She looked at him with her limpid eyes, her lips arching up into a relaxed smile, "With you already having awakened, there is no real need for me to awaken too since you will keep me safe."
Max couldn't help but feel touched. He then pulled her into his embrace, "You are right. I'll protect you, but worry not, if you can't naturally awaken, I'll find some other way to awaken you."
"Mm. I believe you, Big Brother." Natalie nestles her face in his chest, inhaling his masculine scent, but then her nose twitched and she raised her head to look up at him.
"Big Brother… D-Did you do it with that lady, aunt Vivian, too?" She asked,
"Hm?" Max raised his brows and took a whiff of himself.
Immediately, he smelt a few feminine scents on him, but apart from Natalie and Emily's, all others were so faint that even with his heightened senses, he had almost overlooked them.
He pinched her nose and chuckled, "Were you a dog in your previous life? How come your nose is so sharp?"
