Land of Rain, Six Paths City.
Sasori woke up from his sleep, listening to the pitter-patter of rain outside, his brow slightly furrowed.
The persistent drizzling rain made Sasori, who was already in a bad mood, even more irritable.
He tiptoed to the door, slowly opened it a bit, and cautiously observed his surroundings.
After confirming that there were no suspicious ninjas watching him, Sasori closed the door and returned to the bed, continuing to try to extract Chakra and break the seal technique within him.
Ten minutes later, Sasori opened his eyes, his delicate face showing undeniable disappointment.
"His seal technique is actually so powerful, it not only has strong binding capabilities but can also be maintained continuously," Sasori said, frowning.
Sosuke's seal technique was stronger than Sasori had anticipated.
He originally thought that with his abilities, relying on time to wear it down, breaking the seal was only a matter of time; he didn't expect that after more than two months, there would be no progress at all.
Sasori rubbed his tightly locked brow and fell into deep thought.
If there's no way to lift the seal on his body, even if he escaped from Six Paths City, he wouldn't be able to continue his revenge, nor could he even protect himself properly.
If a ninja cannot use Chakra, then he's not a ninja.
How could he, who is not a ninja, possibly kill Hatake Kakashi? One must know that Hatake Kakashi is not only a ninja but also a genius ninja.
"Could it be that I really have to wait to be released by the Ninja Sect in ten years?" Sasori clenched his fist, his face full of unwillingness.
If, in the end, he could successfully take revenge, waiting ten years would be entirely acceptable for Sasori.
But now there is a problem, after ten years, the success rate of his revenge will greatly decrease.
Because in these ten years, Sasori would have been unable to cultivate or study Puppetry, while Hatake Kakashi could continue to cultivate and grow stronger.
With this increasing disparity, when Sasori is released by the Ninja Sect in ten years, whether he can successfully take revenge is an unknown.
If he could definitely take revenge, not just ten years, even being imprisoned for twenty years, Sasori could accept it.
But just thinking about the impact on his revenge makes Sasori extremely irritable in just two months.
Sasori looked at the clock hanging on the wall, it was already 6:40, ten minutes till breakfast starts, and forty minutes till breakfast ends.
In the past, Sasori would have gone to the cafeteria around this time because if you go earlier, you don't have to wait in long lines; Sasori hated queuing.
But now Sasori didn't want to move, he had lost his appetite; his mind was full of thoughts about lifting the seal and taking revenge.
No matter how much Sasori thought or tried, he couldn't do anything about the seal within him.
After experiencing numerous failures, Sasori lay on the bed staring blankly at the ceiling, not knowing what he was thinking about.
Knock knock.
After who knows how long, there was a knock on the wooden door of Sasori's room.
Sasori ignored the knocks, continuing to lie on the bed looking at the ceiling.
Bam!
Because Sasori wouldn't open the door, Nagato directly forced the door open forcefully.
After the door opened, Nagato's eyes quickly scanned the room, and he sighed in relief upon seeing that Sasori was just lying on the bed and that there was no suspicious red liquid around.
"Why didn't you eat breakfast or go to work? Today is not a rest day," Nagato quietly asked Sasori.
Six Paths City doesn't support idlers, prisoners need to work.
Sasori didn't answer Nagato's question, just continued to stare at the ceiling.
"You know, doing this is pointless; it will just prolong your sentence," Nagato continued.
He knew Sasori wanted to leave the Ninja Sect as soon as possible to take revenge.
Upon hearing the words about prolonging his sentence, Sasori finally moved, turning his head to look at Nagato and eventually sitting up.
"I want to see Sosuke," Sasori said firmly.
Sasori was impulsive by nature, but he was not a reckless person; he knew resisting the Ninja Sect would only worsen his situation.
Not eating breakfast or going to work was not just due to his irritability; he also wanted to have a dialogue with the Ninja Sect.
Although Sasori's current status destined him to be in an unequal position with the Ninja Sect, Sasori possessed a unique Human Puppet Technique in the whole Ninja World.
Initially, Sasori believed he could escape, so he didn't think about trading with the Ninja Sect.
But now Sasori realized that Sosuke's seal technique was absurdly strong, and not negotiating hugely affected his revenge plan.
"Sosuke-sensei is not someone you can meet whenever you want," Nagato did not agree.
He was the only one who knew Mokgetsu's identity and knew how busy Mokgetsu was; he couldn't possibly trouble Mokgetsu voluntarily.
"If you have something, you can tell me."
If Sasori really had something that required contact with Mokgetsu, Nagato would report it to Mokgetsu.
"Do you have the authority to restore my freedom? Or can you help me lift the seal technique?" Sasori asked.
"No, I can't," Nagato replied cleanly and decisively.
He did not have the authority to release prisoners, nor did he have the ability to lift Mokgetsu's seal.
Sasori let out a mocking smile, "Then what's the use of talking to you?"
He didn't expect Nagato to nod in agreement; Sasori just wanted to sneer at Nagato.
The reason being, Sasori hated Nagato.
If Nagato hadn't injured and captured him, he might have already attempted and succeeded in a second assassination.
To Sasori, Nagato was the number one enemy disrupting his grand revenge plan; how could Sasori not hate Nagato for that?
"If it really is something important, I'll inform Sosuke-sensei," Nagato ignored Sasori's sneer and answered indifferently.
"Of course, it's something very important; after all, this concerns the most significant matter of my life—revenge," Sasori emphasized.
Another reason Sasori hated Nagato was that Nagato wanted him to let go of his hatred.
