(KRYSTAL'S POV)
My eyes go wide.
For half a second I honestly think I might die from a heart attack right here on this stage in front of ninety thousand people.
I turn my head slowly, like if I move too fast something bad will happen.
Adrianna Jackson is staring straight at me. And she's smiling.
Not the big, flashy popstar grin she's been wearing all night. Not the polished red carpet smile she gives cameras.
This one is dark.
Evil.
The crowd is still clapping, still cheering, still losing their goddamn minds, but I can't hear any of it anymore. The sound cuts out like someone flipped a switch in my head. All that exists is the roar of blood in my ears and the way Adrianna's eyes never leave my face.
Then she takes my hand. I immediately try to pull away but she grips my wrist tighter.
She lifts our joined hands high into the air and turns back to the crowd.
"Give it up one more time for the beautiful and talented Christina!" she shouts into the mic.
