Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: The Dinner Party

A box of Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans, Kael gave one to Ron, ate one himself, and the rest were all handed to Ginny.

The little girl hugged the box and thought for a moment, then jogged over to Kael's side, hoping he would help her pick out the flavors, at least to remove the dragon dung ones.

Kael fully understood Ginny's request, and then decisively refused.

Young people, after all, always have to try different things.

Besides, what is Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans' advertisement—every bite is a brand-new adventure, that's the biggest feature of the beans.

Without the surprise, can it still be called Bertie Bott's? No, that would just be Jelly Beans.

So it's not that he's lazy, it's all for Ginny's own good.

After playing on the field for a while longer, the familiar voice of Mrs. Weasley finally came from the direction of the Burrow, announcing that dinner was ready.

Everyone, whose stomachs had long been growling, hurriedly dropped the sticks in their hands and began to walk back together.

Kael walked at the forefront, with Ron following closely behind. But before taking a few steps, he was pushed aside by the suddenly rushing twins.

Caught off guard, Ron nearly fell headfirst into a nearby goblin hole, which made him very angry, glaring at Fred and George with an expression that said he was about to pounce on them if they didn't apologize.

Ron might have been serious, but unfortunately, he was doomed to get no result, because Fred and George's attention was entirely focused on Kael, and they hadn't even glanced at Ron, so they didn't know what he was thinking.

Even if they had known, they probably wouldn't have cared; they've been bullying their brother since they were young, and they know the process inside out.

Despite Ron's current furious expression, as long as he doesn't want to get beaten up, he won't rush forward. Then, after a few days, a bit of saved-up snacks will perfectly resolve this.

Then it will be brotherly love and family harmony once again.

So the most important thing now is to solve Kael's problem.

The incident in Diagon Alley last time was seen by the twins as the biggest stain on their life, and they've always wanted to regain their pride. Unfortunately, Kael hadn't left the house in the past few days, providing no opportunity for their revenge.

But if they approached him directly, it would seem too deliberate and easily arouse Kael's suspicion. So Fred and George had to suppress their desire for revenge temporarily, waiting for the right opportunity.

Like now.

Because of the addition of Chris and Kael, it was a bit crowded to eat dinner indoors, so Mrs. Weasley set up the dining table in the yard.

After Kael habitually took his usual seat, Fred suddenly flashed a look and quickly sat down beside him.

George, though unclear about Fred's plan, based on the amazing tacit understanding between them, immediately sat down on Kael's other side.

"Hmm?" Kael was a bit surprised to see this; it was his first time seeing the twins sitting separately.

Then, Kael slightly raised an eyebrow: "No good intentions, huh."

The twins' actions were so obvious that if he still didn't notice anything strange, then he would be too dull.

But because he didn't know what they were scheming, Kael didn't act rashly and continued to help Mrs. Weasley set the table as if nothing was wrong.

Soft and crispy rolls, tender baked potatoes, fragrant and juicy roast chicken, golden fried chicken nuggets, juicy veal steaks...

They're all old friends, but in terms of variety, it's definitely a sumptuous meal.

Of course, Kael didn't expect to eat anything else here, just hoping that Hogwarts' house-elves would surprise him.

He's not asking for Chinese food, French cuisine would be fine, even pasta or pizza would do.

Once the last dish was set on the table, everyone settled down, and dinner officially began.

Kael was especially cautious, fearing that he'd accidentally eat something strange.

He didn't want to experience public embarrassment.

With Kael's vigilance, nothing happened.

The twins acted as usual, eating while telling jokes to amuse everyone, with no abnormal behavior at all.

Until dinner was halfway through, at the peak of the lively atmosphere at the table.

After finishing a joke about the Slytherin greasy-haired ghost, Fred seemed to suddenly think of something, turning his head and saying, "Hey, George, Kael's going to Hogwarts tomorrow, shouldn't we give him some help? Like telling him some things to watch out for during the Sorting Ceremony, after all, it can be quite dangerous."

George immediately understood, pretending to think for a moment (actually swallowing the steak in his mouth) before cooperating and saying, "I don't think it's necessary, Fred. We have to trust Kael; he's very capable. Just a full-grown troll, I'm sure Kael can defeat it and pass the Sorting successfully."

"I think you're right, George." Fred nodded seriously and said, "And with the pride of Mr. Kael Chopper, he probably wouldn't care for our advice; he doesn't even want to call us seniors."

Fred's plan was simple: frighten Kael with tales about the Sorting Ceremony before he starts school. If it could keep him up all night, all the better.

And in this setting, not only would this prank go unchallenged, but it might even get support from the onlookers, making it the perfect opportunity.

Fred looked triumphantly at Kael, determined to settle the score from Diagon Alley.

As Fred expected, their conversation instantly piqued the interest of the nearby adults, who eagerly joined in.

The Sorting Ceremony for new students has always been a reserved topic among the wizards of the British Magical Realm; they never tire of using it to fool new generations of young wizards.

This time, it seemed to be Kael's turn.

"Dear, don't believe them." Mrs. Weasley first declared her stance, "sternly" reprimanded the twins, then looked at Kael and said, "It's not that scary, you just have to pass a test by a group of ghosts, not dangerous at all."

"Molly, how could you lie to the child?" Mr. Weasley wouldn't be left out, trying to put on a stern face, glaring at his wife and saying, "Kael is a great child, and we should tell him the truth. I believe he can handle a Hippogriff on his own."

"Hippogriff? Isn't it a Fire Dragon?"

Chris was slightly taken aback, then decisively told Kael, "Son, trust your dad, it's definitely a Fire Dragon. And I suspect this year it might be the Hungarian Horntail."

"Oh, I see."

"Hmm, yes, I can."

"I believe you, Dad."

Like a nodding machine, Kael echoed everyone's words, showing the appropriate expressions.

Relief for Mrs. Weasley.

Firmness for Mr. Weasley.

And hesitation for his own dad.

Poor magic world, what's the entertainment here? Just Quidditch and fooling kids. It's their bit of fun, so why not play along and put on a little show? It's not hard.

Everyone's satisfied now, how nice is that.

The whole table was filled with joy and harmony, no one noticing the two helpless figures shivering in the corner.
