Chapter 2 - chapter 2 : the kingdom of Eldoria

~Meanwhile at the kingdom of Eldoria~

The sky was a deep, inky blue, with a soft glow beginning to emerge on the eastern horizon. Delicate pastel pinks and light purples slowly painted the edges of the clouds, creating a serene and magical atmosphere.

It was the day of the grand opening of the Royal Trainees' Workshop. The entire Kingdom of Eldoria buzzed with excitement and anticipation, every street and alley was alive with preparations.

Banners of deep crimson and gold fluttered gracefully in the gentle breeze.

Everybody moved with purposeful energy to make sure everything was in its place .

From the polished cobblestones to the fragrance of garlands everything was just perfect for this day.

After all this event only takes place once in a hundred years,it needs to be perfect.

In this once-in-a-century event, the ruler of the Kingdom of Eldoria will be chosen, who is destined to bear the legendary Crown of Eternity.

The crown is embedded with the most powerful gemstone in the entire universe.

The gemstone has an unimaginable energy, drawn from countless celestial particles scattered across the cosmos.

This crown grants its bearer true immortality, sustaining life and vitality far beyond the reach of ordinary mortals.

Therefore, every clan in the kingdom of Eldoria is fighting for it .

Such power is not given just to anyone .

Only one who possesses extraordinary qualities like courage that defies fear, wisdom that pierces deception, and strength that commands respect can bear the crown and change the history of Eldoria.

The inauguration ceremony began with the commanding speech of Eldoria's current ruler.

Following the speech, a grand feast was laid out, with lavish dishes and sparkling goblets, and all the trainees took their seats.

But just as the atmosphere filled with celebration, disaster struck.

A massive chandelier, loosened and, came crashing down directly between two royal trainees who had been seated facing each other.

The hall erupted in screams as the chandelier shattered.

Immediately, the two injured youths were taken to the royal physician.

The feast ground came to a halt, and a tense silence fell over the hall. All activity paused, and the eyes of every attendee were fixed on the physician's chamber, waiting breathlessly for any sign that the trainees might regain consciousness.

The royal physician examined their body carefully and was surprised to find that there were no sign of any injury, no blood,no broken bones, not even a scratch.

Everybody thought it was some miracle that even after meeting such a disaster, the royal trainees were perfectly fine .

Two days had passed since the chandelier incident, yet the two royal trainees remained unconscious. No spell, potion, or physician's skill seemed able to wake them up . Whispers of worry and unease spread through the kingdom.

The grand workshop could not proceed without them as fairness is the highest principle in Eldoria no clan, no matter how powerful, would be allowed to continue while their fellow trainees were unable to participate. The council declared that all activities would remain suspended until the two youths awakened, reinforcing the kingdom's unwavering commitment to justice and equality.

The next morning Leo's eyes fluttered open and the first thing that hit him was a pounding headache as if a drum was bearing inside his skull .

He struggled to sit up, each movement sending another wave of dizziness through him.

At that the door creaked open, and the Royal Physician stepped inside, his eyes immediately scanning the room. He moment he saw Leo sitting upright, his composed demeanor shattered. A broad smile spread across his face.

He screamed in joy " Finally! You're awake!" he exclaimed, rushing forward to check Leo's vitals and ensuring that every sign pointed to recovery.

Leo's eyes widened as the Royal Physician's hand gripped his.

He was Startled he pulled his hand back instantly , "Excuse me… who are you? Why are you grabbing my hand?" he demanded, his voice a mix of confusion and unease.

"Youngmaster Leonardo, don't you recognise me ? I'm the royal physician"

"My name is simply Leo. Why are you calling me Youngmaster Leonardo? And what do you mean by 'Royal Physician'?" he demanded, his voice sharp with irritation. "Please… stop speaking gibberish and tell me where I am! You're giving me the creeps!"

The Royal Physician blinked, momentarily taken aback by Leo's outburst. A faint chuckle escaped his lips despite the concern in his eyes. "Ah… forgive me, young master," he said, bowing slightly. "It seems I got ahead of myself. You've been unconscious for two days—my excitement must have made me… forget that you might not understand."

He stepped back, giving Leo some space, though his gaze remained full of concern. "You're safe, for now. That is all that matters. Rest assured, we'll explain everything… in time.

The royal physician slowly stepped back towards the door .

Before the Royal Physician could reach the handle and exit, Leo's voice stopped him.

"Do you… No, don't leave! Do you know where Max might be?" His words were urgent, tinged with worry, and his eyes searched the physician's face for any hint of an answer.

" Max? Oh, perhaps you mean youngmaster Maximus? "

Maximus? Ah,why is weird guy calling me and max in such a strange and fancy way Leo wondered.

"Ah,yes I meant youngmaster Maximum"

Royal physician replied "He is at the adjoining room, pointing towards the door "

Leo rushed into the next room, his heart pounding. He began shaking him gently at first, then more urgently. "Max! Wake up! Come on, Max!" he shouted, panic rising in his chest.

But no matter how hard he shook him or called his name, Max remained unresponsive.
