Chapter 116 - 116

Chapter 116: Sooner or later, I'll fall in love with you.

Cross didn't find Sloan's body among them, which meant that old fox Sloan was still alive.

Continue forward.

Finally, the old fox Sloan was found.

Fire Fox requested a private duel with Sloan.

At the pleading of the lickspittle Wesley, Cross granted Fire Fox's request.

Ultimately, Fire Fox killed Sloan, who hadn't taken action in a long time, at the cost of a punctured right lung lobe.

Fire Fox, lying on the ground, was struggling to breathe and continuously coughing up blood.

Wesley trembled as he held Fire Fox, his face filled with grief and sorrow, large tears gradually welling up in his eyes.

They say a man doesn't easily shed tears, but that's only because he hasn't reached the point of true heartbreak!

"No! I don't want you to die!"

"Fool!" Fire Fox smiled sadly, reaching out to touch Wesley's cheek: "Everyone dies eventually! Besides, this is my destiny. My hands are stained with the blood of too many innocents. This is my best choice!"

"No! That's not your fault, it's all because Sloan was deceiving you all, how can you be blamed? Haven't you already killed Sloan to avenge them? Look, didn't my father also kill some innocents? He didn't think about dying either!" Wesley hugged Fire Fox tightly, his voice hoarse as he roared.

Cross: "..."

Emmmmm... does this brat mean that I, Cross, am shameless, and therefore can continue to live with a clear conscience?

"Sloan was wrong, and I was also wrong." Fire Fox gently shook her head, coughing up bloody foam. She looked at Wesley pleadingly: "After I die, can you bury me next to my family?"

Wesley was choked up and couldn't speak.

Fire Fox's eyes were hazy: "I think I see them now, they're smiling at me, they've come to take me..."

As Fire Fox and the tearful Wesley were bidding their final farewells, the great physician Mo Fei walked over with an arrogant stride, and immediately gave Wesley a scalp rub.

"What are you doing?!" Wesley looked angrily at Mo Fei: "She's about to die!"

"If you keep holding her like that, I can't guarantee I can save her anymore."

"You can save her?" Wesley's eyes immediately became fawning: "How? Do you need my help?"

"Just move your butt for me, thanks." Mo Fei rolled his eyes, fed the critically injured Fire Fox a carrot, and with his near-Lv5 extraordinary medical skills and the help of the Assassin Alliance's repair fluid, he ultimately saved Fire Fox.

Unfortunately, the lickspittle Wesley didn't get everything he wanted in the end, but rather nothing. The revived Fire Fox didn't commit suicide again, but she also rejected Wesley's renewed proposal, drifting away to find the true meaning of life.

---

Under the blue sky and white clouds, in the afterglow of the setting sun, Mo Fei sat alone by the car window, watching the sunset pierce through the leaves, casting golden light in the dimness.

He was waiting for Mikayla to finish school.

They had agreed to go out together tonight for a proper date.

Sitting in the brand new Chevrolet Camaro, Mo Fei's lips curved into an unshakeable smile.

After helping Cross overturn the Assassin Alliance, Mo Fei got the thing he wanted most—the repair fluid formula.

Not only that, Mo Fei also obtained Cross's ultra-long-range sniping technique, a god-tier sniping art Cross had personally researched. Although Cross said it was difficult to learn, Mo Fei had the silly dog system, so there was nothing he couldn't learn, only things he learned slowly.

Finally, Mo Fei also acquired the most mysterious item he had obtained so far—the Loom of Fate.

Cross had wanted to destroy the Loom of Fate directly, but Mo Fei wanted to keep it as a collection. Cross let him, as the Assassin Alliance had already been cleared out, and holding the Loom of Fate alone was useless anyway.

Mo Fei, however, felt that even a piece of toilet paper had its use, and this was, after all, a mysterious item related to fate. Who knew when it might come in handy?

The Loom of Fate might be a useless item in the Assassin Alliance World of a single Universe, but this was the Marvel Universe. Who knew if it could link up with something else?

There are many seemingly perplexing super-powered individuals in the Marvel World, leaving behind many incredible things on Earth.

For example, Cyttorak, the ruler of the Crimson Cosmos, a super-powerful being whose strength crushes Dormammu and other Skyfather-level powerhouses. He left a red gem on Earth, creating Red Tank, who could go toe-to-toe with Hulk.

Chthon, the God of the Underworld, bestowed Chaos magic upon Scarlet Witch, a powerful ability comparable to the Phoenix Force, allowing Scarlet Witch to instantly destroy the entire Mutant race and beat Thanos.

What if this Loom of Fate could also be connected to some Elder Gods in the Marvel Universe, and it was actually like Red Tank's ruby, able to draw extraordinary power from it?

Things connected to fate are basically never simple.

So Mo Fei wanted to take it and study it thoroughly.

As the school bell rang, a group of energetic young students walked out of the campus in groups, laughing and chatting.

But Mo Fei stood there waiting for quite some time, yet he didn't see Mikayla.

"That doesn't make sense. Mikayla is usually the first one to rush out of the classroom, isn't she?" Mo Fei mumbled.

Fortunately, Mo Fei saw an acquaintance.

"Parker?"

Mo Fei waved at Little Spider.

Little Spider heard Mo Fei's call, looked up, saw Mo Fei, and walked over.

"I'm waiting for Mikayla here, but why hasn't she come out yet? Is something wrong?" Mo Fei asked.

"Don't even get me started. She forgot to do her homework again and was punished by the homeroom teacher to clean the Underground Room below the teaching building." Little Spider said, spreading his hands.

That word "again" was used particularly well, very vivid.

"So that's it..." Mo Fei said helplessly.

Emmmmm, he thought so. She usually ran faster than anyone else after school, so why was she so late today?

After asking Parker for the exact location of the Underground Room Mikayla was cleaning, Mo Fei went to find her.

Walking through the dimly lit corridor, Mo Fei arrived at the Underground Room door.

The door wasn't closed, and Mo Fei could still hear Mikayla's voice inside.

Smiling helplessly, Mo Fei pushed the door open.

"Creak."

The sound of the door opening startled the four people cleaning the Underground Room inside, who turned to look at the doorway.

"Uncle!" Mikayla's face lit up with surprise, and she quickly ran to Mo Fei, jumping onto him, wrapping her arms around his neck, clamping her legs around his waist, and kissing him on the cheek: "Why are you here?"

"Why am I here?" Mo Fei pinched Mikayla's delicate nose, saying annoyed: "I waited for you at the school gate for over half an hour, so why do you think I'm here? If I hadn't bumped into Parker and he told me you were punished, I'd probably still be waiting!"

Mikayla stuck out her pink tongue, smiling sheepishly and foolishly. She had been busy working on car repairs all night and had forgotten... but being punished by the teacher for not turning in homework in front of her uncle was too embarrassing.

"Oh no!" After chatting for a while, Mo Fei suddenly thought of something, and his expression abruptly changed, becoming extremely grim.

"What's wrong?" Mikayla looked at Mo Fei, puzzled.

"It's already approaching dusk. I suddenly remembered that I can't see you tonight!" Mo Fei said: "It seems I can't see you in the morning or evening, only at noon!"

"Why?" Mikayla looked at Mo Fei, pouting.

"Because... sooner or later, I'll fall in love with you!"
