City Lord's Mansion
Kira had the moon rabbits settled in. Their efficiency was insane. In just a short while, they'd already restored most of the mansion, and every one of them had changed into maid uniforms.
And honestly… it looked legit.
Later, Matsuyoi took Kaguya to rest, leaving Kira alone.
"It hasn't even been that long…"
"And the mansion's already almost fully restored."
"If I'd known, I wouldn't have bothered hiring anyone."
Seated in the newly renovated study, Kira looked at the shelves lined with ancient books emitting a faint, flowing light.
These were all brought from the Lunar Capital.
Eirin Yagokoro had collected a ridiculous amount of ancient texts. Back in the mythic era, she had traveled through countless mythologies, gathering treasures and books from different countries.
"Alright… let's take a look."
He muttered and began reading one book after another. Knowledge surged into his mind like a flood.
At the same time, new traits began to form—only to immediately get absorbed into [Master of All Martial Arts] as soon as they appeared.
That entire night—
Kira devoured those books like a starving wolf. He didn't sleep at all, greedily absorbing every piece of knowledge.
He didn't skim like a fanfic reader. He carefully read everything, including Eirin's notes and annotations, which were incredibly enlightening.
...
The next morning, Matsuyoi got up to prepare breakfast—only to find everything already cleaned and meals prepared.
"Lady Matsuyoi."
A moon rabbit bowed respectfully.
Matsuyoi glanced at her and spoke gently, "From now on, I'll still be responsible for preparing meals for Kira and Kaguya."
"As you command."
The moon rabbits didn't question anything. They were quiet, obedient, and sensible.
Matsuyoi didn't ask about their background but she knew some details.
In truth, these moon rabbits were lucky to even be alive.
Kaguya was an exile for her rebellion. And these moon rabbits had committed their own offenses as well.
…And in the Lunar Capital, mistakes didn't mean punishment—they meant disposal.
They were only spared because Eirin claimed they were needed for drug testing.
And now? They had been sent down directly. For the rabbit girls were happy.
Living freely on Earth was a blessing for them, after all.
So to these rabbits, the City Lord and the Princess were their benefactors.

"Father?"
Kaguya woke up and was attended by moon rabbits as she washed and dressed. She was already used to it.
When she went to the study to find Kira, she saw him sitting on his La-Z-Boy, his body radiating faint shimmering light.
"Ah!"
Kira closed the book in his hands and set it aside, rubbing his brow. His eyes were tired, but he looked exhilarated. "Kaguya, you're here."
"Father, this is dangerous. Your body is still human. You'll collapse if you overdo it."
Kaguya hurried over in quick little steps, clearly anxious.
No matter how terrifying Kira's abilities were, his physical body was still that of a human. If he got too absorbed in his studies, he could drop dead from exhaustion.
"I know. I just… got too excited last night."
"But—"
"The gains were incredible!"
Kira stood up. He was obviously exhausted, yet glowing with excitement.
⌠⟦Orange • Master of All Martial Arts: Lv1 (Growth Type)⟧⌡
That's right.
In just one night—
His Master of All Martial Arts Purple trait had evolved into Orange. And the level had dropped from Lv3 to Lv1 again, but now he could confirm it.
After white, green, blue, and purple, the next ranks were gold and orange.
As for what lay beyond that— He had no idea yet.
"Father, rest for a bit. I'll help restore your condition." Kaguya didn't press him further. She lifted a hand, ready to use her power.
Her ability, the Manipulation of eternity and the moment.
A soft glow enveloped Kira, fine-tuning his state.
But the moment he felt his condition stabilize—
A terrifying suction force yanked at his consciousness like it was being drawn into a vortex.
"Hnng!"
A pained grunt escaped him. His face went pale in an instant. He pressed a hand to his forehead, and just as he had stood up, he collapsed back to the floor.
"Father?!"
Kaguya gasped and rushed forward.
Kira sat weakly and raised a hand, signaling her not to panic. "I'm fine. Just…"
Fine?
Yeah. Fine. Fine asf.
Except, Kira stared blankly at the new trait that had suddenly appeared.
He had no idea what just happened.
Over the years, he had tested many things. Learning, touching, understanding—if the knowledge fit, he could gain a trait.
But there was one clear rule: {He could not obtain traits for unique innate abilities belonging to others.}
For example—
His aunt once caught a fire-controlling rabbit yokai. Even though he understood it clearly and how it uses its power, he couldn't gain its talent as a trait.
"Father, you—" Kaguya's beautiful face was filled with panic. She had never seen this happen before.
Kira didn't answer. He just stared, dazed, at the new trait that had forcibly appeared.
