Chapter 422 - Chapter 115: Return to the Island

——What happened?

Hearing this question, Vid also wanted to ask: What's on my face?

Why does everyone who sees him ask this.

He instinctively reached out to touch his face again, finding no wounds or traces of blood.

He looked down at himself, his clothes were intact, aside from being a bit wrinkled from the rain, everything seemed fine, just like usual.

"Let's talk about it later."

Before Vid could explain, Madam Pomfrey said coldly, suppressing her anger, "I've already used the Guardian God to inform the other deans."

She said this while pacing around the room, trying to disperse the anger and frustration within her chest.

She completely forgot there was another patient in the room.

Vid turned his head, inadvertently seeing a head poking out from the bed curtains, resembling a hamster poking out of a hole.

It was Astoria, Daphne's sister.

Vid vaguely remembered she would marry Draco Malfoy in the future.

Their eyes met, and the child was startled, hurriedly raising a finger, pleading with him not to give her away with her exaggerated expressions.

Vid turned away, pretending he hadn't seen anything.

This ward could hold more than a dozen beds, so far away, Astoria in the corner might not hear much.

Even if she did hear, knowing the dangers of this world and being more vigilant in the future wouldn't be a bad thing.

While waiting for the others to arrive, Professor Snape mentally went through the troublemakers from his House.

Seeing Madam Pomfrey and Vid, then thinking about the precious Magic Potions about to leave his storeroom, Snape instinctively recalled Draco Malfoy's previous attack incident.

Hmm, Malfoy is still in the sky fighting for the Golden Snitch with Potter! Thank Merlin it's not the two of them causing trouble.

As for the others...

Flint, Worlington, Montague... are all competing on the field.

Emmanuel is in the stands, with Oswald beside him... Wasn't Trey missing? Crabbe has been restless lately, but he shouldn't have the guts...

Snape thought back and forth but still couldn't grasp the situation.

The Slytherin dean silently walked to Vid's side, arms crossed, robes billowing, not looking at him, just slightly leaning in his direction.

Vid: "..."

——You fear Madam Pomfrey, don't you think I fear her too?

After a moment of silence, he covered his lips with his hand and whispered, "It's not Slytherin, it's related to the previous disappearance of underage wizards..."

Snape's eyes slightly brightened, then seeing Madam Pomfrey's expression, his face darkened again.

Soon, Professor McGonagall, Professor Flitwick, and Professor Sprout hurried in, faces full of confusion.

"Pomfrey, the match isn't over yet, why urgently summon us?" asked Professor McGonagall.

She was an avid Quidditch fan; today's match was between Gryffindor College and their arch-enemy Slytherin. If not for Madam Pomfrey's urgent summons, Professor McGonagall would have definitely refused to leave the field.

At this moment, all four deans looked at Madam Pomfrey.

Madam Pomfrey, however, nodded at Vid.

"It's like this..."

Vid had to repeat what he said earlier.

Due to the urgency, this time he spoke more concisely, but luckily, everyone could understand.

After listening, the professors' anger was no less than Madam Pomfrey's.

"I'll go with you too," said Professor Snape briefly, scoffing, "I want to see those Muggles daring to use wizards as experimental materials are so formidable."

"Don't forget, according to Vid's observations, most of the victims were actually Muggles," sighed Professor Flitwick, drawing out his Magic Wand, "I'm going too."

"I'll go along," said Professor Sprout, tears welling up with anger and sadness. Seeing Professor McGonagall about to speak, she quickly said, "Oh, Minerva, don't fight me on this — someone has to stay at the school."

Professor McGonagall was the deputy headmaster, having to bear more responsibilities than others.

So she had to regretfully abandon her prior intention, nodding, "I will immediately send a message to the Ministry of Magic and Scrimgeour; maybe they still need to contact the Muggle Government to coordinate the placement of those children."

She was a rational and fair person, understanding how vast the Muggle community was; even if some committed horrific crimes, it didn't mean all Muggles had to bear that sin.

Afterwards, Professor McGonagall waved her Magic Wand, and within seconds, four well-maintained brooms flew in through a narrow window.

"These are my own collection, very stable and fast," said Professor McGonagall as she handed them to the other professors, "Take these, you'll find them useful."

The others also used the Summoning Charm to call for their usable items. Except for Professor Snape's small box, the others used snakeskin bags.

It was evident that the professors at the Magic School had treasure chests of unknown capacity; only they seldom took them out, setting an example for students.

Vid hesitated—students applying for all elective courses would receive a Time Turner; amongst professors, this shouldn't be a secret.

The only uncertainty was Madam Pomfrey, but judging by her earlier attitude, maybe Madam Pomfrey was aware too.

Vid turned away from the patient bed, took out the Time Turner from beneath his clothing, gave it a shake, and asked, "Professors, Madam Pomfrey, you're aware of this, right?"
