Si-Hun immediately turned sideways, and the goblin hit the hard rock wall.
"Dammit, he tricked me."
He panicked, knowing that he was alone, but he had to do something.
He thought of using a fireball charge, but he wasn't so sure if he would be able to pull it off.
He began swinging his hands in motion, trying to create a fireball.
It was hard for him.
Sweat was breaking out from his forehead. He put all his energy into that one fireball.
The goblin was trying to regain his consciousness, and Si-Hun only had a few seconds to do something.
He had never been able to make a fireball properly, but this time, he had practiced, and it kind of worked.
Right now, he needed faith in himself.
Because of trying so hard, his muscles were fatigued, but he didn't stop.
"Ughhh!"
Finally, he created the fireball without any mistakes this time.
"I made it!"
He then carefully aimed it at the dizzy goblin and put all his force in that one charge, trying not to mess up.
Then
Hush!
With one swift action, he threw the fireball at the goblin
The fireball hit the goblin, and he fell away from the impact and was burned to death by the fire.
Si-Hun stared at his palms, which had some burn marks because of the force he put into making that fireball.
Maybe it was something easy for another hunter, but for Si-Hun, it was the first time he ever successfully created a fireball.
The first time he had killed a monster by himself.
He knew there were more ahead, so he headed back and saw all the predators near the pathway were worried.
Then someone shouted
"Predator Si-Hun has survived!"
"Thank God you're okay!" Jae-Un said.
"Yu-Jun is suspended for 2 weeks because of his deadly prank. He should've been expelled, but you know who his father is; the leader didn't want to take the risk."
"What the heck!? If another predator did this, he would've straight been expelled from his team. This is so unfair! What if I died!?"
"I know, but we don't have a choice here," Jae-Un said to Si-Hun, looking down.
"Everyone! Now that Si-Hun has made it back alive, we should not worry. Let's now kill the monsters on the right pathway."
Si-Hun stayed there with Jae-Un because of his weakness after using so much power.
"Here is this recovery potion I found. Drink it, you will feel better."
"Thanks, you're always saving my butt."
"Don't say that!"
"Haha, but it' true."
"Shut up."
They were just sitting there waiting for the teammates to come back, but when they didn't, they both went to check to make sure everything was fine. When they got there, they couldn't believe their eyes.
The scene there was horrifying.
Most of their group's predators' bodies were lying lifelessly on the ground.
"What shit happened here!?" Jae-Un asked Si-Hun.
"I-I think that the examiners made a mistake while examining the gate, this is not a low-level gate, this is a potentially high-level gate..I was sensing some strange mana smell when I passed by it, but I didn't really pay attention. Look at the boss right there, he's not an elf goblin, though he looks like one, just bigger in size."
"Then what is it?"
"That is a Red-Eye Goblin, which is the most powerful goblin out of all, and he's their boss."
"What!? Will we all die here then?"
"Calm down…He won't spot us if we don't make any sound,..I'm glad I didn't go further down, or I would've been dead after all."
"Maybe..my fate is not bad, I still manage to survive every time." Si-Hun thought.
"Let's go through that passageway, Jae-Un."
"Are you crazy!? We will die if that boss or any other damn goblin spots us!"
"Are you willing to trust me, Jae-Un?" Si-Hun asked in a serious tone.
Jae-Un hesitated but agreed.
"Okay."
And then they sneakily walked toward the boss's throne, and thankfully, they did not attract any attention.
"Now, We will have to merge our powers and charge a fireball at this Red – Eye Goblin, the damage will not be that much but if we charge it at its eyes, then we can make him blind and then quickly hide or teleport, after that all of the goblins will be focused on their boss and I can..hopefully use my teleporting magic to teleport to that predator Seo-Jun, he is a hypnotizer, he can use his powers to hypnotize the Red – Eye Goblin. I think that's the reason he's still alive, by hypnotizing the goblins."
"Woah, man, you've got a sharp brain, but the plan is a little risky, but we can give it a shot."
"Yeah, this is not a time to panic, we've gotta save our team mates, they rely on us, and what good are we if we can't even f*cking try to help our team mates? And thanks for trusting me, bud," Si-Hun said while smiling a little.
