Corvin with Kyra attached to him his arm begins to walk down the street towards the city center to address the people of the city and his legion. They both take in the surrounding area, the aftermath of the assault. The very atmosphere seems to have shifted already to one of order and mysticism, that feeling of oppression seeming to have dissipated yet still a reminder remains. Some legionaries are patrolling the streets and remain on sentry duty a top the walls, the ones Corvin and Kyra pass bow and salute to him in respect and awe. They all saw him tear down the gates alone, saw his might be unleashed how he affected the very skies, and the massive Unkindness that had gathered above. Their reverence bordered worship.
As Corvin and Kyra began to enter the city center where a massive square devoid of building except for a central fountain, Garrus and Veridian were there already. Garrus voiced out with command: Hail to the Raven Lord! Himself, Veridian and any legionaries in the square gave a bellow and kneeled in reverence for this was the ruler they chose to follow. The one that led them to victory himself. Yet there was also a solemness surrounding the square, twelve legionaries were laid to the side as they were in killed in the battle. The only losses they suffered yet each felt the loss personally as they weren't just brothers in arms but also many were enslaved together or from the same villages. Each Legionnaire felt it as a personal loss.
Corvin went to each dead legionnaire placing his hand on each head, seeming to give prayer to each one. Corvin then ascend the make shit stage in the center with Kyra, his face resolute as he will always remember each one lost in his name, and in his cause. Corvin looked upon all the people along with Kyra whom was perfectly restored, her ears twitching a living testament to the rot purged. He addressed the crowd.
"The corruption of the Trazarch Trade Union is dead! Their depravity and love of coin have been dismantled here in this city! Today, this rot has been replaced with absolute truth and order. No longer are you subjected to their abuses; you are the foundation of a new world!"
Corvin paused, letting the magnitude of moment settle into their very being. He placed a hand on Kyra's shoulder presenting her to the world.
"This woman" he proclaimed, his voice resonating with absolute authority. " Is the living proof of the Union's malice, and the living proof of my power. They broke her body, bruised it, defiled it. I have restored her. She is cleansed. She is the first of many is the first of many who will find sanctuary in the certainty of my rule!"
"This city", he declared, "is hereby renamed Obsidios Iubeo- The command of Obsidian and it is the foundation of our dominion! I proclaim the birth of THE NYX IMPERIUM!"
The declaration was meant with a resounding applause shaking the city square. Every man woman and child was given a choice. They could leave and never looked back or pledge loyalty to Corvin and the Imperium becoming citizens of the Nyx Imperium. All knelt swearing fealty as leaving was either trying to get out of the country risking recapture and slavery once again or death from the Union or other threats. The visible proof of Kyra's restoration, the threat of retribution made the choice easy to make. Hundreds of citizens pledged fealty to the Nyx Imperium. Now the screening would be begin to see what skills everyone had and who would be willing to serve the Legion. They all saw how just under nine hundred soldiers took the town.
As the shouting died down Corvin addressed one last issue, the death of the twelve Legionnaires. "And to the loss of our twelve legionaries their names shall be immortalized on the the very tower of the keep itself! We will all remember their service, their ultimate sacrifice to our cause. Their families will be treated with the same honors they will be." Again the square erupted in applause, this showed that they cared for their people, for their soldiers.
There was much work to be done, even more work than building Obsidios Lithos because there was many building that needed to be torn down to begin construction however luckily there were already walls and housing that will slowly be converted over into the dark obsidian stone Lithos is built of. As the screening began any skilled laborers were already assigned to clearing the square to prepare for the construction of the very same keep in the center of Lithos. The sooner Obsidios Iubeo was constructed the further Corvin's influence and domain would spread, and also increasing his personal might even further.
Anyone willing to join the legion was immediately set to training under the individual captains in the city, the number totaling is around six hundred new recruits divvying twenty men to each company under a Captain. Increasing the total legion strength to 1788 to account for the 12 legionnaires lost. Messengers were also sent to Lithos for Obel's most trusted masons to be sent to Iubeo to help train the new laborers and begin construction. A company would be sent with them and trade positions with a company in Lithos, while also taking seventy new recruits to Lithos to begin training under their Captains. Veridian would also go back with them so as to take command of Lithos.
While everything was set into motions all new citizens who have accepted Corvin's rule now fell under the Obsidios Ordo feeling a profound sense of Order and Security in which accepting a minor brand of the Raven Mark. A new mark identifying those as regular citizens and all new recruiting receive basic marks upon the back of their necks to be added into the Flock Link.
The city center was now beginning to be cleared of a one hundred by hundred perimeter for the keep foundation laying. The true expansion and rise of the Nyx Imperium has begun. Personal matters still need to be taken care of so Kyra can finally move forward from her past.
