With a mother like Marianne and a friend like Dean, no wonder he was at his wits' end. Still, much of the responsibility rests with him. If he weren't such a dishonest coward, perhaps things could have gone better.
Speaking of Dean, he continues to struggle against the odds for people he thinks are important to him. For a moment, it seemed as if his will would be crushed for good. He had all but given up when a familiar face swooped in to save him. What was that? Her timing was too good, and your enjoyment of Dean's suffering was ruined? Worry not, Addi's appearance won't make much of a difference in the end. In fact, her presence just might serve to undo Dean for good. We'll just have to wait and see.
