The little kids all looked puzzled, and beside them, Sora Shiunin was already starting to sweat.
This is… Muto Yugi, the Duel King's duel?

"He didn't Summon anything at all, what is this big brother even doing?" The little girl watching asked in confusion.

Two pillars of light rose up beside Sakaki Yuya, and then a golden cobra and a giant card appeared within the light, swaying amidst a dazzling rainbow.

"Swing, Soul Spirit Pendulum, and draw an arc of Hikari across the sky!"
A huge pendant appeared in the sky, slowly moving from left to right, then swinging back from right to left.

"Come forth, my Monsters!"
"LV 7, Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon; LV 4, Performapal Gold Fang!"
Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon, LV 7, Dark Attribute, Dragon-Type, Attack Power 2500, Pendulum Monster.
Performapal Gold Fang, LV 4, Light Attribute, Beast-Type, Attack Power 1800.
Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon had a massive blade-like wing on each side of its body, and the colors of its eyes were different from each other, making it look overwhelmingly formidable.

Sora Shiunin was rather exasperated with their optimism.

But then, Sakaki Yuya suddenly jumped onto Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon's back and called out to Muto Yugi: "This is my Pendulum Summon—"
"Seeing a Pendulum Summon in person, feeling it up close, it really is a lot of fun." Yugi couldn't help clapping with a smile.
"Haah…" Yet in response to that praise, Sakaki Yuya didn't look all that happy. "Pendulum Summon isn't something I alone possess… It won't be long before everyone has Pendulum Cards…"
He was a little dejected, but still forced himself to cheer up again, commanding his Monsters: "Then, Battle Phase—Silver Claw Wolf attacks.
When Silver Claw Wolf declares an attack, activate its effect. Until the end of the Battle Phase, the ATK of 'Performapal' Monsters on your field increases by 300 points."

"Whoa, it went up even more!"

The three Monsters rushed toward Yugi together. In midair, Silver Claw Wolf pulled off a flashy acrobatic move, which made Yugi chuckle despite himself, but he didn't forget the Duel: "Toy Box's effect."
"Eh?"
"Once per turn, when an opponent's Monster declares an attack, you can send 1 face-down card you control to the Graveyard to activate this effect. Destroy that opponent's Monster."
Toy Box spun its box-shaped body, and a plastic soldier shot out from inside, slamming into Silver Claw Wolf. With an "oof," the wolf turned into motes of light.
"Oh—so that's what that box is for." Sakaki Yuya suddenly understood.
"So the toys are actually cannonballs used to protect the box? Whoa, that's so cool…" The little kids chattered joyfully.
"It's not over yet." Yugi smiled and continued, "Toy Soldier's effect: When this card in the Spell and Trap Zone is sent to the Graveyard, you can activate this effect. Special Summon this card."
A pile of jigsaw pieces spewed out of Toy Box, quickly fitting together into a cute little soldier.

"Toy Soldier's effect: When this card is Summoned·Special Summoned, you can activate this effect. Add 1 'Toy Box' from your Deck to your Hand Card. If you already have Toy Box on your field, you can instead add 1 Light Attribute LV 4 Monster from your Deck to your Hand Card."
The Duel Disk on Yugi's left hand processed the effect automatically; several cards flew out from the Deck. He looked over them for a bit, hesitating.
"I'll… add Silent Magician to my Hand Card." After a moment's thought, Yugi picked one card and added it to his hand.
