The Creation of the Pokémon World
In the boundless darkness of the universe, all was chaos. Only a giant egg drifted endlessly through the void.
After an unknowable span of time, a horse-like being hatched from the egg. The laws of the universe bestowed upon it a name: Arceus.Omniscient and omnipotent, Arceus possessed the miraculous power to shape reality itself.
Yet even after its birth, the universe remained in chaos. Loneliness endured for eons drove Arceus to act—it began to use its immense power to bring order and create a new world.
Thus, a new world was born.Arceus came to be known as the Original One, the God of Creation.
During the act of creation, fragments of its power scattered, merging with the elemental energies of the world.From this fusion, seventeen Plates were formed, each representing a fundamental aspect of existence.Through the power of these Plates, life itself began to emerge.
To stabilize this newborn world, Arceus created three more miraculous beings:
Dialga, who governed time,
Palkia, who governed space, and
Giratina, who ruled over antimatter.
But what Arceus did not foresee was that Giratina, being bound to antimatter, would be influenced by its violent nature.Filled with rage, Giratina rampaged across the cosmos, threatening to destroy everything Arceus had created.
To preserve balance, Arceus intervened and sealed Giratina away in a distorted dimension—the Distortion World.
Then, Arceus created three more beings to guide and nurture life:Uxie, the Being of Knowledge;Mesprit, the Being of Emotion; andAzelf, the Being of Willpower.
These three entered the new world, bringing thought, feeling, and determination to all living creatures.Thus, the creation of the world was complete.
As the world began to move under its own order, Arceus, having spent its divine energy, fell into a deep slumber.
The Birth of Ancient Life
Ages passed. Deep within the magma, at the bottom of the oceans, and high in the ozone layer of the skies, the first primordial Pokémon began to take form, gathering power as they slept.
On the land, a miraculous lifeform appeared—one said to contain the genetic code of all future Pokémon. It was the ancestor of all life.
The world knew no light until one day, Necrozma emerged from an Ultra Wormhole, shining with brilliance and bringing light to the universe.
Over time, these primordial Pokémon disappeared, giving rise to new and diverse species. Early insectoid Pokémon such as Kabuto, Genesect, and Armaldo became active across the land.
The Division of Continents
After countless ages, a colossal being pulled and shifted the continental plates, dividing the single landmass into separate regions.The continents of the world took shape.
As eras passed, ancient sea lilies vanished, and the Age of Dinosaurs dawned.Pokémon like Tyrantrum, Aerodactyl, Torterra's ancestors, and other ancient species ruled the earth.
In the long evolutionary history of this new world, countless Pokémon were born and went extinct, leaving only the legendary ones—immortal and watchful—observing the ever-changing world.
Humanity gradually arose, forming civilization.
The War of Land and Sea
In ancient times, Kyogre and Groudon awakened from their slumber.Kyogre sought to expand the oceans, while Groudon aimed to reclaim land from the sea.Their conflict plunged the world into chaos—torrential rains and erupting magma threatened all life.
Their battle stirred the skies, awakening Rayquaza, the guardian of the heavens.Descending from the ozone layer, Rayquaza quelled their fury and restored balance.
Exhausted, Kyogre returned to the depths of the sea, and Groudon retreated beneath the magma, both waiting for their next awakening.
Even after their departure, floods ravaged the land. Humans and Pokémon worked together to rebuild.In the East, the hero who tamed the flood became king, marking the dawn of civilization.
The Rainbow Legend
When tyranny arose, a Rainbow Hero, guided by a single rainbow feather, overthrew the despot and founded a new kingdom.This event became known as "The Black Bird Gives Birth to Shang."
However, generations later, the dynasty fell into corruption. King Zhou of Shang was deceived by the thousand-year-old Ninetales, who sought to harvest ancient power through human suffering.
Amid this chaos, three Eevee perished in a fire. Moved by their tragedy, Ho-Oh, the Phoenix King, resurrected them as the Legendary Beasts — Entei, Raikou, and Suicune.But disillusioned by humanity's cruelty, Ho-Oh abandoned the kingdom and flew away.
At Mount Qi, another rainbow feather descended. A young man heard the Phoenix's cry and rose as the new Rainbow Hero, leading a revolution remembered as "The Phoenix Cries at Mount Qi."
When peace was restored, he entered the ancestral hall of Shang to welcome Ho-Oh—but only the three Beasts came.They told him that the Phoenix King no longer trusted humanity, and would not answer their prayers again.
Thus began the separation between mortals and the divine—the fading of myth from history.
The Western Myths
In the West, giants once roamed the land.A young warrior named Zeus, together with his partner Zeraora, fought and sealed these titans, restoring peace.Amazed by their might, people deified them—Zeus and his twelve allies became known as the Twelve Olympian Gods.
The Great Wall and the Clay Guardians
In the East, a mighty Ground-type trainer unified the warring regions, forming the first empire in human history.He built a Great Wall to protect humanity from wild Pokémon beyond its borders.
Using his mastery over the earth, he created two guardians: Baltoy and Claydol, who stood watch along the Great Wall to defend mankind.
The Sword of Will
In the West, King Arthur's unwavering resolve moved Azelf, the Being of Willpower.Azelf granted him the Sword of Will, empowering him to unite the British Isles with the aid of two legendary Pokémon—believed to be Zacian and Zamazenta.
The Modern Era
In modern times, the Fairy type was discovered, revolutionizing the balance of battle.Its natural power against Dragon-types carried immense strategic importance.
Seeking unity, nations across the world formed the Pokémon League, setting aside their old divisions.Yet in the East—known as the Land of Dragons—ancient Dragon Masters were nearly crushed by the advancing Western alliances.
But from adversity came strength: many young trainers abandoned their reliance on Dragons, mastering other types to fight back and reclaim their homeland.Eventually, the ancient Eastern nations reformed, abolishing the old hierarchy and forming the East Asian Alliance.
With peace restored, their reverence for Dragon Pokémon returned stronger than ever.To resist the "pink fairies," the Alliance launched the Steel and Flame Campaign, ushering in the rise of Steel, Fire, and Poison-type Dragons as symbols of power.
The Present Age
Now, trainer civilization and technology thrive together, propelling the Blue Planet—our Pokémon world—into an unknown future.
