Chapter 191 - Chapter 97: Strolling Among the Stars, Enchanted Sorrows (Part 2)

Although Hagrid lost his qualifications and academic status as a wizard due to Voldemort's framing and persecution in his youth, this also made him one of the wealthiest people at Hogwarts.

It seems this is the case throughout the Wizarding World — unicorn tail hair can be sold for 10 Galleons each on the black market, and what does Hagrid usually do with them?

He uses them as bandages for wrapping wounds. So, although Hagrid's little hut is just a wooden house, it's filled with various valuable materials inside.

"Professor Hagrid! I'm Ian Prince, do you remember me? When I enrolled this year by the Black Lake, you praised me as your favorite little pal."

Ian held up the cookies and large bread, facing the half-blood giant who was over three meters tall, he seemed like a little chick in front of Hagrid.

"Oh oh, yes, of course, I remember you, hahaha, you're the only one who calls me professor, little guy." Hagrid accepted Ian's gifts with a delighted expression.

"I can't believe you brought me gifts! This is so touching!" Hagrid's large hand went to Ian's head once again, the potential threat of the skull cap was as intense as ever.

He might indeed be moved, but Ian was a little afraid to move.

"I've even brought a snack for your dog, it's still growing and needs to eat a lot of meat." Ian felt his hair, after being tousled by the half-blood giant, could directly become a chicken coop for raising hens, and he hurriedly took advantage of Hagrid wiping his nose to take the backpack full of meat off his back and hand it over.

"You even thought of Yaya! My goodness! Dumbledore often tells me you're a good kid, and I think Dumbledore is definitely not wrong!"

Hagrid became teary-eyed.

Ian clearly gained Hagrid's full favor.

"I just don't have anything to give you in return, perhaps you would like a Rock Skin Cake?" Hagrid wanted to go inside to get something but hesitated, not wanting to open the doorway he blocked with his body.

Probably worried the little wizard would think him rude, he nervously explained his actions using the "dangerously cute" evil dog that had already hidden under the bed.

"Yaya is a Neapolitan Mastiff, very ferocious, yes, very ferocious, and it really hates strangers, yes yes, that's right... so I'm worried it might hurt you." Hagrid was clearly not an adept liar, his words downright violated all lying taboos.

His eyes wandered, language repeated, movements were unnatural, and most critically, he even rubbed his nose, even if Ian didn't possess the Extraordinary Traits of Thought Perception, he could tell Hagrid was lying.

"It's okay, I won't go in, and I'm not hungry now anyway." Ian didn't want to strain his teeth, nor did he want to make things difficult for Hagrid. "I just wanted to ask for your help, hoping you can take me to the Forbidden Forest to find some materials, I need some Hypericum and belladonna essence, as well as unicorn saliva."

It's well known that the Forbidden Forest is like the backyard of the four founders, it has everything. Ian could certainly go in and search himself, but he was not as familiar with the various distributions in the forest as a local would be. If Hagrid could serve as a guide, finding the needed materials might save a lot of time.

"Kid, first-year students are not allowed in the Forbidden Forest, it's extremely dangerous, even for adult wizards, there are creatures inside that could easily kill them." Hearing the words Forbidden Forest, Hagrid's expression instantly turned serious, he most needed to guard against little wizards curious about the Forbidden Forest.

As he spoke, Hagrid placed Ian's gift on the shelf at the door of his hut and returned the backpack to Ian, always blocking the door with his body during the process.

"I just need some materials to make potions." Ian quickly adopted a pitiful expression, "I have some special potion homework to complete, and if I can't, I might be doomed. You know, some potion teachers really don't care about reasoning."

Ian wasn't lying.

The art of language lies in ambiguous truths.

"Of course it's Snape! He'll definitely give you detention! Dumbledore says he's your uncle, but I bet this guy cares least about family!" Hagrid's face was full of indignation, he had no fondness for Snape and felt immediate sympathy for Ian being "picked on."

"I still can't take you to the Forbidden Forest, it's Hogwarts rules, but I can help you gather things from the forest, as long as you stay obediently in the pumpkin patch over there." Hagrid stepped out of the hut door, not waiting for Ian to see inside, he quickly turned and closed the door.

"Alright, no problem."

Ian mused.

He followed obediently as Hagrid led him to the pumpkin patch surrounding the hut. With Halloween approaching, it was already filled with pumpkins seemingly pumped with growth hormones.

"Seriously, my dog is very ferocious, you better not think about sneaking in, it will definitely bite you." Hagrid, carrying a few large buckets towards the Forbidden Forest, still reminded Ian uneasily.
