Hidan was wandering through the Land of Rain, staring up at the endless drizzle dripping down his face. After hours of trudging around, he finally threw his arms up and groaned.
"Bored as fuck! Enough of this shit walk."
He rubbed his chin like he was actually deep in thought.
"Hmmm… what should I even do? The big show doesn't start for another two, three days. Am I just supposed to sit here, bathing in rainwater like some depressed duck?"
His eyes lit up suddenly.
"Since that's the case… might as well clap some cheeks, right?"
Hidan smacked his palm into his fist with a self-satisfied grin, as if he'd just uncovered the secret to life itself.
"Isn't it common sense to clap someone when you've got nothing to do?"
The grin widened, wild and toothy. Without another word, he warped into Kamui, his body vanishing into the void until he reappeared at the heart of the dimension before the towering spire that pierced the skies.
Stretching his arms, Hidan suddenly began to sing, voice loud and cheerfully off-key, echoing through the void:
🎵
"Itachiii~ your dear ol' father is here,
Taking care of your Tsukuyomi's bride who once chased you near!
Do you feel grateful? Do you feel moved?
While I'm moving deviously—ooh, in the groove!
Your eyes were cool, your heart was steel,
But now I'm the one she is going to feel~
Itachi, Itachi, don't cry in despair,
Your wife's mine, so say a prayer!
🎵
He cackled at his own performance, throwing his head back as the sound bounced across the void like thunder.
"Perfect. Even my songs are masterpieces. This makes me proud."
Soon he arrived at the door, staring at it with a smirk.
"Coming through the door like a normal person…"
He paused, then said with a laugh.
"Kidding!"
Hidan's body twisted with Kamui, and he casually phased straight through the door itself, stepping into the room like a ghost with zero sense of boundaries.
The sudden intrusion jolted the two women who had been quietly eating. Chopsticks froze. Eyes widened.
Izumi reacted the hardest, her face flushed red as she gagged, spitting out the food she'd been chewing, panic flashing in her eyes.
Shame crashed over her. Disgust too.
At first, she had stubbornly refused to touch anything this pervert brought.
But when she saw Mikoto Uchiha calmly eating without resistance, her resolve began to crack.
Confused, she had asked why.
Mikoto's answer came with a strained smile, her voice trembling with both resignation and fear.
"I tried to kill myself before… but I couldn't. That boy must've done something to us. Even if I stop eating, or fight back… it won't change anything."
Her voice softened, eyes dropping with the weight of a mother's fear.
"Not to mention, it might even endanger Sasuke-kun's life."
From Hidan's offhand comments, Mikoto had pieced together fragments of information.
Enough to know her son was alive. Enough to make her beg, trembling, that he be spared.
Hidan's only reply had been a single sentence one that echoed in her chest every time she dared think of it.
"It depends on your performance."
That was all.
Meaningless pride wasn't worth Sasuke's life. So she forced herself to obey. She even urged Izumi to eat as well.
Now, as Hidan appeared without warning, Izumi felt her dignity collapse into dust. He had caught her in the act, chewing scraps like a dog beside Mikoto Uchiha.
"Ohhh~ what's this?" Hidan drawled, tilting his head, voice dripping with amusement.
"Someone's looking real eager. Like a hungry little dog at dinner."
Izumi froze, then slammed her chopsticks down with a sulky growl.
"Damn it!"
She turned her face away, refusing to even glance at him, cheeks burning with rage and humiliation.
Meanwhile, Hidan just stood there, grinning like the devil himself, enjoying every second of the scene.
He then ignored Izumi's sulking for the moment and turned his gaze toward Mikoto.
She seemed to understand instantly. Rising from the bed, she walked slowly to him, her every step heavy with resignation.
Then, without a word, she knelt before him, head bowed, eyes locking onto his as if waiting for command.
Though she masked it well, Hidan could see the truth in those eyes...the simmering anger, the reluctant submission.
But surprisingly… no hatred.
Ohhh? That's interesting… what killed the hatred but left everything else? Hidan mused, watching the proud Uchiha woman on her knees.
"Get up," he said calmly, brushing past her without so much as a glance. "I'm not here for you this time."
Mikoto stayed kneeling, frozen, her lips tightening.
Hidan's voice carried over his shoulder, smooth and cheerful.
"Also, have a good look at what I'm about to do next. You're not allowed to look away."
The words slammed into the room.
Izumi's ears twitched. Her heart pounded in her chest, a storm of panic rising.
She wanted to run. She wanted to scream. But her body betrayed her. She couldn't move.
Deep down she knew...tonight, she might lose the innocence she had protected for years.
Itachi-kun… help me. Please. Her mind screamed his name like a desperate mantra. Come and save me… be my hero… please…
Her prayer was answered with a laugh.
"Hahaha~ you must be thinking about Itachi, right?" Hidan's voice was loud and mocking, hitting right into her heart.
"Do you think he's going to swoop in and save you? Like some prince in a fairy tale?" He leaned closer, his face shadowed, his tone dropping ice cold.
"How pathetically naive."
The playful smile was gone. His mood which was originally very good... was now gone.
This bitch actually dared to think of Itachi? Even after all the shit that bastard pulled? What kind of delusional, love-brained nonsense was this?
Seems like you need a factory reset, Hidan thought, his eyes narrowing.
Hidan was never the good guy. Never the savior.
He was chaos itself...his motives and actions twisting with his mood.
If you pleased him, he might laugh, tease, even show a kind of twisted gentleness that was genuine in its own way.
But if it was the other way around…
