fuinjutsu masters from almost all clans. Only the Kurokami were left. But from what I was told. They will come to me when I open the floor to meetings. They had been waiting for that 15 day period I had told everyone to end.
And what do you know. It's the 14th day already. Good times pass the fastest.
On the 14th day, I called a clan meeting.
