The silver creature swept across the night sky like lightning, with the hound guarding the students on the train while the eagle soared into the sky, diving down to shatter the Dementors' bodies.
Countless Dementors finally began to retreat, their elusive figures blending into the darkness, gradually disappearing.
The lights inside the train flickered for a moment before suddenly brightening, and the surrounding temperature began to rise rapidly.
Cheers erupted on the train, with many people leaning out of the windows, vigorously waving at Professor Abigail.
"Professor, Professor! You came to save us!"
Lower-grade students cried excitedly.
"Professor Abigail, did you receive the message I sent? You came so quickly!"
A few students excitedly ran off the train, surrounding Abigail and continually expressing how scared they were earlier, thanking her for the timely assistance.
"Amazing, Professor! That eagle is so cool!"
These were students from far away who were unclear of the situation, only seeing Abigail standing outside the train.
"The eagle is Vid's Guardian God! The Doberman is Professor Abigail's."
A Ravenclaw student loudly corrected, with a face full of pride.
Many students started shouting Vid's name even louder—
"Vid! Vid! Vid!"
The Weasley Twins led the chants for a while, then stretched out their hands, attempting to lift Vid up, but Vid waved his Magic Wand, and a gust of wind blew by, pushing everyone back a step.
Vid pointed his Magic Wand at his throat and said, "Get back on the train, lest those creatures come and attack again. They are drawn to happiness, so it's best to remain quiet and calm."
Under the influence of magic, Vid's voice sounded incredibly loud, like rolling thunder, echoing through every corner of the train.
Interrupting someone's celebration isn't very pleasant, but the students who had just faced the Dementors quickly recalled the fear and despair they felt moments ago, and everyone was quite receptive.
The students who had rushed off the train quickly gathered around Professor Abigail and returned to the train.
Students gestured with "shhh" hand signs to each other, and a few Gryffindors deliberately covered the twins' mouths.
The relaxed smiles on everyone's faces vanished, replaced by tension and dread, the overcast sky feeding their ominous imaginations.
— The shadows occasionally passing through the clouds, could they be Dementors still lingering nearby?
Fortunately, the train didn't malfunction, and with a long whistle, the wheels began to turn again slowly, with puffs of white mist emanating from the chimney at the front.
"Clank, clank, clank..."
The sound of the wheels colliding with the tracks brought a sense of comfort.
The silver eagle flew back, soaring from the front to the back of the train. Some students instinctively reached out to touch it and were astonished at the sensation they felt at their fingertips.
"It's very, very advanced magic..." Penelope admired, "A corporeal Guardian God is extremely rare."
The silver eagle flew through the corridor, leaving behind a trail of silver mist that dispelled the residual chill in everyone's heart.
They watched this Guardian God fly all the way to Vid's side, the bird slightly lowered its head and gently touched Vid's cheek with its forehead.
Vid patted its wings, pointed at Harry, and the Guardian God understood.
It flew over, landed on Harry, and briefly covered his head with its wing.
Harry opened his eyes, drenched in cold sweat, showing an extremely distressed expression.
The eagle transformed into silver mist and vanished in an instant.
"Hey, buddy, how are you?" Ron squeezed through the crowd, helping Harry sit up, and asked, "Are you okay?"
Others gathered around, concernedly looking at him.
"I-I'm fine." Harry gasped, glanced around, and asked, "Where did those monsters go?"
"They ran away." Hermione said, "Vid and Professor Abigail drove them away."
Harry looked at Vid, then quickly moved his gaze away, asking, "Did anyone fall victim?"
"What?" The crowd looked at each other, then said, "No one was hurt... just a few fainted, but everyone is alive."
"That's good..." Harry, seeing everyone confused, felt the need to explain, "I heard terrifying screams just now..."
The crowd was puzzled.
When the Dementors appeared, indeed, some students had screamed in terror, but they felt the sound was a bit far from being "terrifying."
But considering Harry might be trying to cover up for fainting, everyone tactfully chose not to expose him.
"Have some chocolate." Neville offered his chocolate frog to him, saying, "My grandma says, whatever happens, eating a piece of chocolate will make you feel much better."
"Thanks, Neville."
Harry took the chocolate but didn't eat it, instead looking at Vid, ashamed, saying, "Sorry, I couldn't... I couldn't summon my Guardian God just now."
He had been learning the Patronus Charm from Remus for a long time and had managed to summon something barely noticeable in shape, like a horse or a deer, though the form was somewhat insubstantial.
Harry knew his Patronus Charm was inferior to Vid's, but he hadn't expected that he couldn't help at all, even fainting embarrassingly.
He saw Ginny—though pale, with tears in her eyes, she remained steadfastly standing.
But Harry himself felt weak all over, his body trembling uncontrollably, cold sweat streaming down his forehead.
Holding the chocolate frog, Harry felt awkward and wished desperately to find a hole to disappear into.
