Tohru wasn't faring much better on the other side. She had never imagined a human could contend with her in raw strength.
Similarly, she felt the force from the other side of the arm wrestle was immense. If she slackened even for a moment, she would lose.
"I... I acknowledge you, human!"
"But I absolutely will not lose! I am Tohru-sama of the dragon race!"
Tohru roared angrily, the power within her body surging violently. Magical energy gushed out recklessly. The ground sank sharply, and the two of them sank into it.
Even so, their hands remained locked together, each trying to overpower the other.
Feeling the increasingly powerful force from the opposite side, Yusei focused his mind. The dark clouds in the sky flashed with thunder once more.
Countless bolts of lightning poured into Yusei's body, causing the Susanoo, which had dimmed slightly from energy consumption, to brighten again, its power surging once more.
Tohru's expression changed, and she hurriedly stabilized her arm.
"Damn it! I didn't expect you to have a move like this! You can replenish your energy anytime, anywhere?"
"It's within the rules. Before the match, I said we would use one hundred percent of our power," Yusei said with a laugh.
With a continuous energy supply, and a massive one each time, Tohru, relying on her body to absorb magical energy from the air, simply couldn't keep up.
Moreover, the magical energy in this world was relatively sparse, making absorption even slower.
Watching herself gradually being forced down, a fierce glint flashed in Tohru's eyes.
"You... said, use all our power, right?"
Before Yusei could finish speaking, a red energy blast shot towards him at close range.
Yusei possessed the Sharingan. The energy gathering in her mouth naturally couldn't escape his notice.
His powerful visual perception allowed Yusei to simply tilt his head and avoid Tohru's attack.
The mountain far behind Yusei wasn't so lucky. Tohru's energy blast hit it, instantly vaporizing the entire mountain.
The tremendous noise and the shaking of the earth indicated that the power of that single strike was enough to destroy a city.
"Hey! Are you trying to kill me, you stupid dragon?" Yusei complained, feeling a bit shaken.
Although he wouldn't die from a direct hit, it would definitely be unpleasant.
"Hmph! You said one hundred percent power! This time, I'm going to win! I need to set a good example for Kanna!"
As she spoke, energy began gathering in Tohru's mouth again.
Annoyed, Yusei used his other Susanoo's arm to press down directly on Tohru's head.
Tohru's mouth snapped shut, and the energy blast shot downwards into the ground beneath them.
Both Yusei and Tohru froze for a moment. They wanted to get away, but neither wanted to admit defeat, and their hands were still locked.
In that moment of hesitation, the fully formed energy blast exploded directly beneath them.
Boom!
Red, world-ending energy enveloped the two of them. The intense energy at such close range even caused cracks to appear in Kanna's magical barrier.
Kanna frowned slightly and flew a bit higher. She wasn't adept at defensive dragon magic, and providing this level of protection was her limit, so she could only increase the distance.
Kaguya and Shiro watched with concern as Yusei was engulfed by the explosion, their hearts anxious, desperately wanting to see if he was okay.
The explosion didn't last long. When the smoke cleared from the massive circular crater, a blue energy warrior and a giant dragon were still there, locked in their contest of strength.
Kaguya breathed a sigh of relief but looked somewhat helplessly at the human and dragon below.
'An arm wrestling match had escalated to this point. Why didn't they just agree to a draw and call it quits?'
The battered Tohru shouted at Yusei, "Give up! You can't win against me!"
Yusei retorted disdainfully, "Do you have any strength left? I can continuously replenish my lightning power. It's you who can't win against me!"
Tohru's draconic pride flared up, "A mere human...!"
"Ha? You've been getting pretty arrogant lately, Tohru. Do you know I have to make my own breakfast every morning when I wake up?" Yusei shouted back angrily.
"What does that have to do with me!"
"You know exactly what it has to do with you! You're the maid in this house! Isn't making breakfast your job? And also, I'm the one who does the laundry, even your maid uniform!"
"I'm so busy every day, can't you share the load a little?" Tohru's voice weakened a bit, as if she felt her reason wasn't entirely justified, but she remained stubborn.
"Then how do you explain sleeping in until eleven every day? What kind of maid sleeps until eleven? Anywhere else, you'd have been fired long ago!"
"Hmph. Getting enough sleep is the secret to a woman's youth!" Tohru turned her head away with a snort.
Dragons naturally didn't need sleep to maintain their youth. She must have read that in some magazine, but she forgot which one.
Yusei was infuriated by Tohru's excuses.
Thinking about his daily early mornings, seeing the empty dining table and feeling like crying, and there was never a prepared bento for school either.
Because of that, he had to eat the lovingly made bentos Asuna brought every day, which made him started to feel embarrassed about it.
Yusei didn't waste more words. He snorted.
"Anyway, you're definitely losing. I'll finish you off in one go."
As he spoke, two additional massive arms grew from the back of the Susanoo. A bow and an arrow formed from lightning materialized in them. Drawing the bow and nocking the arrow were done in one fluid motion.
Tohru noticed the immense energy concentrated right in front of her. This was the purest power of the world's lightning.
Even Tohru had to admit that taking a direct hit would probably cost her half her life.
Not daring to be careless, Tohru also gathered her most powerful energy blast in her mouth.
Blue and red, poised like needle against spearhead, seemed ready to erupt at any moment.
Kanna, sensing the destructive power brewing between the two, quickly flew down.
"Yusei! Tohru-sama! Stop fighting! You're just arm wrestling!"
Tohru snorted, "Who told this guy not to admit defeat?"
"Because you can't possibly win. What, want to test that?" The blue lightning arrow was nocked on the bowstring, ready to be fired at any moment.
"Let's test it then!"
Kanna looked speechlessly at the human and the dragon. She couldn't help but say, "Even if you want to fight, you don't have to do it while still arm wrestling, do you? Like this, you can't even run away."
'Uh... that was indeed a problem.'
But the proud Tohru, and Yusei, who wanted Tohru to properly learn her duties as a maid, still didn't let go.
Neither wanted to lose.
