(SANDRA'S POV)
I've been staring at the same set of notes for what feels like hours now.
Plans. Backup plans. Backup plans for the backup plans.
Names. Routes. Timings. Entry points. Exit points.
And the four of us are still going over everything like it's the first time.
Bruno is pacing slowly behind the couch, arms folded. Michele is leaning forward with his elbows on his knees, studying the layout on the tablet in his hands. Leo is sprawled out in the armchair, one leg bouncing restlessly as he throws out the occasional suggestion.
Kiki has been working on Krystal, Val, Angelo, and Raffaele since morning. It's past four now and we haven't seen any of them in hours.
Every now and then, we hear laughter, random shrieks, and Kiki's voice echoing through the hallway like she's hosting a damn reality show, and it makes it hard for me to concentrate.
I pinch the bridge of my nose, exhaling slowly.
