285. Devouring Heaven and Earth!
"Dr. Mei, Dr. Mei!" Klein knocked anxiously on the door of Dr. Mei's laboratory.
"Klein? What brings you here?" Dr. Mei looked at Klein with a puzzled expression.
"Dr. Mobius has been missing for days. Could you please ask Prometheus to find her?"
Klein's small face was filled with anxiety.
"Dr. Mobius…" Dr. Mei sighed softly and led Klein inside.
Prometheus seemed to have been prepared, activating the miniature drones beside Mobius to display Mobius's situation.
"This is… Dr. Mobius?"
Fear appeared on Klein's face.
The surveillance footage clearly showed an enormous serpent! It was violently devouring all the Honkai Beasts in its path.
Even the Emperor-level Honkai Beasts, facing Mobius, showed an instinctive fear, trying to escape but being dragged little by little into the endless abyss by the shadow beneath the giant serpent's feet.
"According to the information Ai provided at the last moment, Dr. Mobius likely injected herself with the potion Dr. Ling was researching. But even though the potion was already complete, Dr. Mobius still entered this berserk state called 'Active Honkai Reaction.'"
"Dr. Ling's potion contains not only 'Sesa's Honkai Beast ICHOR but also 'Vishnu's Honkai Beast ICHOR. She's currently traveling around the world, following her instincts, constantly devouring Honkai Beasts to grow stronger."
"I've temporarily concealed this matter, but if Dr. Mobius continues to consume them like this, she'll probably be discovered soon."
Dr. Mei explained as she looked at the surveillance footage.
She couldn't help but sigh. Dr. Ling had truly left her with a major problem.
Although Ling's achievements in the scientific field surpassed Mobius's, that was only because Mobius was subject to limitations.
She knew Mobius's madness better than anyone.
Now, everything that had restrained Mobius had vanished, including Dr. Ling, the only one who could stop her. Dr. Mei couldn't foresee what Mobius would become.

Dr. Mei shook her head, not optimistic about Mobius's situation.
"Consciousness... wait, I have a way! Aponia! Aponia's commandments can definitely save the doctor!" Klein said urgently.
"Klein…Aponia was already dead before we found her, the cause unknown. Prometheus's current theory is suicide." Dr. Mei extinguished her last hope.
"How…how could this be…" Klein staggered back a few steps and collapsed to the ground.
Looking at the terrifying giant serpent in the surveillance footage, she couldn't connect it with Mobius.
Exhausted and overwhelmed by this devastating blow, Klein suddenly felt dizzy and fainted.
"Klein!"
Before her eyes closed, the last thing Klein heard was Dr. Mei's voice calling her.
When Klein awoke, a familiar emerald green appeared before her eyes.
"Doctor…Doctor?!" Klein suddenly sat up.
"Thank goodness, Dr. Mobius, you're alright…that's so good…" Klein hugged the person in front of her tightly.
Wait, has Dr. Mobius shrunk?
Mobius looked at Klein with a helpless expression. She had only been gone for a few days; how could Klein have gotten herself into this state?
"Alright, don't cry. My Klein isn't that fragile," Mobius gently stroked her hair, comforting her.
"Doctor, what happened?" Klein looked at Mobius, whose body had shrunk to the size of a twelve-year-old, completely bewildered.
Wasn't Mobius a giant snake before she fainted? How did she turn back? And become smaller!
"I was fine to begin with. Doctor Mei is right. Consuming a massive amount of Honkai Beasts certainly puts immense pressure on the mind, but before leaving the Fire Moth, I had Aponia apply 'Discipline' to me, so I've been fine," Mobius explained.
"So, Doctor is still Doctor!" Klein breathed a sigh of relief.
"By the way, why did Doctor shrink?" Klein asked, looking at Mobius's figure.
"This isn't shrinking, it's evolution…" Mobius shook her head.
Having devoured tens of thousands of Honkai Beasts, her body and spirit had undergone a complete evolution.
But this evolution hadn't stopped; she needed to continue devouring!
"Dr. Mobius, I apologize for interrupting your tender moment, but the Eleventh Herrscher has descended."
Prometheus's voice appeared in their ears.
"The Eleventh Herrscher?" Mobius's serpentine eyes flashed with a chilling light.
"Her ability is to create a barrier with a radius of 110 kilometers. Within this barrier, all Honkai energy and even electronic systems will malfunction." Prometheus informed Mobius of the available information.
"The higher-ups are currently summoning you for a meeting to discuss countermeasures."
However, as soon as Prometheus finished speaking, Mobius vanished, leaving only a shadow on the ground.
Klein also disappeared with her.
"Doctor, where is this?"
Looking at the endless darkness around her, Klein asked the question that had been bothering her.
"This is inside my stomach," Mobius said with a mischievous grin, touching Klein's cheek, seemingly trying to scare her.
"Please don't eat me, I haven't bathed in three days!" Klein cried out, playing along perfectly.
Because Mobius seemed perfectly normal now, showing no anger at Dr. Ling's death, which was exactly what Klein wanted.
What she feared most was that Mobius would really go mad; if that happened, no one could help.
"That's such a fake performance," Mobius said, tugging at Klein's cheek, naturally understanding why she was playing along.
"This is my space, you could call it a stomach pouch. It's easier to move around in here."
Before long, the two arrived outside the Eleventh Herrscher Barrier.
This speed was even faster than the fastest warship of the Fire Moth.
"Klein, this is my final advice to you. After witnessing that scene, if you still decide to follow me, I will keep you by my side and make you work 25 hours a day. You can never escape."
Mobius said coldly with her back to Klein.
"If you want to leave, I won't stop you either. I'll send you to Su's place, where you'll receive the best treatment."
Before Klein could respond, Mobius vanished into the shadows once more.
Immediately, the shadows began to expand at an alarming rate, their area growing exponentially.
From the sky, it looked like a bottomless black hole gradually engulfing the Eleventh Herrscher Barrier.
A terrifying thought arose in Klein's mind: Was Mobius going to devour the Eleventh Herrscher Barrier along with the Herrscher?!
Her suspicions were quickly confirmed. The shadow enveloped the entire 110-kilometer radius barrier and then began to devour it.
The barrier shrank at a visible rate, the shadow shrinking along with it.
Where the shadow disappeared, even the underground soil vanished.
In just half an hour, the Eleventh Herrscher Barrier disappeared, leaving only a bottomless crater.
Mobius had devoured the Eleventh Herrscher Barrier, along with the Herrschers, Honkai Beasts, and even the entire city within!
"Alright, make your choice, Klein~" Mobius's voice suddenly appeared behind Klein, startling her.
"Doctor, please don't suddenly appear behind me again. I'm easily frightened." Klein patted her chest, looking shaken.
And this was precisely Klein's choice.
"Klein doesn't have the authority to command me." Mobius licked her lower lip.
"Can I back out?" Klein seemed to already foresee how tragic her future would be.
"No."
The shadow swept out and swallowed Klein again.
Back at the Fire Moth, the assembled executives were completely stunned. Even Dr. Mei was utterly incredulous, constantly adjusting her glasses to hide her anxiety.
