And so it started. I can't even remember what came first, what memory was going through my mind before a noise I'd never even heard before caused my eyes to blink open sluggishly. Like I was buried in tar.
First thing that I noticed was how my hearing was so acute yet my vision was murky, like I was trying to see through water with minimal lighting. Everything was way to loud yet it was like trying to distinguish between a mish mash of colours that a painter could have just poured on a canvas and then tried to wipe away or smear haphazardly with a brush.
Giving up on trying to make out any semblance of shapes in the nausea inducing swirls I close my eyes again and try to figure out what all the noise was and what exactly caught my attention in the beginning. There it was again. It sounded like roars and wood smashing together, metal colliding and screams. "Where the hell am I? Some weird movie? Wait .. What's a movie again? Why can't I remember anything? No, forget about that for a moment, what is going on? Now I smell something both comforting and disgusting and scary. Where do I know those smells? Ah crap, fire. That's not good. I don't even want to figure out the disgusting thing. It smells too gross. Can I see yet? Let's try again. . . .. AHH there we go that's a bit better, at least I can now see a little better. I think those are stars. So we now know it's night time. Great. I'm outside at night, nothing weird there ... Not. Where's the fire, need to figure out if it's going to cause me trouble since I feel like I have no body just a head so far. Uuuuggghhhh and that head hurts like hell, first focus on what's around, then figure out the rest, come on I can do this. Yes, finally moved my head and oh sugar plum fairies why the hell am I in the middle of a burning forest. Did I do something to piss someone off???Ok, there's that weird sound again, is it some kind of animal?" Rolling my eyes since the stupid watermelon head refused to move I finally spot a huge black blur moving across the open area nearby "ooookkkkkayyyy then, if that is some huge ass creature, I'm definitely going to die. What the heck is that big?" Trying to force myself to remember something at least I finally get blurry images of watching a movie with dinosaurs and that seems to match up with the size of that shadow thing. "Whelp... Crap. Hopefully it's a vegan." I joke to myself. Closing my eyes I try and blend into the ground and make myself as unappealing and unappetising as possible whilst trying to kickstart my brain into working out why the heck I can't move or remember anything about how I ended up here.
